it feels so good zapping nostr notes from mutiny but its refreshing to hear the issues spelled out. I didnt really know about the issue of having to have reserves for large payments
with fedimint, I'm keen to see where goes but there's a part of me that doesn't like the limited auditability of them.
would be great to hear a bit more about how the covenants can solve some of the issues you mention too. like what would a solution look like with one of them implemented or something.
I hope we never ever have to give up on the dream of scaled self custody. and while it kind of sucks to think a lot of dev time will go into fedimints but a better solve may come from elsewhere, I guess this is what happens. we nees to explore things in the real world until they break

software auto prints and sends them after accounts payable approve payments. they then get sent to a bank's lockbox of vendor.
someone contracted by banks sits in front of each and types out details. then someone from accounts receivable of vendor exports a csv file from the bank and uploads to their own software to confirm who has paid what.
because software and machines have solved the print and send piece and the banks have scale and outsourced the manual part of processing to a low cost jurisdiction goodness knows where its still unfortunately very cost effective for both sides
