Last Notes npub1hv64t0jlg94p0tpq6zc8mrc5kyfhzwwn8fxp6m45jwdn9pmfs53q0yrjjm Bored Satoshi And Forbes blocks Tor. Right... npub1hv64t0jlg94p0tpq6zc8mrc5kyfhzwwn8fxp6m45jwdn9pmfs53q0yrjjm Bored Satoshi There's no guarantee that your data is actually being deleted by normal social media platforms. You're worried about your wife finding out about you but you're giving out your identity to the 3 letter agencies. Isn't that worse? npub1hv64t0jlg94p0tpq6zc8mrc5kyfhzwwn8fxp6m45jwdn9pmfs53q0yrjjm Bored Satoshi Maybe just keep it anon forever? Don't tell you wife or your government that you are this npub. If you already have, don't tell them about the new npub. Whatever you put out on the internet will live on forever. It's even more true for Nostr as you sign every note with your nsec. At least you can claim normal social media screenshots are fake ahahahahaha. Just followed you today. Guess it's futile ahaha npub1hv64t0jlg94p0tpq6zc8mrc5kyfhzwwn8fxp6m45jwdn9pmfs53q0yrjjm Bored Satoshi If you want to trade the attention economy, yes. Knowing algo manipulating you and everyone else is also information. npub1hv64t0jlg94p0tpq6zc8mrc5kyfhzwwn8fxp6m45jwdn9pmfs53q0yrjjm Bored Satoshi How do you envision that happening? npub1hv64t0jlg94p0tpq6zc8mrc5kyfhzwwn8fxp6m45jwdn9pmfs53q0yrjjm Bored Satoshi There are ways to justify it but the incentives are there, don't you agree? Old podcasts are not bad if they are still considered relevant. We can move on from them if they are not relevant anymore. npub1hv64t0jlg94p0tpq6zc8mrc5kyfhzwwn8fxp6m45jwdn9pmfs53q0yrjjm Bored Satoshi I don't even know where to start ahahahaha npub1hv64t0jlg94p0tpq6zc8mrc5kyfhzwwn8fxp6m45jwdn9pmfs53q0yrjjm Bored Satoshi You are as annoying as you were before. You are the devil I know than a stranger. I'll take it. Ahhahhaahahha The house would have outperformed Bitcoin with respect to every asset in the universe. Say 1 Bitcoin = 0.00000001 Sun (if we use stars as currencies) 1 house would be 0.0000001 Sun After 2 years 1 Bitcoin = 0.00000002 Sun 1 house would be 0.00000024 Sun npub1hv64t0jlg94p0tpq6zc8mrc5kyfhzwwn8fxp6m45jwdn9pmfs53q0yrjjm Bored Satoshi Jesse, What the Fuck Are You Talking About https://image.nostr.build/c4184b3cd9b456c73e5d30e32c9b2a4f76681200e11f23803e2883e7a1105c45.jpg npub1hv64t0jlg94p0tpq6zc8mrc5kyfhzwwn8fxp6m45jwdn9pmfs53q0yrjjm Bored Satoshi Bitcoin will be less and less deflationary going forward. We will have better tools to hold and spend our sats. Bitcoin is a fixed supply currency. Currencies with inflation will go out of fashion. npub1hv64t0jlg94p0tpq6zc8mrc5kyfhzwwn8fxp6m45jwdn9pmfs53q0yrjjm Bored Satoshi I bet you will take loans in the future. I bet you will borrow Bitcoin against some collateral as well. npub1hv64t0jlg94p0tpq6zc8mrc5kyfhzwwn8fxp6m45jwdn9pmfs53q0yrjjm Bored Satoshi People don't realize this ahahahaha #nevent1q…kf7e npub1hv64t0jlg94p0tpq6zc8mrc5kyfhzwwn8fxp6m45jwdn9pmfs53q0yrjjm Bored Satoshi People will borrow bitcoin because they will have no other options. If someone is lending you in $$$ they would be the holders of $$$. The right question here would then be "who in their right might would hold dollars in the future". npub1hv64t0jlg94p0tpq6zc8mrc5kyfhzwwn8fxp6m45jwdn9pmfs53q0yrjjm Bored Satoshi It's the reality ahahaha Why didn't you work hard to pay back your loan Laeserin? npub1hv64t0jlg94p0tpq6zc8mrc5kyfhzwwn8fxp6m45jwdn9pmfs53q0yrjjm Bored Satoshi By being valued at 12 Bitcoins. That means the house has outperformed Bitcoin. When the house was bought: 1 Bitcoin = $100k 1 house = 10 BTC = $1m After 2 years 1 Bitcoin = $200k 1 house = 12 BTC = $2.4m That means the house has outperformed Bitcoin. Even if there's no dollar in the world anymore, the house will have outperformed Bitcoin if the exchange rate is 12 BTC instead of 10 npub1hv64t0jlg94p0tpq6zc8mrc5kyfhzwwn8fxp6m45jwdn9pmfs53q0yrjjm Bored Satoshi Under the Bitcoin standard, people will still borrow Bitcoins to buy houses or other assets. These loans will be cheap, like 0.5% rather than 5% and they will have high liquidation penalties. Example: You have 5 Bitcoins and you want to buy a house worth 10 Bitcoins. The market value for this house right now is 10 Bitcoins. The loan issuer will happily accept the house as collateral and give you the loan. You both agree to use a market analyst who estimates the value of the house at any time. Right now it is 10 Bitcoins. And you agree to liquidate the house if the debt value + liquidation penalty (say 1 Bitcoin) > the value of the house. You are now 5 Bitcoins in debt with 5% interest rate. You are right to assume that the value of the house COULD go down in value with respect to Bitcoin over time if the value of Bitcoin keeps going up. In 2 years, say the market analyst says the value of the house is 5.5 Bitcoins and you are still 4.5 Bitcoins in debt. You made a bad investment. So this triggers a liquidation where the issuer sells your house for 5.5 Bitcoins and will keep the entire amount as the penalty is 1 Bitcoin. I don't see a problem here. Do you? Ideally you do not want to buy a house by borrowing Bitcoin unless you believe the house will outperform Bitcoin in 10 years. Which might happen by the way, Bitcoin cannot keep going up with respect to every other asset in the world. Some real estate will definitely outperform Bitcoin once it reaches the $100T range. Now, why would you take a loan in Bitcoin? Because there are no other currencies in the world still standing. The issuers will only issue loans in Bitcoin. Because the issuer does not want to hold any other currencies. The Bitcoin standard will fix everything. Ahahaha npub1hv64t0jlg94p0tpq6zc8mrc5kyfhzwwn8fxp6m45jwdn9pmfs53q0yrjjm Bored Satoshi He is acting in his best interest. Like each and every one of us. Politicians are just that with bigger agendas. Never rally behind or against politicians. It is a waste of time. It is a TV show. npub1hv64t0jlg94p0tpq6zc8mrc5kyfhzwwn8fxp6m45jwdn9pmfs53q0yrjjm Bored Satoshi Social media is a tool for communicating with other like minded individuals. Some people communicate all day, every day because engagement pays. Which is fine. But I want to communicate only when I need to. And go into the monk mode, reading and writing when I have little to communicate. npub1hv64t0jlg94p0tpq6zc8mrc5kyfhzwwn8fxp6m45jwdn9pmfs53q0yrjjm Bored Satoshi I do not see any problems with that/:) npub1hv64t0jlg94p0tpq6zc8mrc5kyfhzwwn8fxp6m45jwdn9pmfs53q0yrjjm Bored Satoshi Pop culture amirite. npub1hv64t0jlg94p0tpq6zc8mrc5kyfhzwwn8fxp6m45jwdn9pmfs53q0yrjjm Bored Satoshi I have been thinking about this for far too long. I would trust my friends who have done the research over a Google or Amazon search. Most of the internet is trying to deceive us. Redditors could be trusted back in the days but not anymore. We need the web of trust. Let me know how I can contribute to this further. npub1hv64t0jlg94p0tpq6zc8mrc5kyfhzwwn8fxp6m45jwdn9pmfs53q0yrjjm Bored Satoshi The root of all problems. I would appreciate someone create a tree of all problems with the government at its root. Any such tools? npub1hv64t0jlg94p0tpq6zc8mrc5kyfhzwwn8fxp6m45jwdn9pmfs53q0yrjjm Bored Satoshi Set a precedent by going anon. It's a sacrifice you can make by rejecting all the benefits of having your real identity on Nostr. Are you willing to make it? npub1hv64t0jlg94p0tpq6zc8mrc5kyfhzwwn8fxp6m45jwdn9pmfs53q0yrjjm Bored Satoshi Satoshi had to have been a capitalist, no socialistic free open source software dev can think of Bitcoin. It is highly likely that he mined a lot of blocks in those first 2 years. Besides it doesn't make sense to build a software and not run it yourself. He owns a lot of Bitcoin. I'm sure he mined several blocks after he disappeared. He is now enjoying his life spending his creation. npub1hv64t0jlg94p0tpq6zc8mrc5kyfhzwwn8fxp6m45jwdn9pmfs53q0yrjjm Bored Satoshi How do cypherpunks become more powerful than the state? npub1hv64t0jlg94p0tpq6zc8mrc5kyfhzwwn8fxp6m45jwdn9pmfs53q0yrjjm Bored Satoshi I understand. Tor is a struggle. But it is worth the sacrifice. npub1hv64t0jlg94p0tpq6zc8mrc5kyfhzwwn8fxp6m45jwdn9pmfs53q0yrjjm Bored Satoshi If Satoshi got bored and came back he would use Tor instead of dual vpns https://gitlab.torproject.org/legacy/trac/-/wikis/doc/TorPlusVPN npub1hv64t0jlg94p0tpq6zc8mrc5kyfhzwwn8fxp6m45jwdn9pmfs53q0yrjjm Bored Satoshi TLDR anyone? This was my conclusion after thinking about this problem for a while: #nevent1q…cqw3 npub1hv64t0jlg94p0tpq6zc8mrc5kyfhzwwn8fxp6m45jwdn9pmfs53q0yrjjm Bored Satoshi Could you please share your dark arts with us? npub1hv64t0jlg94p0tpq6zc8mrc5kyfhzwwn8fxp6m45jwdn9pmfs53q0yrjjm Bored Satoshi Spot on. We do not need to convert non-cypherpunks to be cypherpunks. We need to find those who already are to fight alongside each other. Do you consider yourself cypherpunk? npub1hv64t0jlg94p0tpq6zc8mrc5kyfhzwwn8fxp6m45jwdn9pmfs53q0yrjjm Bored Satoshi Whatever your values are, Tornado Cash was/is the best part of Ethereum. If you do not stand WITH cryptographers against the state, we do not respect you. Pablo was probably joking here. #nevent1q…2qd8 npub1hv64t0jlg94p0tpq6zc8mrc5kyfhzwwn8fxp6m45jwdn9pmfs53q0yrjjm Bored Satoshi To think Ethereum is not on your side is honestly delusional. I think they will stand and watch when they come for Bitcoin L2s because they disagree with some aspects of it. npub1hv64t0jlg94p0tpq6zc8mrc5kyfhzwwn8fxp6m45jwdn9pmfs53q0yrjjm Bored Satoshi L2's built on OP_CAT npub1hv64t0jlg94p0tpq6zc8mrc5kyfhzwwn8fxp6m45jwdn9pmfs53q0yrjjm Bored Satoshi Tor is the new normal. #nevent1q…tyw2 npub1hv64t0jlg94p0tpq6zc8mrc5kyfhzwwn8fxp6m45jwdn9pmfs53q0yrjjm Bored Satoshi This is the problem. We do not have anything that a layman can use. Everything requires significant buy in from the user. Why isn't this commercialised yet? We need service providers that abstract all the complexity away for some fees. @npub1494…zmp0 why not lead the way? :) npub1hv64t0jlg94p0tpq6zc8mrc5kyfhzwwn8fxp6m45jwdn9pmfs53q0yrjjm Bored Satoshi Anonymity is a sacrifice some of us are making to defend against the state. We do not want fame. We do not want women. We do not want luxury. We want to provide value to the #privacy world because we want our kids to enjoy true freedom. Satoshi stayed anonymous for the same reason. Would you sacrifice for the next generation? npub1hv64t0jlg94p0tpq6zc8mrc5kyfhzwwn8fxp6m45jwdn9pmfs53q0yrjjm Bored Satoshi Can we all stay anonymous as we build alternatives? npub1hv64t0jlg94p0tpq6zc8mrc5kyfhzwwn8fxp6m45jwdn9pmfs53q0yrjjm Bored Satoshi It is not always true. Some will stumble upon it by sheer luck. Or through inheritance, stealing. But most Bitcoiners worked for it I say. It is possible that some wealthy trust fund kids would have rode the way by putting their money into Bitcoin. npub1hv64t0jlg94p0tpq6zc8mrc5kyfhzwwn8fxp6m45jwdn9pmfs53q0yrjjm Bored Satoshi Yes. I have heard. Remember, it has happened to a lot more anons holding bitcoin. Just that we can never know. npub1hv64t0jlg94p0tpq6zc8mrc5kyfhzwwn8fxp6m45jwdn9pmfs53q0yrjjm Bored Satoshi What content is interesting for you? npub1hv64t0jlg94p0tpq6zc8mrc5kyfhzwwn8fxp6m45jwdn9pmfs53q0yrjjm Bored Satoshi We are all forgetting things very fast. We find out when a dev stumbles upon a bug through sheer luck. npub1hv64t0jlg94p0tpq6zc8mrc5kyfhzwwn8fxp6m45jwdn9pmfs53q0yrjjm Bored Satoshi What do you think about Amethyst with Tor? npub1hv64t0jlg94p0tpq6zc8mrc5kyfhzwwn8fxp6m45jwdn9pmfs53q0yrjjm Bored Satoshi Why was he killed? I'm deeply saddened by a 2012 Bitcoiner's mysterious death. npub1hv64t0jlg94p0tpq6zc8mrc5kyfhzwwn8fxp6m45jwdn9pmfs53q0yrjjm Bored Satoshi It matters. We care about it. But individual anon users like me do not have enough influence on what should be the standard. Amethyst has Tor support. That's how I plan to protect my IP. And I do not trust Nostr DMs. I move important DMs to SimpleX. #nevent1q…gu2n npub1hv64t0jlg94p0tpq6zc8mrc5kyfhzwwn8fxp6m45jwdn9pmfs53q0yrjjm Bored Satoshi The problem with the current world is that repeatation is rewarded. 1. More podcasts sell more ads 2. More articles sell more subscriptions/ads 3. More notes get zapped more The more you repeat, the more you're rewarded. Because it's the attention economy. We have 1000s of Bitcoin vs Fiat podcasts. Why don't newcomers build on existing knowledge than create their own knowledge base? Because INCENTIVES. Who else wants to break this cycle? npub1hv64t0jlg94p0tpq6zc8mrc5kyfhzwwn8fxp6m45jwdn9pmfs53q0yrjjm Bored Satoshi Because the incentives are to write about Nostr development to get zapped than to do the development. Could it be an accidental drug? Just like how you might accidentally step on a needle, you might start off thinking you're building distribution but then you find yourself making enough money by simply building distribution, why build a product at all? This seems to be the main problem with our fallen brothers at the Web3 junction as well. The main job has become marketing rather than product or solving problems. npub1hv64t0jlg94p0tpq6zc8mrc5kyfhzwwn8fxp6m45jwdn9pmfs53q0yrjjm Bored Satoshi Where can I read Nostr highlights of the last 2 days? Sorting by the most recent is a lazy solution some clients have resorted to. #asknostr npub1hv64t0jlg94p0tpq6zc8mrc5kyfhzwwn8fxp6m45jwdn9pmfs53q0yrjjm Bored Satoshi All I'm saying is: not all non-bitcoin tokens are shit. I'd refrain from conveying these statements to your large audiences. Many people will believe your words without a second thought because they trust you. Instead I would say: Printing your own *scam* money is the antithesis of Bitcoin. These shitcoins *that provide no value to the world* are an abomination. *Can we stop promoting such shitcoins and only promote good coins?* npub1hv64t0jlg94p0tpq6zc8mrc5kyfhzwwn8fxp6m45jwdn9pmfs53q0yrjjm Bored Satoshi How would you go about it? npub1hv64t0jlg94p0tpq6zc8mrc5kyfhzwwn8fxp6m45jwdn9pmfs53q0yrjjm Bored Satoshi Two of the greatest innovations in the last 3/4 centuries are Bitcoin and the stock market. I wish all Bitcoiners acknowledged the fact that enterprises built the world we live in. Issuing new tokens is the same as issuing new stocks. But some tokens are shit just like how some stocks are shit. npub1hv64t0jlg94p0tpq6zc8mrc5kyfhzwwn8fxp6m45jwdn9pmfs53q0yrjjm Bored Satoshi Ahahah. This is hilarious. They have no checks and balances. Everyone is distracted on content engines like Tiktok, Meta, X, YouTube, nobody is paying attention or giving this a second thought. I wish Nostr doesn't become another content engine. #nevent1q…ypya npub1hv64t0jlg94p0tpq6zc8mrc5kyfhzwwn8fxp6m45jwdn9pmfs53q0yrjjm Bored Satoshi We are legendary Pokémon. We can't be captured. Ahahaha. Seriously though, to fight user capture, we need to control our attention better. npub1hv64t0jlg94p0tpq6zc8mrc5kyfhzwwn8fxp6m45jwdn9pmfs53q0yrjjm Bored Satoshi This is how Bitcoin is built. Built to enable these things. Something that is not financial for you could be financial for someone else. When SegWit and Taproot were introduced, did the core devs anticipate these problems? Why did they not see this as an attack vector back then? Because it is not. This not an attack on Bitcoin. Runes and Ordinals obey the bitcoin protocol, they do not lead to double spends, 51% attacks, or any of the problems Satoshi built Bitcoin to solve. This is not an attack just because this new usecase leads to higher fees for vanilla Bitcoin transactions. It is a zero sum game that will slow soon. But people will find ways to make this more useful. Ahahaha npub1hv64t0jlg94p0tpq6zc8mrc5kyfhzwwn8fxp6m45jwdn9pmfs53q0yrjjm Bored Satoshi That is true. Switching states/countries is very expensive at the moment. I believe it will get cheaper over time. npub1hv64t0jlg94p0tpq6zc8mrc5kyfhzwwn8fxp6m45jwdn9pmfs53q0yrjjm Bored Satoshi Another one: #nevent1q…fnql npub1hv64t0jlg94p0tpq6zc8mrc5kyfhzwwn8fxp6m45jwdn9pmfs53q0yrjjm Bored Satoshi *Maybe* you're confusing with the definition of a nation and a state. A nation is a group of people that identify as one group. A state is the governing body elected/chosen by/for the nation. Do you agree with this? npub1hv64t0jlg94p0tpq6zc8mrc5kyfhzwwn8fxp6m45jwdn9pmfs53q0yrjjm Bored Satoshi What is your definition of "a state"? How different is it from a government? npub1hv64t0jlg94p0tpq6zc8mrc5kyfhzwwn8fxp6m45jwdn9pmfs53q0yrjjm Bored Satoshi There should be a place for Nostr devs to post. A Nostr developer community. npub1hv64t0jlg94p0tpq6zc8mrc5kyfhzwwn8fxp6m45jwdn9pmfs53q0yrjjm Bored Satoshi Another brother #nevent1q…kzgy npub1hv64t0jlg94p0tpq6zc8mrc5kyfhzwwn8fxp6m45jwdn9pmfs53q0yrjjm Bored Satoshi Are you calling @npub1g7l…8yd9 a clown? I think he simply has different values. And different conclusions. npub1hv64t0jlg94p0tpq6zc8mrc5kyfhzwwn8fxp6m45jwdn9pmfs53q0yrjjm Bored Satoshi Ahahahahaha. This thing has such low backing that it js still called "Merge PR 29778" OP_CAT is what I can see get included in a soft fork. Good backing. And no, we're not changing the issuance of Bitcoin. There can only be 21m Bitcoins. #nevent1q…yhk6 npub1hv64t0jlg94p0tpq6zc8mrc5kyfhzwwn8fxp6m45jwdn9pmfs53q0yrjjm Bored Satoshi Bitcoin solves a lot of things, including being a currency for adversaries of nation states like Russians, Iranians, drug lords, and now gamblers. Drugs and gambling as a whole is not Bitcoin's problem to solve. Let us not get distracted. Let us find better solutions for problems at hand. https://twitter.com/rodarmor/status/1781507176848302416 #nevent1q…lm2d npub1hv64t0jlg94p0tpq6zc8mrc5kyfhzwwn8fxp6m45jwdn9pmfs53q0yrjjm Bored Satoshi Happy halving!! Happy to follow you as well!! npub1hv64t0jlg94p0tpq6zc8mrc5kyfhzwwn8fxp6m45jwdn9pmfs53q0yrjjm Bored Satoshi A few cents? Last week? I paid $20+ for a transaction recently. npub1hv64t0jlg94p0tpq6zc8mrc5kyfhzwwn8fxp6m45jwdn9pmfs53q0yrjjm Bored Satoshi Yes. It is a problem. The notion in the Bitcoin land is that people should HODL bitcoin. Never spend it. If everyone holds bitcoin, who's transacting? Even then fees were $5-$10 before the oridinals craze. Now I have traveled around some third world countries in Asia, South America, Africa and even Eastern Europe. Let me tell you, no one is using the main Bitcoin network for day to day transactions. $5 per transaction is absurd. They are using centralized solutions. Only people from the first world countries were using Bitcoin to transact. Lightning does not scale as well, we all know it. We need better solutions. Keeping the fees down socially by shunning the gamblers is not the solution and infact is a problem as miners will slowly move on. Bitcoin was built on economic incentives, not social. npub1hv64t0jlg94p0tpq6zc8mrc5kyfhzwwn8fxp6m45jwdn9pmfs53q0yrjjm Bored Satoshi I don't see that happening. Unless the seller auctions off the tokens. Since runes are fungible tokens, there will always be other people selling you those tokens without the fee spike. npub1hv64t0jlg94p0tpq6zc8mrc5kyfhzwwn8fxp6m45jwdn9pmfs53q0yrjjm Bored Satoshi What values do you hold dearest that we can debate on? npub1hv64t0jlg94p0tpq6zc8mrc5kyfhzwwn8fxp6m45jwdn9pmfs53q0yrjjm Bored Satoshi Yes. It was a hypothetical argument from them. Not me. npub1hv64t0jlg94p0tpq6zc8mrc5kyfhzwwn8fxp6m45jwdn9pmfs53q0yrjjm Bored Satoshi I explained a bit about this here. Yes there will be MEV on Bitcoin. Mining pools will accept tips to have your transaction go through vs others. But wasn't it possible before this as well? Say I want to buy a $1B worth of Oil using Bitcoin. The king of UAE says the first Bitcoin transaction to hit his wallet will get the oil. Others will be refunded. If you wanted that oil, you would be willing to pay millions to the mining pools to land your transaction first. Isn't that MEV? Monotonous, anonymous transactions might not lead to MEV on Bitcoin but Bitcoin is a public chain with many known entities. It will lead to MEV one way or the other. #nevent1q…c288 npub1hv64t0jlg94p0tpq6zc8mrc5kyfhzwwn8fxp6m45jwdn9pmfs53q0yrjjm Bored Satoshi I watched the video but it just says you can make changes to the Bitcoin protocol to fight against a nation state attacking the network with 51% of ASICs. How is this a solution? What is that change? npub1hv64t0jlg94p0tpq6zc8mrc5kyfhzwwn8fxp6m45jwdn9pmfs53q0yrjjm Bored Satoshi Bitcoin has very limited blockspace. It is not meant for people transferring 100s of $. It's meant for much larger transactions. The only way you'll transact on Bitcoin is if the value you get out of this transaction is worth more than the fees you're paying. So when the Bitcoin network is used to buy 100 BTC worth of Oil from the UAE, they do not care/about the $100 transaction fees. 1. We need transactions to generate enough revenue for the miners. (Pls tell me if you disagree on this). Else, miners cannot be profitable and will move on to doing other things. Then Bitcoin mining will become a lot cheaper and the price will spiral down with many 51% attacks. 2. There isn't enough demand for the blockspace by pure transactors alone right now. But there is demand for other speculative assets that are put on Bitcoin. Thus, there are more transactions happening right now to create and buy these useless things. a good thing. 3. Anything can be bought and sold using bitcoin. It is similar to buying and selling drugs using Bitcoin, are we against it? Are we against Russians using Bitcoin? No. Why are you against people gambling on Bitcoin? It is a free network. 4. Gambling is not Bitcoin's problem to solve. Trading these useless things is a zero-sum game. People will most likely lose their bitcoins. It needs to be solved by us as a community. We should be against gambling on any chain. 5. With these things in mind, we should things that are valuable enough to justify $1000 transactions. Whether it is an L2 block that amortizes transaction fees among a lot of people and settles on Bitcoin or someone that wants to put an image on Bitcoin for history to remember. It should be allowed. To your point, we shouldnt keep the fees low because we want people from third world countries to transact on Bitcoin. We should scale Bitcoin to accommodate all of their transactions. Scaling is done by building L2s that are more valuable than trading runes or ordinals. So the value you generate by enabling thousands of people to use Bitcoin will be greater than the mere $500 transaction fees. npub1hv64t0jlg94p0tpq6zc8mrc5kyfhzwwn8fxp6m45jwdn9pmfs53q0yrjjm Bored Satoshi If power becomes cheaper, its cheaper for you and for the attacker. How will that mitigate the 51% attack? npub1hv64t0jlg94p0tpq6zc8mrc5kyfhzwwn8fxp6m45jwdn9pmfs53q0yrjjm Bored Satoshi Shitcoining using Ordinals, runes, etc., isn't the best. But we are yet to find better solutions than gambling. We will find better solutions. L2 scaling is for sure the way to go but this is the path we have to take. Shitcoining on Bitcoin could be a fad that dies but the Bitcoin blockspace utilization will not die. Non-gamblers will only open their wallets if they find something more valuable than the bitcoin they hold. We will find those usecases. npub1hv64t0jlg94p0tpq6zc8mrc5kyfhzwwn8fxp6m45jwdn9pmfs53q0yrjjm Bored Satoshi Its true. Miners need enough revenue to keep competing and keep the difficulty high. With every halving, miners revenue is cut in half. Bitcoin price will keep going up, you can say, but USD is a shitcoin, if we don't generate enough BITCOIN revenue for the miners, the hashrate will keep falling and we will be more and more vulnerable to nation state attacks. npub1hv64t0jlg94p0tpq6zc8mrc5kyfhzwwn8fxp6m45jwdn9pmfs53q0yrjjm Bored Satoshi Nostr is THE place to have this discussion. Even if relays that disagree with us censor us, we can have our own relays to keep talking about our values. npub1hv64t0jlg94p0tpq6zc8mrc5kyfhzwwn8fxp6m45jwdn9pmfs53q0yrjjm Bored Satoshi Everyone wants Bitcoin to succeed and save us from the fiat hell. They just disagree on how. I feel some discomfort saying this out loud in here. But I want to stand up beside my tribe to fight the dominant tribe that disagrees with us. "Runes, Ordinals, L2s, transactions all create demand for the Bitcoin blockspace and we should welcome them instead of shunning them. " If you can convince me otherwise, I am willing to join your tribe. No one has ever told me good things about mastodon. I don't know why I should check it out. Maybe to learn a few things we can take inspiration from for Nostr. npub1hv64t0jlg94p0tpq6zc8mrc5kyfhzwwn8fxp6m45jwdn9pmfs53q0yrjjm Bored Satoshi Yes npub1hv64t0jlg94p0tpq6zc8mrc5kyfhzwwn8fxp6m45jwdn9pmfs53q0yrjjm Bored Satoshi We should work towards it. Its not the perfect system but with enough iterations and open innovations, we will have a good system. npub1hv64t0jlg94p0tpq6zc8mrc5kyfhzwwn8fxp6m45jwdn9pmfs53q0yrjjm Bored Satoshi I have a few ideas for automated moderation but they are too complex. Vanilla moderation of certain topics will lead to the problems faced by reddit communities today. A community is basically subject to the biases of the moderators. So if we have Nostr as a topic and the moderators believe in the concept of "grant based funding", what if they filter out all the notes that suggest venture funding? npub1hv64t0jlg94p0tpq6zc8mrc5kyfhzwwn8fxp6m45jwdn9pmfs53q0yrjjm Bored Satoshi I would love to see this happen. @npub12zq…99h8 as well I'm sure. npub1hv64t0jlg94p0tpq6zc8mrc5kyfhzwwn8fxp6m45jwdn9pmfs53q0yrjjm Bored Satoshi Topics based posting with self/client side moderation. npub1hv64t0jlg94p0tpq6zc8mrc5kyfhzwwn8fxp6m45jwdn9pmfs53q0yrjjm Bored Satoshi Would be cool if the bot linked sources of those quotes below. npub1hv64t0jlg94p0tpq6zc8mrc5kyfhzwwn8fxp6m45jwdn9pmfs53q0yrjjm Bored Satoshi Ahahaha.
