I haven't read through the thread yet, but the importance of getting actual borosilicate glass cannot be overstressed.
However, I'm not sure that depending on the branding printed on the product will continue to be reliable.
I'm going to read through this thread now, as see if anyone has mentioned videos explaining and demonstrating how to test the glass yourself, something to do with refraction something something. Also, it has to be the right color.

I'm divided on the issue of area bombing to begin with. Once that Rubicon had been crossed, whether or not the weapon used was an atomic bomb was and is completely irrelevant to the morality of the choice to strike
Two atomic strikes in rapid succession was the perfect balance.

they had many, many targets, but most of them had already been completely obliterated by firebombing already.
the criteria for selection of targets for the atomic bomb were that the city had not been touched by bombing previously. Also, good weather. So, the target wasn't selected with 100% certainty until the B-29 "weather ships", which were sent in advance of the actual strike package, had given the go-ahead.

what happened was that I quoted eriner's post, but for some reason there's just a bug where someone else's nick is included as a mention in the text edit box.
I've seen it happen a couple of times before. If I remember correctly, it had been Djeep at least once before as well.
It's just that I had taken the trouble to remove the "mystery mention" from the post before hitting submit. This time I didn't, because I wanted to draw attention to the problem.

I have no idea what the fuck is going on, only that I haven't seen it until today.
I have seen plenty of posts for which "quote" capability was entirely disabled.
But today is the first time I've seen the "waiting for approval" thing. I think I saw three different instances of it today.
It pretty much renders the "quote" functionality useless, since nobody can see what you're boosting/posting until it gets "approved".
