If Nostr takes off and my mum starts using it, Bitcoin chat will certainly become more esoteric. Communities will form.
However Pub/priv key cryptography is an element shared by Bitcoin and Nostr. Accepting Nostr as a suitable social media platform requires a similar mindset required for accepting Bitcoin as a suitable currency.
