I haven't felt anything down here, but I'm wondering if my cats sensed something with the bigger one this morning because they both jumped up from their sleep positions at the same time shortly after 8am.

My experience in the gym on Sunday was an older unmasked woman liberally spraying down the bike next to me & wiping it down while saying to me "I don't want to get COVID". I was masked, & simply said to her that COVID is airborne. She ignored me.

Wool is actually a pretty good choice for heat. Sounds counterintuitive, but it has to do with airflow & the fibers. My wool shirts for hiking are cooler than any synthetic in the heat, with the added bonus that they don't stink like synthetic. (Which, after a 5 day backpack, is a really good thing.)

We're at 92° up here, majority of us without A/C. 😐
Portland hit 100°, more people have A/C in that metro area. Ready to go back to our usual.

Friends left Glovers Reef in Belize early to avoid a last-minute scramble to evacuate. Lots of families I know from up here were headed down to Mexico or the Caribbean as soon as school was out (which for us was last Wednesday). Wonder what they'll do now.

When we cleared out my dad's house, he had a fully functional 8 track player & about 30 tapes, a few unopened. Some collector paid about $250 for all of them.
