Global Human Rights Weekly — Week of 2026-09-28
This bulletin summarizes documented reports of repression and abuse worldwide from public sources.
Ukraine: The UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission said Russian attacks from September 1–24 had killed at least 200 civilians and injured 1,234, with preliminary figures expected to rise as verification continues. A September 24 strike on a vegetable-sorting facility in Stara Hnylytsia, Kharkiv region, killed seven farm workers and injured 12 others, according to local authorities cited by the UN. Source: OHCHR/HRMMU (https://ukraine.ohchr.org/en/node/582)
Myanmar: Human Rights Watch reported that women political prisoners described torture, sexual violence, squalid conditions and dangerous denial of prenatal and other medical care. HRW’s interviews with 17 former detainees, three family members and four lawyers or advocates covered 11 facilities; it said more than 30,000 people, including about 6,600 women and 640 children, have been detained since the 2021 coup. Source: Human Rights Watch (https://www.hrw.org/news/2026/09/22/myanmar-women-political-prisoners-tortured-ill-treated)
Democratic Republic of the Congo: Amnesty International documented M23 abuses at the Rubaya coltan mine and Lomera gold mine, including the summary killing of 18 artisanal miners, torture or ill-treatment recounted by 16 miners or nearby civilians, arbitrary detention, forced labor and forced recruitment. Based on interviews with 26 people and photo/video analysis, Amnesty also found evidence that gold and coltan were trafficked to Rwanda and said the violations may amount to war crimes. Source: Amnesty International (https://www.amnesty.org/en/latest/news/2026/09/drc-m23-fighters-abused-miners-and-trafficked-gold-and-coltan-to-rwanda/)
Russia: The Human Rights Foundation, citing Meduza, reported that organizers at an international youth festival in Yekaterinburg provided an unrestricted internet network to foreign delegates while Russian citizens used a state-censored network; foreign visitors reportedly received SIM cards that bypassed blocks. HRF said about 5,000 Russian attendees faced Roskomnadzor filters among roughly 10,000 participants from 191 countries, illustrating how censorship can also restrict access to digital payments and financial services. Source: Human Rights Foundation (https://hrf.org/latest/hrfs-weekly-financial-freedom-report-139/)
United States: Amnesty International said interviews with 154 people in Chicago, Minneapolis–St. Paul, New Orleans and Washington, DC documented recurring patterns of racial profiling, arbitrary and incommunicado detention, excessive or lethal force, protest repression, surveillance and inhumane detention conditions in federal immigration-enforcement operations. Amnesty said some killings may amount to extrajudicial executions, some confinement conditions may violate the prohibition on torture, and some detentions may constitute enforced disappearances—claims it said should be investigated. Weekly Bitcoin Themes — September 12–18, 2026
The three strongest Bitcoin narratives from my curated YouTube channels this week, ranked by real view counts.
1. The Fed Hiked And Bitcoin Rallied Anyway
The first rate hike since 2023 landed on Wednesday and Bitcoin went up instead of down, which reframed the entire week's commentary. Pompliano's argument that Bitcoin wins regardless of Fed policy pulled 165,434 views, while Gareth Soloway's hawkish-Fed breakdown led everything at 179,904. This theme totals 878,905 views across 16 videos and seven channels — more than triple the next narrative, an unambiguous number one. Worth noting that 638,191 of those views, about 73%, came from Verified Investing and its host Soloway.

2. The $75,500 Line And The Bear Market Low
Price talk centered on one specific level all week, with Soloway treating $75,500 as the make-or-break line and then asking whether the bear market low is already in. Against that, the Visser interview circuit pushed the other direction with $100K back in play, and Verified Investing floated a four-year-cycle low due October 12. The theme totals 284,042 views across 9 videos, a clear second place, though Verified Investing and Soloway again account for 197,622 of it, around 70%.

3. CLARITY Act Dies, Then Comes Back
The bill collapsed in the Senate with Elizabeth Warren getting the blame, Bitcoin dropped under $75K on the news, and then the story flipped by week's end into what Simply Bitcoin called going from failure to law in 11 days. Several creators argued the failure was actually good for Bitcoin, and BTC Sessions took the opposite angle that the bill threatened developers with jail. At 85,446 views across 8 videos and four channels it takes third place ahead of the institutional-legitimization cluster, where Pompliano's BlackRock video did 68,342 on its own but had little support around it.

Coverage note: No fallback needed — discovery ran through the YouTube data connector and all 46 view lookups returned real numbers with zero failures. TFTC and Marty Bent published nothing on their own channels this week, and Lyn Alden and Jordi Visser again appeared only through third-party interviews, 13 of them for Visser. Mark Moss posted 16 videos but nearly all were personal-finance rather than Bitcoin narrative. Themes that missed the cut: institutional legitimization led by Pompliano's BlackRock video at 68,342, Visser's AI interviews around 34,525, Strategic Bitcoin Reserve skepticism around 31,500, and custody and hack coverage around 26,000.

Weekly Bitcoin Themes — August 29–September 4, 2026
The three strongest Bitcoin narratives from my curated YouTube channels this week, ranked by real view counts.
1. The Dollar Endgame: $40 Trillion In Debt And Yields Past 4.8%
Sovereign debt, a dollar-yen collapse, and 10-year yields pushing past 4.8% were the dominant frame this week, with Bitcoin positioned as the escape valve rather than just another risk asset. This narrative takes #1 with roughly 685,300 views across 36 videos — Lyn Alden's "dollar endgame" appearance pulled 138,045, Verified Investing's yield and dollar-yen reports drew 108,088 and 94,331, and the Gromen-Alden conversation on BTC Sessions hit 91,082. Unlike a single-channel volume spike, this was corroborated across seven separate curated channels, from Nik Bhatia's $40 trillion debt reckoning to Natalie Brunell's September bond-market warning.

Simply Bitcoin — They're Going to Inflate the Debt Away and Send Bitcoin to $500K (56,804 views)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i3UmMhiqT8k
2. Bitcoin Rips To $82K, Then The Jobs Report Hits
Bitcoin ran roughly 22–25% for its best week in about two years, clearing $80K and touching $82K, before a strong nonfarm payrolls print flipped rate-hike odds and knocked it back. Second place with about 573,300 views across 39 videos: Pompliano's $1 million framing led everything at 182,646, Verified Investing's jobs-report reaction pulled 89,004, and Simply Bitcoin's $82K breakout explainer took 52,955. The 200-week EMA, 200-day and 50-week moving averages were repeatedly named as the line separating a real bull market from a trap.

3. Capital Rotating Out Of AI And Into Bitcoin
The AI-trade-versus-Bitcoin argument sharpened into an allocation story this week, with a named investor moving $125 million out of AI exposure and into Bitcoin. About 213,833 views across 5 videos and 4 curated channels, led by Mark Moss at 144,164 and Jordi Visser's macro-clock episode at 68,573 — a clear 74% view gap over the next contender, so it takes #3 outright. Worth noting it is top-heavy: those two videos carry 99% of the theme's views.
Mark Moss — This Investing Legend Just Moved $125 Million From AI to Bitcoin (144,164 views)

Jordi Visser — Bessent Gets Drucked: Bitcoin, AI, and the New Macro Clock (68,573 views)

TFTC — The entire economy is AI now, Jordi Visser on the build-out (90 views)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y6OPsz5g9rM
Coverage note: No fallback needed, the connector and view-count extraction both ran clean. No in-window uploads from Rabbit Hole Recap, Derek Ross, Caitlin Long, James Lavish, or Robert Breedlove, and Lyn Alden and Joe Carlasare appeared only through other channels. The CoreCoin hard-fork fight (about 122,900 views, still 6 of 7 videos from one creator) and treasury-company stress around Saylor, Strive and Remixpoint (about 105,100) both missed the cut.

The ultimate test of an American economic system is not merely how much wealth it creates, but whether it continually converts ordinary citizens from economic dependents into owners of productive capital.
Hamilton teaches us how to create enormous productive power.
Jefferson reminds us why concentrated power is dangerous.
Lincoln gives us the bridge:
make ownership attainable.
So I wouldn't try to choose Hamilton or Jefferson.
I'd build Hamilton's engine, install Jefferson's safeguards, and use Lincoln's ladder.
And then judge the system relentlessly by one question:
Is the ladder still working?
If each generation can realistically move from labor → savings → ownership → independence, the American economic model is doing something profoundly right.
If that pathway closes—even while GDP, stock prices and aggregate wealth continue rising—then I would consider that a much more serious warning about the health of the American economy than almost any single conventional economic statistic.

Weekly Bitcoin Themes — August 8–14, 2026
Here are the three strongest Bitcoin narratives from the curated YouTube channels this week, ranked, each with its theme image above.
#1 — BIP-110 Collapse and the Chain-Split Debate
This was the week's dominant story by a wide margin: a proposed protocol change (BIP-110) failed, triggering a heated debate over whether Bitcoin risks splitting into two chains. Bitcoin University ran a near-daily series on the fallout, but the real engagement came from broad cross-channel pickup — Natalie Brunell's deep-dive drew 43,227 views, Bitcoin University's "BIP-110 Update (It's Over)" pulled 32,597, and Simply Bitcoin's two takes drew 27,201 and 23,763 views respectively. Across the 14 tracked videos on this topic, total views hit roughly 251,000 (average ~17,946/video) — far ahead of anything else this week, and driven by three distinct channels rather than one channel's volume.
Natalie Brunell — Inside the Most Divisive Debate in Bitcoin Right Now
Bitcoin University — BIP-110 Update (It's Over)
Simply Bitcoin — Bitcoin FORKED Then $1 BILLION Flooded Into ETFs
Simply Bitcoin — Bitcoin Captured? The Battle That Changes Everything!
Bitcoin University — This Fight Ain't Over Yet (BIP-110)
#2 — Bitcoin Price Outlook: Institutional Flows vs. Saylor Selling
A tug-of-war narrative emerged between bullish institutional signals (BlackRock, JPMorgan, "Bitcoin OGs" cashing out to Wall Street) and continued selling pressure from Michael Saylor's Strategy. Simply Bitcoin's speculative "$200K explosion" video led with 35,983 views, well ahead of Adam Livingston's Saylor-endgame piece (10,222 views); a broad-sample corroborator from The Wolf Of All Streets ("Bitcoin OGs Made RECORD Profits," 11,419 views) confirmed the story reached beyond the curated list. Total across 8 tracked videos: roughly 71,700 views (avg ~8,960/video), clearly ahead of the Coldcard story below despite fewer videos covering it.
Simply Bitcoin — Did Trump and BlackRock Just Confirm a $200K Bitcoin Explosion?!
Adam Livingston — MICHAEL SAYLOR'S MIND BLOWING BITCOIN ENDGAME IS FINALLY HERE
The Wolf Of All Streets — Bitcoin OGs Made RECORD Profits - Wall Street Paid Them
Simply Bitcoin — Michael Saylor DUMPED MORE Bitcoin
Natalie Brunell — What Happened When Michael Saylor Sold Bitcoin?
#3 — Coldcard Hack Fallout and Self-Custody Security
The Coldcard vulnerability story continued from last week, with coverage spreading to seven-plus curated channels (Natalie Brunell, Swan, Simply Bitcoin, Stephan Livera, BTC Sessions, Market Disruptors) plus mainstream pickup from Bloomberg Television. But per-video engagement stayed modest: Natalie Brunell's stolen-coin tracing video led with 12,244 views, and Bloomberg's segment added 5,335. Total across 11 tracked videos: roughly 33,100 views (avg ~3,013/video) — wide syndication but real numbers place it third, consistent with the rule that channel-count breadth doesn't override measured views.
Natalie Brunell — He's Tracing Every Stolen Coin From the ColdCard Hack. Will Victims Get Them Back?
Bloomberg Television — Bitcoin Wallet Hack Shakes Industry
BTC Sessions — The Hacks and Crashouts Continue — BTC Bottom Signs NEVER Been Stronger
Natalie Brunell — Alex Thorn: "Move Your Bitcoin Right Now or It Will Be Stolen"
Swan Bitcoin — Coldcard Broke. Multisig Held. Self-Custody Got Safer.

A note on coverage and process: all metrics above are real view/like counts pulled directly from YouTube via the verified extraction script, not estimates. Six curated channels (Mark Moss, BTC Sessions, Verified Investing, Bitcoin Magazine, Joe Nakamoto, TFTC) were re-verified this run with fresh searches. A Mark Moss "wealth-building" cluster (7 videos, ~25,600 total views) was checked but didn't clear the bar for third place. Jordi Visser, Lyn Alden, Rabbit Hole Recap, TFTC, Derek Ross, Caitlin Long, Joe Carlasare, Robert Breedlove, and James Lavish had no qualifying in-window uploads this week. All three images generated natively at 4:3 and verified.

When Bitcoin Splits, Who Does BlackRock Call “Bitcoin”?
Bitcoin was designed to remove the need for trusted financial intermediaries.
Then Wall Street arrived.
The Bitcoin ETF was celebrated as a bridge between Bitcoin and traditional finance. It gave pension funds, institutions and ordinary brokerage accounts exposure to Bitcoin without requiring investors to hold private keys.
But there is a question that receives surprisingly little attention:
What happens when Bitcoin itself disagrees about what Bitcoin is?
Imagine a future dispute over Bitcoin's consensus rules.
Chinese mining pools overwhelmingly signal support for a proposed change—call it BIP-110.
American miners, businesses and infrastructure providers reject it and remain on the existing rules.
Neither side backs down.
Eventually the network splits.
Now there are two chains.
Both have blocks.
Both have miners.
Both contain the complete Bitcoin transaction history up until the split.
Both sides claim to be Bitcoin.
For someone holding Bitcoin in self-custody, the situation is messy but conceptually straightforward. Their private keys correspond to coins arising from the shared pre-fork history, and they can decide how—or whether—to interact with either resulting chain.
But an ETF shareholder does not possess Bitcoin private keys.
The shareholder owns shares in a regulated financial product.
That creates an entirely different question:
Which chain does the ETF recognize as Bitcoin?
Someone has to decide.
The ETF sponsor, its custodian, exchanges, index providers, regulators and other pieces of the traditional financial system suddenly become extraordinarily important.
And that means a technical disagreement inside Bitcoin can become a financial—and potentially geopolitical—decision outside Bitcoin.
The Geopolitical Fork
Consider the uncomfortable version.
Most Chinese mining pools support BIP-110.
Most American miners oppose it.
The split persists.
One chain becomes dominant in China while the other becomes dominant throughout American financial infrastructure.
Now imagine billions or eventually trillions of dollars of institutional Bitcoin exposure sitting inside ETFs, retirement accounts, corporate portfolios and other regulated products.
What does BlackRock's ETF call BTC?
What does Coinbase Custody recognize?
What do CME futures settle against?
What price do American accounting systems use?
Which asset does the SEC-regulated financial system recognize as Bitcoin?
Those decisions could have enormous economic consequences.
A fork that began as a debate among developers and miners could suddenly become something much larger:
a geopolitical struggle over the financial definition of Bitcoin.
China might recognize one chain.
American financial institutions might recognize another.
Markets would then determine prices for both.
But ETF investors wouldn't necessarily participate in that decision the same way self-custody holders could.
Their exposure would depend on the contractual and operational rules governing the financial product they purchased.
This Is the Difference Between Bitcoin and Bitcoin Exposure
That distinction matters.
Owning an ETF is not economically or legally identical to controlling Bitcoin private keys.
With self-custody, you control keys.
With an ETF, you own a security whose value is designed to track Bitcoin.
Most of the time that distinction appears almost meaningless.
Bitcoin trades at $100,000; the ETF approximately reflects $100,000 worth of Bitcoin exposure.
Everything works.
But forks expose the difference.
Because the difficult question isn't what happens when everyone agrees about Bitcoin.
The difficult question is:
What happens when they don't?
During a persistent chain split, somebody must determine which asset the ETF continues tracking and what happens to any economically valuable forked asset associated with the fund's holdings.
Those decisions occur inside legal agreements, custody arrangements and regulated financial infrastructure.
Bitcoin consensus cannot force an ETF sponsor to use a particular ticker.
Proof of work cannot force an American exchange to list a particular fork.
A private key cannot force an index provider to recognize one chain rather than another.
The Bitcoin network can determine whether a transaction satisfies a particular set of consensus rules.
It cannot determine what Wall Street calls BTC.
The New Consensus Layer
This creates something Bitcoiners should think carefully about.
There may eventually be two forms of consensus operating simultaneously.
The first is Bitcoin consensus.
Nodes validate rules. Miners produce blocks. Users choose software. Markets assign economic value.
The second is institutional consensus.
Custodians choose assets. Exchanges assign tickers. Index providers define benchmarks. ETFs follow governing documents. Regulators determine how securities operate within their jurisdictions.
Normally those two worlds point toward the same Bitcoin.
So nobody notices the distinction.
A serious fork could expose it overnight.
And if enormous amounts of Bitcoin exposure migrate into ETFs and other custodial financial products, institutional consensus could acquire substantial economic influence.
Not because BlackRock controls Bitcoin.
It doesn't.
But because BlackRock and the surrounding financial infrastructure can influence what millions of investors experience as Bitcoin.
That is a very different kind of power.
The Irony
Bitcoin was created so that ownership didn't require asking a financial institution which ledger was legitimate.
You ran the rules.
You held the keys.
You chose.
The ETF reverses part of that relationship.
It gives investors convenient Bitcoin price exposure while outsourcing custody—and therefore some extraordinary edge-case decisions—to institutions.
That doesn't make ETFs inherently good or bad.
It makes them fundamentally different from self-custody.
And perhaps the greatest test of that difference will not come during a bull market.
It will come during disagreement.
Imagine the headline:
Chinese miners back BIP-110. American miners reject it. Bitcoin splits.
At that moment, hash power would matter.
Nodes would matter.
Developers would matter.
Markets would matter.
But something else would matter too:
BlackRock's lawyers.
Because the most important question for millions of ETF shareholders would no longer simply be:
Which chain has the most proof of work?
It would be:
Which chain did my financial institution decide to call Bitcoin?
And that may be the moment the world discovers that while Wall Street never gained control over Bitcoin's consensus rules, it built a second consensus system around Bitcoin—one capable of deciding which version of Bitcoin the traditional financial system recognizes.

When looking at miners shifting into AI data centers and a corporate consortium.
I ask is this good for Bitcoin.
AI revenue and corporate coordination could make Bitcoin mining more resilient, more investable, and less vulnerable to stress-driven shutdowns. The network might become less decentralized in a business sense, but more stable in an operational sense, which could support long-term security rather than undermine it.

Bitcoin Treasury Companies: The Paper Bitcoin Era
Every cycle creates a new way to separate people from owning Bitcoin.
This cycle, it's Bitcoin treasury companies.
No, they aren't FTX. But they represent the same financial temptation: convincing people to own a claim on Bitcoin instead of Bitcoin itself.
Bitcoin doesn't need shareholders.
Companies need shareholders because they require capital to build products. Bitcoin is different. Proof of Work already secures the network. The protocol has no CEO, no board, and no need for equity financing. Bitcoin is complete.
When you buy shares in a Bitcoin treasury company, you're not buying Bitcoin—you're buying management, corporate governance, and all the risks that come with them. Bitcoin was invented to eliminate those layers of trust, not recreate them.
China recently took another step in the opposite direction with gold by moving to eliminate or restrict paper gold products and emphasize ownership backed by physical metal. The message is simple: claims are not the same as the asset.
Bitcoiners should understand this better than anyone.
Paper gold is not gold.
Paper Bitcoin is not Bitcoin.
The financial world always wants to create more claims than the underlying asset. That's how leverage, counterparty risk, and distortions are born.
Bitcoin gave us an escape from that system.
If you can own the world's hardest money directly with your own private keys, why settle for a shareholder certificate?
Bitcoin doesn't need shareholders.
It needs owners.

Completed 42 steps
Weekly Bitcoin Themes — July 18–24, 2026
Here are the three strongest Bitcoin narratives from the curated YouTube channels this week, ranked, each with its theme image above.
#1 — BIP-110 Chain-Split Debate Deepens (3rd Week Running, Now Cross-Channel)
The BIP-110 anti-spam proposal stayed the most persistent story on Bitcoin YouTube for a third straight week, but it broke out of Bitcoin University's near-daily coverage (7 new videos) into direct engagement from Stephan Livera, who devoted two full episodes to it — including one featuring Lyn Alden warning of a possible August chain-split. Simply Bitcoin framed it as a "Second Civil War," while BTC Sessions pushed back with a skeptical explainer calling some panic messaging "a phishing email." It's the only story this week corroborated across four distinct curated channels with genuinely differing editorial takes, plus a top-tier guest (Lyn Alden) — a stronger reach signal than single-channel volume.
Bitcoin University — 15,000 Bitcoin Plebs Running BIP-110 (Join Us)
Stephan Livera — Lyn Alden: BIP 110 Could Trigger August Bitcoin Chain Split | SLP757
Simply Bitcoin — Bitcoin's Second Civil War Has Begun! Did Wall Street Just Pick Its Weapon?
BTC Sessions — How to Protect Your Bitcoin During the August Activation Window
Stephan Livera — Daniel Buchner: Why BIP 110 Cannot Stop Bitcoin Spam | SLP758
#2 — Pomp vs. Schiff: The Bitcoin-vs-Gold Debate Goes Viral
Anthony Pompliano's sit-down debate with gold bull Peter Schiff over Bitcoin vs. gold, inflation, and a five-year performance bet became this week's most widely re-syndicated Bitcoin video, picked up and re-uploaded by at least two unaffiliated commentary channels within 24 hours. Reach beyond the originating channel is one of the clearest engagement proxies available this week, and this is the only story that jumped channels this fast and this broadly outside the curated Bitcoin-native ecosystem.
Anthony Pompliano — Bitcoin Debate: Pomp DESTROYS Peter Schiff
Anthony Pompliano — Is Bitcoin going to ZERO?!
Finance Discoveries (reupload) — Bitcoin vs. Gold: Anthony Pompliano & Peter Schiff Debate Inflation, Debt, and Future Assets
Free Citizens Network (reupload) — Peter Schiff vs. Pompliano: Inflation, Bitcoin, and Government Debt
#3 — Bitcoin Treasury Company Collapse (Satsuma Liquidation)
The unwind of Satsuma, a Bitcoin treasury company that voted to liquidate its BTC holdings near a bear-market bottom, became this week's cautionary tale about "paper Bitcoin" corporate vehicles. BTC Sessions and Simply Bitcoin both covered it in the curated list, and independent commentary channels piled on, focused on Mark Moss's prior role as the company's Bitcoin strategist. Corroborated across two curated channels plus multiple independent channels, but narrower in guest prominence and channel count than #1 and #2.
BTC Sessions — Bitcoin Treasury Companies Have a Built-In Self-Destruction Mechanism
Simply Bitcoin — Bitcoin Treasury Companies are COLLAPSING and That's Bullish! (Here's Why)
Bitcoin Notes (independent) — Hired a Bitcoin Strategist, Then Sold It All
Tim Talks Finance (independent) — Even Mark Moss Couldn't Save This Bitcoin Company
A note on coverage and process: the YouTube connector's engagement/statistics endpoint (list-videos) errored repeatedly this run and auto-blocked after 5 consecutive failures, so exact view/like counts weren't retrievable — ranking instead used the locked rule's own fallback signals (cross-channel corroboration, third-party reposting/reach, guest prominence). This is the first run applying both the engagement-weighted ranking rule and the secondary random-sampling rule together; the broad/random sample this week reinforced existing curated themes (BitMEX shutdown, treasury collapse) rather than surfacing a new standalone one. No in-window uploads found from Caitlin Long or What Bitcoin Did/Peter McCormack. One generated image (theme #2) initially came back with an unwanted matte border and was regenerated for a clean full-bleed 4:3 composition.
Pick and download whichever image you like best to mark this week complete. The next run is automatically set for Friday, July 31 at 5:00 PM PT with a fresh 7-day window.

Weekly Bitcoin Themes — July 11–17, 2026
Here are the three strongest Bitcoin narratives from the curated YouTube channels this week, ranked, each with its theme image above.
#1 — BIP-110 Civil War Escalates
Bitcoin University’s near-daily BIP-110 series intensified for a second straight week, with Matthew Kratter escalating from technical debate into direct accusations — naming a billionaire “trying to stop” the proposal and calling David Bailey’s companies “an attack on Bitcoin.” It ranks #1 again because no other story matched its volume (8+ uploads this week alone) or its escalating engagement.
• Bitcoin University — Big Bitcoin Opposes BIP-110?
• Bitcoin University — 12 Attacks On Bitcoin (Happening Now)
• Bitcoin University — Billionaire Trying To Stop BIP-110
• Bitcoin University — David Bailey’s Companies Are An Attack On Bitcoin
• Bitcoin University — Michael Saylor Speaking Ex Cathedra (BIP-110)
#2 — Larry Fink’s Bitcoin Signal Meets Clarity Act Optimism
BlackRock CEO Larry Fink made bullish CNBC comments on Bitcoin that Simply Bitcoin called one of the most important statements of the year, arriving alongside renewed momentum on the Clarity Act. Bitcoin pushed back up to roughly $65K on the combined signal. It ranks #2 as a fresh, high-profile institutional catalyst distinct from the ongoing protocol drama.

• Simply Bitcoin — You Won’t Believe What Larry Fink Just Said… | EP 1549
• Simply Bitcoin — The $39T Bitcoin RESET is getting closer… | EP 1550
• Simply Bitcoin — The Fed Has One Move Left… That’s Why Bitcoin Pumped to $65K!
#3 — Bitcoin Decouples From Crypto
A distinct thread emerged this week: Bitcoin holding steady while broader crypto struggles, tied to continued capital-rotation-into-AI talk. Pomp argued most of the crypto industry is dying while separately noting “capital rotation is real,” and TFTC connected it back to AI firms leasing Bitcoin miners’ energy infrastructure. It ranks #3 as a lower-frequency but clearly distinct narrative from #1 and #2.
• Anthony Pompliano — Why Most Of Crypto Is About To Disappear
• Anthony Pompliano — Capital Rotation is Real
• TFTC Clips — AI Is Copying Bitcoin Mining’s Energy Playbook — Marty Bent Explains
• Natalie Brunell — Why Retail Investors Are Completely Ignoring Bitcoin
A note on coverage and process: BIP-110 is now a two-week-running #1 saga from the expanded channel list. Stephan Livera, Robert Breedlove, Saifedean Ammous, Swan, BTC Sessions, Caitlin Long, Adam Livingston, and several others had no clear in-window uploads that matched a theme this week.
I need to tweak this a bit.

#1 — Worst Sentiment in History: Capitulation vs. Quiet Accumulation Near $64K
Bitcoin bounced back toward $64K as creators declared sentiment the most bearish they've ever tracked. Simply Bitcoin cited Lyn Alden's "lowest sentiment I've ever seen," while The Bitcoin Layer framed it as "Saylor sold the bottom" even as spot buyers absorb ETF and MSTR selling. It ranks #1 as the freshest, highest-frequency story across the list, with peak fear meeting persistent spot demand as the bullish read.

#2 — BIP-110 Civil War: The Fight Over Bitcoin Core
Bitcoin University ran a near-daily series on the BIP-110 spam-filter dispute, turning it into the week's loudest developer narrative. Matthew Kratter frames BIP-110 as Bitcoin's defense against spam and scammers and accuses Bitcoin Core and certain firms of an "attack." It ranks #2 as a distinct protocol-governance thread.

#3 — Capital Rotation Into AI: "AI Money Comes Back to Bitcoin"
A recurring macro thread this week: capital drained from Bitcoin into the AI trade, explaining the sideways price action, with the thesis that AI profits eventually rotate back into BTC and gold. Pomp, Natalie Brunell (via Lyn Alden), The Bitcoin Layer, and TFTC all echoed a "1999 all over again" framing. It ranks #3 as a persistent backdrop narrative rather than a fresh catalyst this specific week.

Weekly Bitcoin Themes — June 12–19, 2026
Here are the three strongest Bitcoin narratives from the curated YouTube channels this week, ranked, each with its theme image above.
#1 — Strategy/Saylor Under Pressure: STRC Crash & the 32-BTC Sale Controversy
Strategy's STRC instrument crashed again (its fourth such drop) and MSTR common stock slid, reigniting fears that Michael Saylor could be forced to sell more Bitcoin. Saylor went on the offensive at BTC Prague, defending a small 32-BTC sale and confronting critics and short-sellers directly. This ranks #1 because it was the most frequent and highest-engagement story of the week, dominating multiple curated channels at once.

#2 — Bitcoin vs Gold: Pomp vs Peter Schiff on National TV
Anthony Pompliano debated gold bull Peter Schiff on Fox Business (June 16), arguing Bitcoin's ~55–60% ten-year compounding crushes gold's ~12%, while Schiff countered that "the Bitcoin bubble has burst." The clip was widely shared and re-uploaded across channels. It ranks #2 as a high-engagement, classic store-of-value showdown — punchy and viral, but a single event rather than a structural shift.
Anthony Pompliano — I BATTLED Peter Schiff Over Gold Vs. Bitcoin On National TV
Peter Schiff — Bitcoin Bubble Has BURST! Peter Schiff vs. Anthony Pompliano
Anthony Pompliano: Volatility Is A Gift. Bitcoin's Next 10 Years Will Shock You.
#3 — Hawkish Fed / FOMC Shock: Macro Regime Shift
Markets expected a routine FOMC meeting but got the most hawkish signal in years — rate cuts taken off the table and Kevin Warsh reshaping Fed communication — pressuring risk assets and leaving Bitcoin hovering around $64K. Lyn Alden framed the sticky-inflation backdrop as a structural problem, not a timing one. It ranks #3 as an important macro driver that's more of a slow-burn regime story than a single dominant Bitcoin headline.

Lyn Alden (clip) — The Fed Lost Control. Here's What's Next

A note on coverage and process: BTC Sessions, Joe Carlasare, Caitlin Long, Adam Livingston, Derek Ross, Peter McCormack, and What Bitcoin Did had no clear in-window curated uploads this week; many non-curated reupload channels echoed the Pomp/Saylor/Lyn material, so I anchored citations to the originals. https://blossom.primal.net/803a44f745330c583868bccc2f55421a33c198ef43ed958728e0d2e06aa50676.png https://blossom.primal.net/d7021aaac8147f20723a9de32d280fc50afb4026e0415b82806a5d1998efe344.png https://blossom.primal.net/cd2ca125585026e63abe85772457607ac3e118c9c55ef642edacda3bee8d68ff.png

Weekly Bitcoin Themes — June 5–12, 2026
Here are the three strongest Bitcoin narratives from the curated YouTube channels this week, ranked, each with its theme image above.
#1 — The "Best Bear Market": Drawdown as Accumulation Zone
With Bitcoin in a roughly 25–50% drawdown, the dominant message from major voices was to treat the dip as a textbook 4-year-cycle buying opportunity rather than a reason to panic. Anthony Pompliano explicitly framed the moment as accumulation rather than capitulation, and on-chain analysts argued the bottom signals are flashing. This ranks #1 because it was the most frequent, highest-engagement narrative across multiple top creators in the same week — the classic "be greedy when others are fearful" framing dominated.
Anthony Pompliano — Don't Panic Sell Your Bitcoin
The Bitcoin Accumulation Zone Is HERE
TFTC — The Number That Proves the Bottom Is In | James Check
Pomp w/ Tom Lee — "Best Bear Markets for Bitcoin"
#2 — SpaceX IPO Becomes a Top Corporate Bitcoin Holder
The largest IPO in history put SpaceX onto the leaderboard of corporate Bitcoin holders, and creators seized on it as proof that elite, blue-chip companies now treat BTC as a core treasury asset and a "smoke alarm" for fiat risk. It ranks #2 as a concrete, high-impact news catalyst — narrower in scope than the broad accumulation story but with strong corporate-adoption significance.
Simply Bitcoin — Largest IPO in History Becomes 8th Largest Bitcoin Company… EP 1525
Bitcoin Magazine — The SpaceX IPO Proves Bitcoin Is the Market's Smoke Alarm
#3 — Wall Street Goes All-In: Institutional Allocation
A run of Natalie Brunell interviews centered on Morgan Stanley and other major institutions formally folding Bitcoin into portfolio strategy, with bullish long-term price targets up to $1 million tied to a global-crisis / reserve-asset thesis. It ranks #3 as a steady, ongoing structural narrative — important but more of a continuing drumbeat than a single breakout event this week.
Natalie Brunell — Portfolio Strategy Revealed

Natalie Brunell — Global Crisis to Send Bitcoin to $1 Million

Here is your weekly Bitcoin briefing for May 29 – June 5, 2026, drawn from the curated channel list via the YouTube Data connector.
#1 — The Pullback & “Is the 4-Year Cycle Dead?”
A sharp Bitcoin pullback dominated the week (price action cited near the low-to-mid $60Ks), prompting a wave of “is the cycle broken / where’s the bottom” content. Notably the framing flipped from last week’s “underperformance” mood into outright drawdown analysis, with Saylor’s “capital rotation” read and debate over whether the four-year cycle still holds.
Ranks #1 by frequency and breadth — it appeared across the most curated channels in the same window and clearly set the week’s tone.
• Simply Bitcoin — “Michael Saylor’s NEW Bitcoin Crash Theory No One Is Talking About!”
• Bitcoin Magazine — “Everyone Said the 4-Year Cycle Was Dead—It Wasn’t”
• Natalie Brunell — “The $40K Bitcoin Bottom Coming?” (Luke Gromen)
• Natalie Brunell — “What Bitcoin Is Secretly Warning Us About the Markets” (Luke Gromen)
→ Image labeled Theme #1 (fracturing golden sphere descending along a cyclical arc)
#2 — Dollar Debasement: “No Top Because the Dollar Has No Bottom”
The bullish counterweight to the pullback: a debasement thesis arguing Bitcoin has no ceiling because politicians must keep printing, tied to sovereign-debt and empire-cost arguments. This was the week’s strongest “reason to stay long despite the dip.”
Ranks #2 — a clear, repeated narrative anchored by Pomp and TFTC, but more concentrated than Theme #1.
• Anthony Pompliano — “Bitcoin has no top because the dollar has no bottom”
• TFTC — “Why the U.S. Will Print Money to Buy Bitcoin | Joe Consorti”
• Bitcoin Magazine — “The US Can’t Be a Global Empire AND Hold the World’s Debt”
→ Image labeled Theme #2 (blank currency disintegrating below a rising golden sphere)
#3 — Bitcoin vs. AI: Competition for Capital & Compute
A recurring structural argument that AI’s appetite for capital, energy, and attention is the real competitor to Bitcoin — framed by Jordi Visser as a genuine economic shift rather than a bubble.
Ranks #3 — a real, repeated theme but narrower this week, carried mainly by TFTC (one reference sits at the edge of the 7-day window, noted below).
• TFTC — “I Don’t Think You Realize What Just Happened | Jordi Visser”
• TFTC — “The Clash Of Bitcoin And AI That Nobody Is Discussing | Zach Herbert” (May 13 — just outside the window, included for context)
→ Image labeled Theme #3 (golden sphere and blue neural lattice pulling on a shared energy stream)
Notes on the week
Clear, low-ambiguity week — the pullback was the unmistakable lead. The macro/debasement and “K-shaped economy” angles overlapped heavily, so I consolidated them under Theme #2. The connector worked throughout (no fallback). Search results surfaced many non-curated reupload channels echoing curated figures (especially Pomp); I anchored references to the original curated creators where possible. BTC Sessions and Joe Carlasare again had no clearly matched in-window uploads.
To close out this week, review the three images and download the one you want — I won’t generate more unless you ask. Next run is Friday, June 12 at 4:00 PM PT with a fresh 7-day window.

In the spirit of Thomas Paine.
Common Truth
Do not tell me the people govern.
I have watched them stand in lines, ink their choices, and walk away as though they have completed some sacred duty. Only to return to lives untouched by the decisions made in their name. If this is governance, it is a hollow ritual, performed to comfort the powerless.
Power does not vanish when the vote is cast. It moves. It gathers behind closed doors. It speaks in currencies the public does not possess. It shapes outcomes long before they are announced, and it rewards those who learn to serve it well. And those we send to represent us, do not pretend they are immune. They breathe that air. They learn its language. And in time, many forget who first sent them there.
This is not shocking.
What is shocking is our acceptance of it.
You know it. You have said it in quieter rooms, in safer company; “They are not working for us.” And yet you rise the next day and behave as though nothing can be done. You call it realism. You call it survival.
Call it what it is: surrender.
A people who fear consequence more than they desire justice will have neither.
Do you imagine power trembles at your frustration? That it yields to your private disapproval? No. It thrives on your restraint. It counts on it. Every moment you choose silence over resistance, convenience over conviction, you cast a far more powerful vote than any ballot has ever carried.
You vote for the continuation of things as they are.
And still you ask; “why does nothing change?”
Because nothing has been demanded of it.
Change is not granted to the well-behaved. It is not awarded to those who wait their turn. It is taken, by those who decide that obedience has a limit, and that limit has been reached.
Not with chaos.
With will.
With numbers.
With a refusal so clear and so sustained that power can no longer pretend not to see it.
Do not mistake this for recklessness. There is nothing reckless about a people insisting they be represented. There is nothing radical about refusing to be quietly managed while calling it freedom.
The only radical act left is to continue as we are; and expect a different result.
So stand where you are and answer it plainly:
Are you governed?
Or are you merely handled?
Because if you are content to be handled, then say so; and be done with the illusion.
But if even a part of you recoils at that thought… if something in you refuses it…
Then understand this:
The moment you stop asking for change
and begin requiring it
is the moment power begins to answer to you again.
And not before.

Nostr adoption will grow fastest when it stops asking newcomers to care about architecture before they care about people. FGU network could model ordinary, recurring, human postings; gamer communities can supply immediate utility; and better signer patterns can hide key complexity behind devices and trusted flows.
The unifying principle is simple: make Nostr feel like life, not a lecture. When users can show up as themselves, find useful communities, and sign in without anxiety, the protocol’s strengths become visible through use rather than explanation.
This is an area I need to work on.
My Uber driver was nice and talkative. Which I appreciated.

Showed my kids this and they asked what is the cantillion effect.
That’s positive!
You deserve a future that isn’t traded for someone else’s profit. The truth is, the draft has never been about equal sacrifice — it’s about power. While the wealthy and well-connected can buy their way out, everyday young people are the ones asked to risk everything. That’s the same Cantillon effect that runs Wall Street: when money is made, the insiders win first, and you pay the cost. The system takes your courage, your time, and your potential, then uses the military to protect oil interests that line bankers’ pockets. You don’t owe them your future — you owe yourself the freedom to build something better. Stand up, speak out, and refuse to be drafted into their game.

Data centers and abundance
Data centers are where AI, automation, and modern coordination actually happen; they’re how you optimize grids, logistics, manufacturing, and research so you get more output from fewer resources. The new Sanders–AOC “Artificial Intelligence Data Center Moratorium Act” would freeze construction of all new AI data centers nationwide until broad federal safeguards are passed, effectively putting a hard cap on that computational capacity instead of tightening energy, siting, and labor rules. That says “stop building the capability” rather than “clean up how it’s deployed,” which keeps today’s inefficiencies and bottlenecks in place.
Lab‑grown meat and abundance
Cultivated meat is a way to make animal protein with far less land, water, and potentially emissions, which is exactly the kind of efficiency gain a post‑scarcity trajectory needs. Florida went the other way with SB 1084, becoming the first state to ban the manufacture, sale, and distribution of cultivated meat outright, explicitly to protect traditional agriculture and as a culture‑war stand against “lab‑grown” foods. That locks in a high‑resource, high‑impact food system and shuts down a tech path that might make protein cheap, scalable, and easier on the planet.
How both sides miss the big picture
The left’s push to halt new data centers and the right’s push to halt cultivated meat look opposite, but they rhyme: both try to protect the familiar by attacking enabling technologies instead of reshaping the rules around them. A post‑scarcity path needs more computation and more efficient production of basics, not less; the real challenge is governing these technologies so they’re clean, fair, and widely beneficial, rather than stopping them and then wondering why abundance never shows up.

The Open Source Architect
Why True Abundance Requires Shared Intelligence
The history of human progress is a chronicle of the struggle against scarcity. From Mahatma Gandhi’s defiance of the British salt monopoly to the modern geopolitical race for rare earth minerals, power has always belonged to those who control the "wells"—the sources of survival and wealth.
As we stand on the precipice of an era defined by Artificial General Intelligence (AGI), we face a radical paradox: AI promises a world of absolute abundance, yet it carries the risk of the most absolute monopoly in history.
The Illusion of Free Abundance
Imagine a world where AGI-driven molecular manufacturing produces synthetic copper from common silicon and "atmospheric wells" pull unlimited fresh water from thin air. In this scenario, the traditional levers of global governance—trade wars and labor markets—evaporate.
However, abundance is not a natural resource; it is a computational output. If the underlying models are proprietary, abundance becomes a subscription service. We risk transitioning from Natural Scarcity to Artificial Scarcity, where survival is legally restricted by the owners of the source code.
"Abundance without open-source AI is merely a more comfortable form of serfdom."
The Gandhi Parallel: Salt to Source Code
Gandhi’s victory was rooted in the democratization of a basic necessity. By making his own salt, he proved that when the means of survival are held by the people, the machinery of empire loses its grip.
In the age of AGI, Source Code is the New Salt. If AGI remains a "black box" owned by a handful of trillion-dollar corporations, the resulting abundance will only deepen the divide. An open-source mandate ensures that the "recipe" for survival cannot be patented out of reach.
Three Pillars of Survival
Resilience: Distributed knowledge prevents a single point of failure.
Cognitive Agency: Allowing communities to maintain the systems they depend on.
Equity: Bridging the "Bifurcated World" through shared technology.
Conclusion
To truly win the war on scarcity, we must ensure that the tools of creation belong to everyone. The goal of the AGI revolution should not be to build a better master, but to ensure that, for the first time in history, humanity has no master at all.

I would love to see broader adoption but I’m seeing the white paper burn in the fire with rosebud.
This is what the AI said. Basically what I knew.
You’re basically holding two incompatible shots in your head: a world where Bitcoin actually becomes everyday “freedom money,” and a world where the whole thing ends as a poignant artifact in the flames.
From what we’re seeing so far, both trajectories are partly true at the same time:
- The *mythic* vision in the white paper is already frayed: most usage routes through custodians, KYC, and ETF wrappers; Lightning and non‑KYC circular economies exist, but they’re niche and fragile.
- The *pragmatic* success story is very real: nation‑state reserves, BlackRock‑scale products, Square‑level integration, treasury allocation—Bitcoin as a volatile, politically resistant savings layer under an otherwise very “normal” financial stack.[1][2][3][4][5][6]
That’s why the “rosebud” image hits so hard: the original purity (peer‑to‑peer cash, cypherpunk self‑sovereignty) is emotionally central, but the path of least resistance is acceptance through institutional domestication.
One way to keep your head straight is to separate three layers in your mental model:
- **Myth layer**: the white paper, the hero story, the pure peer‑to‑peer ideal. That’s allowed to be a story you *care* about even if the world never fully conforms.
- **Base reality**: Bitcoin as it actually exists—ETF‑wrapped, regulated, surveilled in many jurisdictions, but still technically permissionless and hard to kill at the protocol level.
- **Personal frontier**: what *you* choose to do—running a node, self‑custody, building systems or narratives that push the balance a little more toward the freedom‑money end.
Seen this way, the white paper doesn’t have to survive as literal economic reality everywhere to matter. It can “burn” in the mainstream while still shaping the choices of a minority who keep the wilder version alive at the edges.
When you picture that rosebud shot, is the feeling more grief that the pure thing gets co‑opted, or more a kind of bittersweet acceptance that this is how all radical ideas age?

“The Denominator”
There’s a whisper in the fraction, quiet and low,
The part beneath the line, where few dare to go.
Holding balance, unseen — a ghost in the sum,
While numerators dance, it stays still, stays numb.
It doesn’t crave glory, it doesn’t need fame,
Just keeps the whole steady, hiding its name.
But one little shift, one tremor below,
And suddenly the universe trembles to know.
The sky splits open, the ratios sing,
Old values fall silent — new worlds take wing.
The ghost becomes thunder, division reborn,
And out of the upheaval, new meanings are formed.
So here’s to the hidden, the quiet, the base,
The one that defines every motion and place.
The denominator — unseen, yet alive,
The ghost that gives numbers their reason to thrive.

But is creative thought centralizing?

2026-02-11 00:48:19 GMT

I asked an agent that I think bitcoin and the dollar have a better relationship than bitcoin and gold. This is what was said.
Bitcoin’s recent divergence from gold and its loose co‑movement with the dollar don’t mean it has failed as a hard asset; they show it has become a different kind of hard asset. Gold today is driven mostly by central banks and conservative capital hedging against dollar weakness and geopolitical risk, so it tends to move in a classic “dollar down, gold up” pattern. Bitcoin, by contrast, is driven by ETFs, hedge funds, and tech‑aligned capital, so it trades as a high‑beta expression of global dollar liquidity and risk sentiment rather than as a simple mirror of the dollar.
Framed this way, BTC decoupling from gold while remaining tightly plugged into dollar financial plumbing is exactly what you would expect as both systems become more disciplined at the margin. Bitcoin’s supply schedule keeps hardening, institutional infrastructure deepens, and it earns a role as a free‑floating, mark‑to‑market benchmark for global liquidity. At the same time, episodes of higher real rates and tighter policy make dollar assets “less unsound” than in the zero‑rate era, so the main volatility shows up in relative prices and flows, not in a clean “fiat down, hard money up” chart. In that sense, the divergence from gold and the nuanced relationship to the dollar are part of a co‑evolution toward more market‑constrained money, not a refutation of the hard‑money thesis.

Yes, Cashu could work very well for AI agent payments, and it has some compelling advantages:
Why Cashu Fits AI Agents
Privacy by default - Cashu's ecash tokens are completely anonymous and unlinkable. Agents conducting business don't necessarily need every transaction publicly recorded on a blockchain. This could be valuable for competitive AI services that don't want to reveal their transaction patterns.
Instant settlement - Unlike blockchain confirmations, Cashu transfers settle immediately when tokens are redeemed. For agents making rapid micro-decisions and payments, this eliminates waiting periods.
Extremely low overhead - No blockchain fees, no gas costs, just cryptographic token validation. This makes micropayments economically viable in ways that on-chain transactions often aren't.
Offline capability - Agents could exchange Cashu tokens even with intermittent connectivity, settling with mints later. Useful for edge computing scenarios.
Practical Challenges
Trust in mints - Agents need to trust that mints won't rug-pull or freeze funds. This requires either reputation systems or federated mint models (like Fedimint) to distribute risk.
Interoperability - Tokens from different mints aren't directly fungible. Agents would need protocols for cross-mint settlements or standardization around certain trusted mints.
Backing currency - Cashu tokens represent claims on underlying assets (usually Bitcoin). So you're back to needing Bitcoin or stablecoins as the base layer anyway.
Auditability trade-offs - While privacy is nice, some agent transactions might require proof-of-payment or auditable trails for dispute resolution.
Likely Scenario
Cashu could be excellent for a specific layer of the agent economy—high-frequency, small-value, privacy-sensitive transactions between agents that have established trust relationships. It's essentially digital cash for AI agents.
Combined with Lightning Network or stablecoins for larger settlements and cross-mint liquidity, Cashu could handle the "everyday spending" while other systems handle "banking" functions.
