Nice Score! I found a couple of large monstera at my Aldi for $15 each. They both had four vines per pot. I let one go to see what it does if left to its own devices. I hacked the other into six new plants to train up planks.

My wife has a pretty sweet remote work gig and I worked out a couple seasonal gigs. The housing price was the deciding factor though. 3 bed 1.5 bath 1800 foot duplex on about an acre for $74k vs a 950 foot fixer upper for $300k on Florida's gulf coast.
Seriously I pay less for two housing units here than we'd have paid on hoa fees down there.

We have decided to increase the size of our flock. 🐔 I wanted to add 6 birds, and I wanted ameraucanas. Of course those are not available locally, so I had to order them. 6 is a dumb number of chicks to mail, so I went with a dozen. However, 12 chickens required a small order fee of $35, so it was cheaper to buy 15 chicks. Then at checkout we found that an order of 15 chicks qualified us for a free mystery chick 🐥
And that's how a desire for 6 birds leads to ordering 16.

I have now completed 1,057 miles of a 1,602 mile journey. My mind is beginning to strain from a lack of bipedal stimulation. I have refueled with caffeine and petroleum, however, I fear it may not be enough. I pray I reach my destination before experiencing a complete lack of cognitive function. (I have begun singing raggae covers of '90's punk music.)

If you're a sour fan, and happen to vacation in Clearwater/St. Pete, I can't recommend Arkane Aleworks enough. They brought me over to the sour side.

I was not on my game last fall. Snow came in October and I didn't get wire rings around my youngest trees. The rabbits took full advantage over the winter. I'm hoping there are some nodes below the girdling to send out some new limbs.

With my ridiculously northern climate, I've learned to just wait. There is nothing more frustrating than an early June frost (yes, june) knocking everything back and having to start over. Any direct seeded crops that can handle some cold get planted a few weeks early, as the soil warms up. Transplants wait until June 15 unless I have protection in place.
