I had a very short talk about UTXO management few days back and the comparison of UTXOs to physical coins helped some people to better understand the topic. Especially the fact that paying with large number of small coins kinda increases the “transaction costs” even in the physical world.
Also I would stress that that UTXO does not equal to an address. There are people who think that DCAing to a single address will lead to low fees in the future. Not mentioning the address reuse.

Would it be possible to just load the notes instead of loading and scrolling to the top when I tap the “N new notes” button? 🙏
The current behaviour is fine if there are one or two new notes but frustrating when there are tens of them. 😅 Would love the same behaviour the App-That-Must-Not-Be-Named has, i.e. new notes are loaded and then I can gradually do the scrolling myself.
Anyway, thanks for an amazing Nostr app! 👏

Hey @npub1cn4…3vle, would it be possible for the Strike app to support successAction for LNURL-pay as described in LUD-09?
We’re using the “message” action for Lightning Raffle at BTC Prague (Trezor Lounge) to show a ticket number after a payment is made. However, the Strike app doesn’t seem to support this feature and we couldn’t find an easy way to at least display a payment hash. 😢
With @npub1xnf…lpr5 , for example, you’ll get this success page with “Ticket nzjow” displayed. It’s also later accessible from transaction history.

My new #Bitcoin full node running on GB-BNi3-N305 with 16 GB of RAM and two 2 TB SSDs in RAID 1. How do I like it? 🤔
When I was building my first bitcoin full node, I wanted to do it as cheaply as possible. I decided to go with RPi 4 with 8 GB of RAM and 1 TB SSD based on the RaspiBlitz shopping list. I was OK with passive cooling and external enclosure for the SSD. I wouldn’t do that again.
I never thought I’d run anything else than bitcoind. Later I had to install electrs and also decided to run lnd. Then came lnurld. I finally realized I’m not comfortable with all that residing on a single SSD with less space left every day. So I started looking for alternatives…
The goal was to find a barebone mini PC that would allow me to connect two 2 TB SSDs in RAID 1. Ideally without the need for any external cables or SSD enclosures. Just a single piece that would have it all. Could not find anything suitable until my colleague Tali mentioned BRIX.
It looked really cool but I was worried about the need to start from scratch with lnd since migration from arm64 to amd64 was not officially supported. Luckily, @PlatbyBudoucnosti had info that this specific migration might be possible. Time for some shopping! 🥳
The complete package was roughly 3 times more expensive than the original node and I had to be very careful when moving the lnd directory. I gladly paid the price and don’t regret a single "halíř" (Czech equivalent of a cent). It’s simply amazing! 🤩 What is your setup?

Yep, the Node Status and Combined Status widgets allow you to do that. If your node has a public IP, then the widgets talk directly to your node. If you only have an .onion address, it’s also doable but requires some additional configuration at bitnodes.io.
