How do we avoid a situation where real, valid concerns against some person/idea are being blocked by tone policing, sealioning, and concern trolling?
It's worth remembering that this assembly wouldn't exist if people had been forced to drop being "civil" and "respectful" in the pursuit of a better community. To me this just reinforces and propagates the worst factions and powers that exist in the project, and I expect it's just gonna be another weapon to a bunch of trolls that know perfectly well that "going high when they go low" is foolish.

a tiny reminder to all the extremely smart and talented people in my feed that using nix isn’t easy and you’re all experts in a powerful and niche technology, and you better not forget it (yes, even if you don’t feel like you know a lot, just being able to use nix makes you really cool and powerful)

I do think it’s so awesome that rustls has experimental post-quantum key exchange, even if like… to be honest, I’m not sure if quantum computers are gonna be a thing or if they’re just like the computer version of fusion reactors… just 10 more years!
