FWIW @npub1qw7…q0ue, the current power usage is drawn for practically just running git pull of a huge repository (Guix) and I’m running on eMMC. Just curious, was your power supply 5 V or 12 V?

@npub105v…hk8p, don’t most registrars meet those requirements? I wouldn’t recommend those I’m using though because their web UIs are behind clown flare. Recently I found out about NearlyFreeSpeech.net which isn’t (but it’s not worth moving because I’m already running my own DNS anyway).

Yea @npub1ufm…qhp4, he did the same false advertisement for the FUTO S2T app and when I asked about it on Matrix he dodged the open-washing issue multiple times and instead directing attention to the license was temporary and they’re planning to improve it. Ugh twas really frustrating and as if he couldn’t comprehend he’s doing exactly what the New York governor did to his right to repair bill.

Hmmm @npub1a3h…m44m, doesn’t seem to be POSIX, but most libc seem to provide bswap(3) which I’d use optionally #if the target is big endian, then cast to the target struct.
I don’t think there’s a better way at machine level, e.g. in Zig with comptime and @byteSwap builtin it would look less like a hack but 🤷

Where Perl, @npub17es…clcm? FWIW Python env setup can really cheap if thou only usest std lib and OS packages. There’s also Crystal which is almost syntactically compatible with Ruby if thy coworkers are into that, and don’t forget about Lua.

As conclusions, we could say that the Fediverse is getting decentralized in terms of server distribution (first analysis) but, in contrast, software usage is becoming less diverse.
I would say it’s a price to be paid when even the analysis include Misskey and Diaspora instances as Mastodon servers. The graphs also made me realize that I probably have color sex daily.

DMCA is already prohibiting authors from ripping own’s ebook, so I wouldn’t be surprised if they bribe the US court into accepting ad-added videos to be derivations and removing ads to be unlawful modifications. Laws on circumvention of copyright restrictions sound like a parody these day.
