176 dollars is the amount I was overcharged last month by my former electric power company. I say former because I have officially changed companies, to one that is 100% green and funded in equal parts by the state as well as private investors. They had a good porting over offer, too.
Anyway, the energy crisis is bad enough. I do not need any of these greedy a-holes to make it worse.

What makes centralised social media platforms incredibly vulnerable aren't viruses and hackers. It's some dirty politician or judge that hasn't received his cut, so he's decided to ban the entire network all over the country.
TikTok has been banned in numerous countries. Twitter/X isn't too far off. Facebook, to escape this problem, has granted Governments full access to the personal data of its users.

We've gone from banning abortion altogether to allowing 10-year-olds to decide if they should keep their baby or not when they themselves are a baby. Yes, that's how young a person could be and still get pregnant.
As parents, as human beings with a conscience, we should be investigating why children are having sex in the first place. Abuse? Lack of education? We must prevent these things, not afford any privacy clause. This is insane !!

Suddenly, everyone cares about Women's Rights and unborn babies. I find that highly hypocritical considering that women across the world have fewer rights today than ever before. They face socioeconomic inequality as well as domestic violence.
As for children, don't get me started. We live in an age where grants are given to study gun violence because more children succumb to gun-related injuries than diseases.

I think humans are silly for thinking they get to own anything. They can't even take ownership of their own body, which gradually weakens and dies.
If we understood just how ephemeral we truly are, then maybe we could forsake all these worthless things and focus on what's really important: happiness, friendship, love, care for the planet and those that inhabit it, especially cats. 😺 ❤️
