This might be a blog but I think we desperately need better language around how GMs think/operate even if the outcome the players see is the same. West marches railroad sandbox zero prep are all terms that have either become unclear or prejudicial or started out poorly defined.
I can think of maybe some better measures:
There’s location based thinking which is like shit this has to be a blog dammit

i'm probably the only one, but maybe i'm not. maybe there are lots of people who find new years as difficult as others find christmas or mothers day. You don't have to look forward to things, or look back at things if it hurts you. I'm with you in this.
