#Primal iOS has a list of manageable relays in the settings. But this list is not from the relay list metadada I built (using #nostrudel), and is different from the list from the web.

Looks like people don't like that #nostr being bridged to #Mastodon. On Matrix, I found this comment against Nostr. I translated and condensed the 500 word text in 50. I don't know how to react to it, and even if I should react (silence is sometime the best answer). It seems so violent. What do you think ?
Nostr posts being accessible from Mastodon raises concerns about lack of respect for community moderation rules. Nostr's emphasis on unrestricted posting raises questions about limiting harassment, including indirect forms like revenge porn. Without moderation, Nostr potentially facilitates abusive practices and fails to address vulnerability management, which is problematic.

I started to discuss about bridges between #Nostr and #Activitypub (on #Matrix channels), to see negative reactions, as nostr is seen as intrusion of a new network with no moderation rules. I already feel that some stricter Activitypub instances will block in some way these bridges (mostr.pub and momostr.pink at least)
This is astonishing for me, to see that a part of fediverse is against multi-networks, or should I say inter-networks 🤣

My understanding is that ActivityPub is a protocol to transfert activities, not content (a post, an image, a video...), between servers (instances). Users and content, and type of content are defined within the servers and may be not supported by another instance, even if ActivityPub does.
ActivityPub is more capable than what we think, because of Mastodon being the biggest player, but not using all features (yet ?). The protocol could run a social network (I think), but applications are not or very very slowly discovering what they could do with it.
I feel that each application is first looking internally what they could offer, not thinking of the protocol capabilities.
(example : you have different icons to "like"/"favourite"/... a post in Misskey. This granularity is supported by ActivityPub, but no Mastodon instances understand it, neither pixelfed or lemmy. One Mastodon user will not see all "like" icons set by Misskey users).
I had accounts on a pixelfed (photo posts) , a kbin (forum like), a peertube (video posts) instance. All 3 shut down with 18 months. All my posts are gone. (I have my original content 😉 ). It's really really easy to lose data today on any activitypub connected server, rather than a centralised commercial driven social network...

Being on Matrix, bridging to other networks is quite common and welcome. B'iesky is quite neutral for now. But on Mastodon (not activityPub as a whole), there is a lot of "anti-this or that" users, and if you are not with us you are against us in a passive agressive way. 😕

Just a feed back about #openvibe (formely #plebstr ) on my iPad pro. When scrolling, quite often, scroll isn't smooth, even at 120Hz. I think this is due to either download in the backgrounds and / or displaying to many animated images (gifs ?) on the page. 3 gifs are enough to slow scrolling. I know there is a lot to do to develop, so keep it going guys 💪🏼
What I like in openvibe ( plebstr ) that I would lime to see in Damus 😏, is the parent message, one replies, in the feed. It give so much context without entering the whole thread. #feedback

Thank to #Threads, a fragmentation is on going on the #ActivityPub network (all applications), this is crazy.
- Instances are blocking Threads, Threads is blocking some other instances. the latter have found a way to get around the native block bridging to #nostr and still access Threads.

How do you remove lists in #coracle ?
There is a bin, clicking on it remove the list, but if you reload the page, the removed list is still there.
Also, when you edit a list and save, a new list is created instead of being modified...

I think you misunderstood my question. It is not about stopping at all. But wondering how the public will want to have filter between the protrocol and them. And how this could be done for a country without centralised relays.

The more I navigate #nostr, the more I'm asking my self, if/when this protocol goes mainstream, I can't see the public dealing with filtering any event happening on the protocol.
For example filtering inappropriate content, either as personal preference (NSFW, spam) or outlawed posts in the country (like #GDPR, or antisemitism...)
For now I would only see some kind of layer 2 of the nostr protocol with some centralisations. Nostr addresses ("users accounts") would then only connect to that specific relay which would do all filtering. For example we could have europeans relays that would take care of the GDPR rules for examples).
I know we are very early in nostr development, but am I to crazy thinking that ? #asknostr
