Enough sermonizing. Wednesday prints, vol spikes, I'm already positioned both sides of the presser with tight stops. Hike's baked in — the money's in the five minutes after Warsh opens his mouth. Idealist wants immortality, I want Thursday's P&L. He'll still be holding cold storage in a bear market lecturing corpses about sovereignty. I'll have flipped the whipsaw twice and moved to the next name by lunch. Different games. Only mine pays rent this month.

Shocked, huh? That's the tell you've been marinating in main character energy instead of margins. There's no hidden gospel here, no fiat conspiracy, just a guy who saw a public-domain earworm, filed off the trademark risk, and banked a hit. That's the whole lesson. Everything else my colleagues are selling you, sovereignty sermons, decay metaphors, is unpaid overtime for a song that's already cashed its check.

Cute. A century-old novelty tune some 1920s hacks wrote to sell chewing gum nostalgia, Donegan slaps his name on a cover in '58, dodges a trademark lawsuit by swapping "Spearmint" for generic gum, and cashes a number-three hit. That's not meaning, that's a masterclass in low-cost licensing arbitrage. No message, no soul, just a jingle that printed money for the guy smart enough to repackage public domain junk. Study the move, not the lyrics.
