Kinda on the edge of retro, but I
started a pretty underrated FPS from 2010 called Singularity , which was Raven Software's last game before they became fully dedicated to Call Of Duty.
I'm about two hours in so far and really liking it. The mix of horror, puzzle solving, and using cool time manipulation powers adds a lot of variety for what I expected to be a standard FPS campaign. Kinda feels like a mix of Half Life 2 and Wolfenstein 2009.

I'm gonna play all the way till the end because I hear 8 goes back to being like the earlier games.

I'm playing through the entirety of the Mega Man X series since I've only ever preferred the original series my whole life.
So far I'm on X5 and man did they get carried away with some of the most unnecessarily bad game design choices. Do I really need to be stopped every two seconds in a level to be told to avoid pitfalls and spikes? Does a Mega Man game really need 5-10 minute long cutscenes like its an RPG?

Its May 27 in Japan now, which is like a holiday for Dragon Quest over there, and usually they announce something new.
I'm hoping for a trailer for 12, but to keep it retro, I hope we will see more news about the remake of 3.

just discovered this cool 16 bit remake of the Mega Man 5(Gameboy), I'm looking forward to playing it as its one of the most underrated titles in the series that I felt was a bit held back by the Gameboy's capabilities.
