So I will start with saying I've seen worse finales (Lookin' at you Game of Thrones 👀 ) and that I'm ecstatic Steve and Dustin survived.
That said I have problems with the finale and the last season in general.
1. no stakes...tons of plotholes
2. several characters just forgotten (Suzzie, after finale time jump Vivkie)
3. The "boss" fight was a joke. I don't buy Vecna never dreamed of it, where's the help? they'd been nearby

The problem is while you will see a lot of complaining, most people will fork it over to keep their tiktok, IG, X, etc feeds pouring in. Though you're not wrong...if a majority would cut off the data and ad impression stream.....tech would become very vocal supporters of user privacy in regards to forking over id for verification.

That said a 700ish pc likely would play most of the stuff out or coming out, but many would be at lower resolution or lower fps. The actual joke is the PS5 has barely hit it's limit if it actually has and had about a 2 year lag time getting go due to shortages. It's ridiculous to drop a pro right now when we had a couple of games that also weren't dropped for PS4 as well? Unless one had been waiting there is next to no reason to buy it.

That's definitely more what MS would like to move it too. Any device can sign in and play. The box itself becoming more of a branded cloud terminal, possibly with some local play if it’s literally more like a mini computer than a actual console. Not sure if Sony and definitely Nintendo are anywhere near ready to fully go that route.

I still feel like they have barely begun to push the base ps5 and with the generation chip shortages at the begging it feels too soon. Granted I'm sure it will be impressive (and might even change my mind upon seeing what it can do), but my gut reaction is unless your launch version fails or you are just getting one why bother?

Side note Google does this too and can be gamed similarly for youtube ads and promoted videos if you have history enabled and aren't ad blocking

Well for one they track everything under the sun and get data all over the web. So best guess they got repeated hits that your computer/phone using multiple sites that do have your real name as a confirmed field and used that. Or if you have one of their apps they might've just harvested it directly from the device. Contrary to what they claim, they do listen & browse things without permission. Wife & I made a game out of seeing how fast to pop a ad up on her phone.

Likely it's a bit of they want a blog....but they want the potentially bigger audience. (not as many people going tracking down blogs these days).

Unless they are breaking rules/doing something atrocious, there is little reason to add work for the various admins out there.
