Hi there, my name is Andy, I'm from Belgium. I spend most of my free time digitising and restoring classic video game magazines, mostly from the UK. I've been doing this for nearly 20 years now and I'm here to share my passion for these magazines with others. I love to read and talk about gaming memories from years gone by. My main hobbies are gaming, both modern and retro gaming, as well as Japanese, South Korean and classic Hong Kong cinema.

Last Notes npub1fnr7ekr6ku3hmgp3hdlh3xmhvcwvgc5ufc5z0dt0qutk46qt05tsyz903c Out of Print Archive I always find it fascinating to see unreleased games appear in magazines. And in this issue, we have no less than 4 of them. First up is Buggie Boogie by Angel Studios for the Nintendo 64. It also made me realise how silly it is to limit oneself to the online discourse of "everything under 80% is not even worth playing", which only seems to have picked up steam as they years go on. I've had so much fun, even with a couple of games that have massive flaws that I'm going to widen my net even more so. One thing they didn’t cover was what a piece of shit Phil Harrison actually is. Presenting the internal CGI video as actual gameplay at E3 and when the devs had trouble matching the fidelity early on without dev kits at first and the just 1 year to finish the game when they finally got them, he berated them and cussed them out to their faces. And I’ve come across some really fun stuff and several incredible looking Japan only releases. I just realised that there was a third Ace Combat game on PS2: The Belkan War! I fell I love with the series with the very first release on PSone when it came out, so this is a very nice surprise for me. Ordered a copy for a measly €8 alongside a bunch of super cheap games. npub1fnr7ekr6ku3hmgp3hdlh3xmhvcwvgc5ufc5z0dt0qutk46qt05tsyz903c Out of Print Archive Review for Star Wing (Star Fox) on SNES. This one has the Japanese launch report for the PS2 inside, so I got nostalgic and one thing lead to the next and before I knew it, I did something I haven't done in years... I ordered a new PS2 game. 😅 Let's make this a guessing game. A tip though: It's one game in a series of 5, which spans 4 PlayStation systems. Last night I started getting pain again in my side. Got worse and worse and I wasn’t able to sleep at all till 7am. Kindney stones again. Time pieces probably but the pain is just as bad. Slept most of the day and now the pain is starting again, so tonight will be hell again. Not to mention the nausea. npub1fnr7ekr6ku3hmgp3hdlh3xmhvcwvgc5ufc5z0dt0qutk46qt05tsyz903c Out of Print Archive I truly hate to say this as I absolutely adore Star Trek. But I’m trying to watch the first episode of the final season of Discovery. 45 minutes in and I’m horrified at what I’m watching. I’ve had major ups and downs with this particular series. But the non stop out of place, way overdone action sequences. The constant unfunny quips, the off putting direction and camera work. It’s all just too much for me. Damn. This is the complete opposite of what I love about Star Trek. 😲 npub1fnr7ekr6ku3hmgp3hdlh3xmhvcwvgc5ufc5z0dt0qutk46qt05tsyz903c Out of Print Archive MegaTech 23 - November (UK) has just been added to the magazine catalogue. https://www.outofprintarchive.com/catalogue/megatech.html Enjoy! 😙 #shareyourgames #retrogaming #Sega https://cdn.masto.host/mstdngames/media_attachments/files/112/150/322/009/458/285/original/0f6b1fae81b99f33.jpg https://cdn.masto.host/mstdngames/media_attachments/files/112/150/322/170/991/442/original/f3e122fca6859e28.jpg npub1fnr7ekr6ku3hmgp3hdlh3xmhvcwvgc5ufc5z0dt0qutk46qt05tsyz903c Out of Print Archive @npub1lx8…y7v3 The first time I played it was at the import shop when they got a Japanese copy in. Perhaps they will wait until the next system to release a new entry, although I heard that Engage was more of a tribute game and that a full on sequel has been in development ever since Three Houses releases, so I'm wondering if it might be a cross gen one... The only one that took me aback was his Fire Emblem choice since I adore Three Houses. Haven’t played Engage yet so I can’t really compare them. But I’m hoping that the next game goes back to the Three Houses formula as that really hooked me.
