I haven't watched the mainstream views since 1998 ... that's 26 years.
I don't miss it at all, and my kids that are about to leave home and go out on their own have no idea it exist. I refuse to bring the degenracy of cable TV, Disney, Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc... into my home.

You can run a script blocker, such as NoScript, and it will rat out the rats. With NoScript you will see Oracle on many websites, collecting data.
Oracle's database is used by many companies, and it looks like Oracle has integrated data collection schemes into their software to scan and collect info as people use company systems, and you can't do anything about it.
Your local bank or credit union may have an Oracle script accessing your checking accouny history as you look over your account using a web browser.
Fortunately, with a web browser, you can block the Oracle scripts with a script blocker, such as uMatrix or NoScript. If you use the bank's app, you can't block anything, so you may want to bank through a web browser using a script blocker.

Do you know that relative to inflatation the cost of homes were flat from 1945 to 2010? It's probably still holding true, but I haven't seen data beyound 2010.

Freedom of speech and the right to denfend oneself against things like oppression and aggression are unalienable rights.
An Unalienable right is a right that you are born with, and it cannot be taken away, not even by a 100% majority rule. It can't be legislated away. It can't be ruled away by a supreme court, and government entities cannot add qualifiers to.
Governments claim they can infringe on unaliebable rights, but they have no authority and no moral justification to do so.
The US Constitution doesn't grant these rights. It explicitly reminds the government that it shall not infringe on unalienable rights.

Socialism (aka forced collectivism) is always justified on the name of Democracy.
Democracy robs freedom of choice from minorities.
Unalienable rights guarantee the rights of minorities and individuals.

### What is Linux Phone Convergence?
Aside from privacy and security . . . "convergence" is one of the main appeals of Linux phones.
Convergence means your phone can be docked and used as a computer.
Linux phones are leaps and bounds ahead of Androids and iPhones when it comes to using your phone as a computer. This is because Linux phones run desktop Linux apps.
The phone in the video is Purism's [Librem5 phone](https://puri.sm/products/librem-5/), which is currently in stock for $649. It may be old slow hardware, but Purism is one of the main developers of Mobian Phosh (the Debian version of Mobile Linux), so they have things working fairly well on their hardware, but nothing even close to current Android or iPhone. DeGoogled phones are definitely the best options at the moment (Aug 2024).
Purism's other phone, their [Liberty phone](#nevent1q…rfj8), is the only smart phone completely made in the USA, with the exception of its removable WiFi Card being made in India, and its chassis in China.

It's slow to grow because it's not being advertised or being pushed by those pushing narratives.
Those pushing narratives don't want free speech, so they'll never push it.
It's open source, which doesn't have advertising money, so we're left with word of mouth.
If you've ever tried to grow anything through word of mouth and your inner circle, you realize 99% of your friends and family could care less
Advertising to complete strangers has always been the most effective way for me and my family to grow a business.

Taxation without representation is when the government forces you to pay for something you don't want, you didn't ask for, you don't support, and very often it is something you strongly oppose. For example, public education, social security, foreign wars, and medicare.
People should be able to decide on an individual basis whether or not they want to pay for and/or use a government service. A government should never force anyone to pay for, support, or use a government product or service they don't want or agree with.
That other socialist definition of "taxation without representation" that everyone learns from the socialist public education system is one of the biggest scams ever perpetrated upon humanity.

Self-host your data. I don't use any Big Tech solutions. Not Google. Not Apple. Not Microsoft. Not Proton. Not Tutanota. Etc...
Always keep you data in your own country.
In the US, as a US citizen, once your data goes international, it becomes legally easier for the letter agencies to collect and spy on your data.
It's sad, but you can't trust anyone. They'll all hand over your data the moment any government agency looks at them mean.
