So you can have lightning address if you go to "Connections" in your Hub and link your Alby Account.
Then you can "tell" to Nostr network what is your lightning address so you could receive zaps. It's in your profile info.
You can't connect Primal address to Alby wallet and vice versa.
In the Extension you can put your Nostr private key to use Nostr on desktop, you can also connect the same wallet in the Extension to your Hub, so you can also use lightning network.

"What is the purpose of the savings account?"
-> It is the onchain side of your self-custodial wallets. A self-custodial wallet has its own lightning network channels. In order to create a channel with your own funds you need to do so with onchain funds. Also, If a channel ever closes, those funds need to go somewhere: They go to the onchain side of your wallet, your Savings Balance.
"Will there be a connection to a hardware wallet in the future?"
-> Nothing like that is thought at this moment. You can always place your suggestion on our feedback forum: https://feedback.getalby.com/
About having your money off the exchange, we also do not recommend using the "Savings Balance" as a long-term hodl account. It is more like an in-between onchain Savings Balance, where sometimes funds have to be moved in between on-chain and the lightning network, that is why it must exist.
Alby Hub is mainly a lightning network wallet & swiss knife that will let you do lots of things with your Bitcoin in the lightning network with the use of app connections. That is why you must choose us ;)
