If you're homeless, for some reason, you can't get a PO Box at the local post office. For that, you need a physical address. I've never understood that one.

There's a story by Robert Heinlein called "The Moon is a Harsh Misteress" which is a retelling of the American Revolution in a futuristic setting on the moon. At the beginning of the story, people living there are basically in a prison colony.
That's what rich people want. They want captive populations who must work to survive in faraway places, and who die within a day if they don't work.
That's their ideal.

I don't claim to know everything about her. It was just a short interaction in the shore. But I got the sense she knew what she was in for, felt terrible about it, and did it anyway.

Went to the grocery store. Stood in line behind someone who paid 86 dollars for a carton of cigarettes. I winced.
I could tell she was feeling the pain of that number, but she didn't want to refuse it, either. She looked like was stuck in a Faustian bargain.

Even if he loses, he'll get appointed to a higher something somewhere.

As a New Hampshire resident, I can tell you a car is a liability/burden during snowstorms. If you happen to be in hospital, or otherwise engaged- such as working- when the snowstorm hits, you get your car towed. Then the local municipalities just keep raising their towing fines instead of opening new parking lot locations for snowstorms.
You have to get up at 7 AM, regardless of your work schedule, and walk all the way down to the designated lot to retrieve your car. It's gross.

I feel depressed.
The collapse of America is coming. Whatever that looks like, or will mean, I don't know.
But I suspect that, with so many people not being able to afford things and having their property (cars / houses) mortgaged out to banks, it's going to be a rough time.
The worst part is, I don't see any way out of it except to let it happen.

I remember looking into NFT games when those were a thing, briefly. It was all about getting people on discord, continually hyping them up, getting them to pay their money, and then delivering....something. Not very good something.
One of those was CryptoZoo, WWE wrestler Logan Paul's attempt at scamming people.
Learning about that made me want to stay away from tech trends forever.

The amount of libertarians prosecuted for financial improprieties stemming from crypto use is more than I can count.
The irony, perhaps, is that crypto started out of a distrust of government currency only to prove such currency is more stable and easier to use.
If crypto enthusiasts wanted to make a use-case example for self made currency, they've failed. What we got instead was One Coin type scams.

Bitcoin is also incredibly antiquated technology at this point. The only reason to do anything with it is to gain money from nothing.
I'm not certain how anyone would liquidate large amounts of it except by money laundering practices.

journalist here. It's reporting 101 to get both sides of the story. That happens too often in political situations where one side obviously isn't telling the truth.
I guess "fairness in journalism" just means being fair to people with authority and power.
