Ontario sounds f-u-u-u-n-n.
They have whooping cough, mumps, measles and rabies all back from the brink of oblivion thanks to their policies.
Tonight: Added attraction: Ontario mosquitoes are carrying equine encephalitis and West Nile viruses in such quantity there's actually a health alert out so stay indoors or douse the repellent on yourself if you're outside.

Every damned country is helping kill children by the thousands if it's the Middle East and the Israelis you're referring to. Trudeau is stuck with the cards he has.
The wealth transfer you refer to is about a tenth of what's going on in the US and I'd hate to speculate on UK, but yeah.
I see no alternative but Liberal right now.
No Liberal is giving me anything.

Strong disagree.
We actually have a competent government in place with the Liberal Party.
There is a massive disinformation campaign the likes of which I have never seen in my 6 decades convincing Canadians that down is up Putin is our friend and MAGA needs to come north which has utterly villainized one of our better Prime Ministers.
I'm not a Liberal fanboi by any stretch but their mis-steps are nothing to what Conservatives would do to this country; NDP are 3rd place at best.

Watching a library burn is tragedy. It's loss. Lots of things are mass-market, replaceable but every library will hold some things there are very few of. Maybe no others. And when things are gone it can be impossible to bring it back. I know, I just spent 5 years of my life on a project that as good as it is can likely never be complete.
Watching a library burn because the fire was deliberately set is a straight-up obscenity. That it was set by fascists makes my blood boil.
War never changes.

What exactly got spoiled for you to hear there was a callback to a character from the original series?
You know nothing more about it than you did moments ago.
I literally spent several minutes framing that to be a fun tidbit that didn't spoil anything for anyone so glad to know the effort was appreciated.

Star Trek: Prodigy Season 2, currently on Netflix, is a lot of fun.
There is so much here:
Janeway. We get more Janeway. This is good.
We get a bunch of answers for some long standing questions - such as just who the heck was Gary Seven, from the Original Series' failed spin-off - working for.
Despite being cancelled by troubled mergering studio Paramount, this is premium level must-see #StarTrek, made with heart and respect for the material, and it shows everywhere.
I loved it.

Anyone else notice how the climate-related deaths are being normalized exactly like the covid deaths?
1000 die of heat stroke at Mecca, heat dome killing seniors in North America.
It's becoming like everything is traffic accidents - deaths we accept as a random inevitable part of our environment but that we directly cause.
Death by contagious airborne vascular infection, death by heat, death by flooding, death by drought, all just part of the landscape now. Normal as sunshine.
God's will.
