You won't find me mandating decisions for people on reproductive health, ever.
Each person deserves the freedom to make decisions with their doctor & care team. Full stop.
No free passes for the MAGA GOP, Republican State Legislatures, Christian Nationalist etc.

Today marks 2 years of the MAGA Justices on the Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade to take away individual decision-making & reproductive freedom
Part of my job monitoring disinfo includes far-right efforts to restrict healthcare decisions between doctors & patients further, and the reality is that the writing is on the wall: a national ban of abortion access & contraception is next, no matter what they say in different spaces

If you're in #NewMexico, the polls are open til 7p and you can even register and vote on the spot if you're new or it's been a while
We're also blessed in that our elections are both secure and accessible, including being ranked number one in the nation recently by MIT Election Data and Science Lab, which is no small feat

I know people have various thoughts about voting, but for me an important perspective is that it's about harm reduction...
Often, this means recognizing but there is both offense and defense involved in being engaged. The more you practice both, the more prepared you are to know what is needed, and act on it.

I've been reading [@404mediaco](https://mastodon.social/@404mediaco) for a few months and just became an annual subscriber, for a few reasons:
- Big Tech is good at PR (+tech startups emulate this) so we need independent journalists who understand that technical/social landscape
- 404 Media is owned by the reporters, and we need more cooperative & collective news publications
- They are covering things no one else does esp. about the impacts of AI on both our culture and basic safety
