Not too dissimilar to V, it is through the crucible of understanding that society is not, or is no longer, on my side that caused a specific change in my character. It is difficult to do so while maintaining existing relationships, especially when your own family does not change to nearly the extent or at least at the pace as you yourself change. We all have our cross to bare, but in the medium to long term I pray that the volatility in my life and indeed Bitcoin too will decrease as I journey on this new path of sovereignty.

To be frank the thing that drove me to all this was panic and fear for my specific situation in COVID, which they would not have had. I am a single income household on a modest salary considering I have a family of 7. Canada was making new rules all the time and if I lost my job, I would have only got 1 benefit payout to support 7 people, which would have been completely unsustainable. That pushed me over.
That said I would like to think that I would have listened if someone had truly tried to tell me about Bitcoin, but it's hard to know if I would have. Once I dug it took 2-3 years to know about markets and Bitcoin which was part of the process of necessarily understanding "money"
For maximum gains, I would still trade a bit at the most obvious times. The thing that then made me go 100% all in was conviction and morality/ethics, which required more of a departure from greed more so than courage.
Courage is somewhat of an abstract concept, but if courage has a lot more to to with stern alignment of your actions based on priorities and conviction, in that sense, i suppose I do I have courage.

I own no fiat, shares, funds, or anything else. My directed anger is peaked and IDGAF. I could have done TQQQ a while back and TSLA a while back and doubled my stack based on how much I would have done and when I would have done it, but I'm not playing the games of those who I distain in order to benefit myself. I know too much and at this point it's taking advantage of the broken system that impoverishes the majority of the world and steals time and lives for the sake of the few.

If money works it is not profitable to know anything about it, because it just works. The more broken money is, the more profitable it is to know about if you wish to exploit the aspects of it that are broken.
By exploiting the broken system you become part of the problem taking personal advantage vs those who do not understand it. In our case this is especially true because the system doesn't even work if the faults are fully known and collapses if enough people understand it fully. The more who know about it, the faster it collapses. The system is quite literally held aloft through ignorance of the masses and violence.
Until recently, the only two options were
1. Not knowing and never gaining real wealth over generations without at least some knowledge of money
2. Knowing a certain amount which over time has way more effect than the actual value being provided to others.
Now there is a new option! #Bitcoin is a money that can actually fix the existing system. Bitcoin can cure the existing system and can therefore demonetize all the other assets trying to fill the void of either lack of portability (#gold) or the lack of hardness in the moneys designed to fix portability (fiat) or other assets entirely like land, index funds, real estate, bonds, collectables, which were not engineered to be money itself but rather augment an attribute that the fiat money lacked, namely scarcity.
If #Bitcoin wins, then you will profit far more than almost any other investment because it will demonetize these other assets and absorb so much value that everyone other than a very few people can even begin to comprehend.
If Bitcoin loses, then you are at significant risk of losing your stored time and energy or value taht you provided to others.
But #Bitcoin is the only way to have the potential of storing value without exploiting others directly or indirectly Because you are completely removing yourself from the system that chooses those who learn to exploit it for their own personal gain.
I am 100% Bitcoin. I do not participate in other assets that could decrease my risk while exploiting others should Bitcoin not win. Do you have the knowledge and bravery to do the same?

I'm so tired of the politics of gender, race, sexual preference etc. I have always treated everyone with respect whether they believe traditional lifestyles are the only healthy option or that health is found in fulfilment of desires and impulses. I only draw the line when people are making choices that harm others or in hindsight harm themselves due to cohesion or encouragement in making an irreversible decision that necessarily makes their body less healthy before they're a fully formed adult.
I feel for all those who struggle. Life is hard, especially for those who struggle in this way because so many of them had sexual trauma in the past.
Regardless of who has the best approach, nether side will likely EVER agree. The trad types did horrible things to those who did not align with their point of view, now it seems that the people with traditional values are being criminalized. The measure of a person should not be what they believe but rather how they act towards and around those who they do not agree with and how much they care for others who are suffering in any way.
Pride is a sin. Humility is a virtue. We don't need any more division and hate in this world and there seems to be a lot of hate from the pride side of things towards people who do not agree with the views. The other side, from what I can see, is more sick of the views themselves being forced upon others rather than what 2 consenting adults do in the privacy of their home.
This is not equality, it's just a new form of hate directed at a different group of people who have traditional values or are white or male or anything else that is a majority.

Indeed but it is not just absorbing fiat money. It is also absorbing all the monetised substitutes because fiat does not hold value. People hold art, Rolex watches etc. all these will drop significantly as they become demonetised. Bitcoin will absorb so much more than all the fiat money. People have the right to act out however they choose as long as the other person is a concenting adult.
The problem comes in when people disrespect those of a different viewpoint. Just because I believe homosexual relationships are not healthy, does not mean I am treating another person with disrespect. (Didn't see that one coming did you)
The second problem is that the sides are not equal. By plastering LGBTQ propaganda everywhere it IS disrespectful to those who have the view that biology is a reality regardless of how one feels and/or sexual attention's purpose is primarily to procreate and if that attraction is not conducive to that end wether or not it is a possibility (infertility), it is by definition disordered.
The equivalent would be hanging flags and making a parade announcing traditional views to the world.
Just like homosexual people need not hate people who believe traditional lifestyles are optimal, the reverse is also true.
Wasn't this all about treating people with dignity? I believe we're far past that now. There is now even a trend with younger kids that it is more cool to live alternative lifestyles. It's gone to far. Let's treat other people as people and end the endless extremist behaviour on BOTH sides. Chill. No parade required unless it's e tirely inclusive and positive. Pride is still considered a Sin by many. Let's try humility.

Locally, yes it would be a database before it leaves the node, which is the whole reason why my project can operate the way it does on a 3rd party platform designed for virtual currency.
It just so happens that this database is then able to transfer guaranteed value/liquidity to another database/bank/node in seconds and even find a route without a direct connection if needed without requiring nearly as much trust as with traditional banking/settlement rails. Lightning fixes the banking payment and settlement layer.
We have a long way to go for every working fiat system to be replaced on a Bitcoin standard but it's important to be able to model the Bitcoin ecosystem relative to the current systems so that we know what we have and what we need. Money is Broken, but many of the systems in fait land are still fairly magical all things considered.
I'm tempted to write a book on exactly this topic but I have no time. If Bitcoin goes to 1mil I'm going to do it.

Something that always surprises me is the amount of small things that devs could do with little effort vs the amount of effort put in otherwise. Take nostr for example. It would be very easy to support multiple NIP-05 aliases even if it's not in the person's profile. Seriously, just look at the nostr.json in the appropriate location and deliver the npub related to it whether or not it is listed on the profile. This would allow people to be found by multiple identities. Imagine a business domain, a nostr.pleb or whatever, a gaming profile [playername]@minecraftstr.com or whatever all able to point to the correct and singular presence. This would allow for business applications to adopt Nostr more easily. Picture a teams or zoom like app that you can link to your email address with an underpinning of a Nostr profile.
Allow multiple NIP-05 without listing on the profile!

Even though I'm a Catholic which has a more significant belief on the role of the Church and also in some cases causes judgement from many reformed/protestant denominations. I have far more in common with my brethren who strive for uniformity to the will of the Father and have a relationship with Jesus rather than those who are "members of the Church" alone. I mean, they probably still can't but that's only the in game piece. Let's add in "real" lightning in that there is a real wallet associated with every player upon join without them knowing a thing about Bitcoin. The wallets work if the game is down because it runs on a proper node. Wallet Sync to an IRL wallet.
As opposed to having lightning features in game, Sovereign Craft is an Interface to a Lightning infrastructure. There is no money "in game", you, or even the 3rd party plugins designed for a virtual economy, just can't tell the difference because it's that fast.

I manually made it for now and put 1000 sats in there for the inconvenience. If this applies to all players it's a new bug. Existing players wallets appear to be working fine. Should be fixed soon.

You and me both. I got into some trouble along the way, but somehow I wonder if my kids will be lesser for not getting into as much trouble. Plus I had more spending money growing up vs now for a few reasons. I was lucky.

I mean, he's convincing Bitcoiners to by his shit which gives him more real Bitcoin for fiat gains. He claims he will never sell it, so we'll never get it. He has access to fiat loan rates that we can't get, so I a sense it's proof of stake on Bitcoin. Lastly he claims that you don't want to use. Bitcoin as a MoE and rather fiat will be used. What am I missing?

The best nostr app is also apple? Weird.
Amythist is okay but then the experience on primal coracle snort iris or walhatever is so inconsistent it drives me batty.

It's a mixed bag IMO but I generally agree with that is most cases.
I personally enjoy socializing with people with a common interest, but introversion is fairly common amongst Bitcoiners. It's great to be able to talk to people IRL when they actually get it.
There's also a smaller part of me that hopes more generosity will come my way at some point so I can spend more time creating rather than working for fiat so much. It's not ideal, but it's true. I appreciate the help I've received so far that has allowed me to mostly break even with my side project of Sovereign Craft.

Yes and you can choose to use them, a smaller or less official lighting provider, uncle Jim, or your own node if you have the funding to do so. It's a free market. Let the people decide.

the ETFs aren't great IMO but Banks I have no problem with. I use custodial lightning at times and I have my own node and own wallet too. The market should decide what the demand is and not the regulators. WGMI either way IMO.

Banks should be free to offer Bitcoin services if they choose to. Let the people decide what they want. Bitcoin is for everyone.
