I just laid out my con-crunch work schedule for the next 2.5 weeks. I have two costumes I have to finish (one is not started, but should be somewhat simple), and one I would really like to get further than last year.
I can do it. But I’m behind on the big build. I was really expecting it to be done by now, and it is not even close.
I need to find all of the ambition and work ethic that has fallen between my couch cushions.

Using the recent shooting as an excise for a mask ban is silly. They still caught the guy. The mask may have slowed them down, but it didn’t stop them. Any mask ban is just a way to push marginalized people even further to the edges, and to use as an excuse by the police to harass people.

I am going to continue to compost, wear a sweater inside, walk to the grocery store, and pay for the expensive electrons. But I also fly around in airplanes and generate what feels like a surprising amount of trash. And you know, live in a society that loves fossil fuels more than it loves people.
