Oh no, someone thought it was a good idea to hire me as a server in downtown #losangeles.
I said I'd never go back there after someone tried to mug me and I had to go to an ER...
...But like 50 bucks an hour when you've been #homeless for years up until a few months ago is a really hard thing to walk away from.
I applied there like 2 years ago and beat about 5000 people as they get 100-200 applications a month apparently.
I won! I guess?

Every now and again I'll remember that my ears suck, and like to slowly get clogged with wax because nothing about my body works 100% like it should.
Then one day it will completely block and I'll be deaf in one ear for a while, and I'll go buy a cleaning kit since I'll definitely lose the other one I bought about a year and a half prior.
Then enough wax to make a small candle gets blasted away, and everything is a whole lot louder for a while.
I am an experiment.

You'd think living in a giant city like #losangeles would give me a never ending supply of things to do, and while this is correct you should NEVER underestimate how #adhd I am.
My personality is the entire symptoms list, and if I have too many options of things to do or get done, I'll freeze and never do anything trying to decide what I want to do/see.
Also crowds can freak me out due to #anxiety disorders so I'll fall back on like 5 "comfort" locations.

I have always had strong emotional intelligence, and the ability to say exactly how I feel about things, and never really had to think about it even if I can be overly blunt by accident.
I'm never trying to make someone angry unless I'm poking fun at them a bit for insulting me first.
To some people communicating is like quantum physics, and I wonder how they got to the Grocery store without taking the stop light personally, then yelling at it for ten minutes.

I've gotten 8 different incels banned from #reddit today because I've come to find you don't even really need to say much.
You just have to give them advice about what they're doing wrong with women, and then the hate comes out and you hit "report" and just keep pestering them along.
Then a 4 year old account with 45,000 troll karma is gone and they have no reason to live anymore.
I'm doing God's work, really.

Most people I know in blue states got the majority of the SNAP payment, all of it in many cases here in #california like I did.

The state of sober living, independent living, shelters and pretty much every system meant to #help addicted or people struggling with #mentalhealth is absolutely wrecked in #losangeles.
They do stuff like drug you then make you look insane after you finally lash out from abusing staff.
They let people take #drugs then sell them more.
Out of a dozen or so places I tried, only this most recent one isn't taking advantage.
It's no wonder LA county has 65,000 #homeless.

I've never encountered more angry drivers in my life than in #california.
They'll literally honk at absolutely nobody sometimes. Perhaps they have #car horn #tourettes. I've also seen people start honking at the next car JUST IN ANTICIPATION of a green light that hasn't quite happened yet, but will.
They cut people off, risking their lives to continue moving at 15 MPH during rush hour.
I'm surprised there aren't as many dashcam vids as there are from #russia.

I could use a hug.
I was crying writing that thinking that even my own father did that to me.
He couldn't handle how my words cut through like a knife.
So he hurt me until I went insane and then made it all look like it was my fault, and called me violent when he's hit me more than I've ever hit anyone combined.

The hardest part about #tourettes these days isn't people not knowing what it is now.
It's their pride.
Every time I've had an issue at a shelter, hospital or otherwise it was not that they didn't understand outbursts when distressed.
It is choosing to simply punish me as they did not want to deal with someone saying things they didn't like.
So they hurt me for something I can't help, and make me look crazy to remove the problem.
I've shed a lot of tears over that.

#craigslist has been useful for me in the past with finding random gigs to do. Which I did pull off and I'll be going and helping someone set up and carry a bunch of equipment for #naturephotography and time lapses overnight.
I'm basically getting paid 400 dollars to camp for a night and hike with equipment.
I also came across the most repulsive woman on Earth: it started as a conversation about clearing out a house and then went from 0 to 100.
Should I contact CPS?

I now live in a 2 million dollar house in a very fancy, rather calm neighborhood in the upper #sanfernandovalley.
It's somewhat of a privileged house for people part of Full Service Partnership who don't constantly mess up, and after the disaster at the first place they put me, they tried me out there despite being new to the program as they felt bad.
I now have a spot :D
It has a pool, and a yard big enough for 4 houses.
Two puppies to chase around too :D

I have figured out a surefire way to get amazing, not mushy rice 100% of the time without a rice cooker.
I despise mushy rice, yet absolutely love firm rice. I sucked at making it until now!
Using basmati rice:
-Rinse dry rice
-Have a ratio of just over 1.5 to 1 water to rice
-Add a pinch of salt, just barely enough to taste
-Combine rice, water, and salt with 2 teaspoons of unsaturated oil
-Rapid boil 4 minutes
-Cover, barely simmer 20 min
-Don't stir after start

I like to think #life is the #universe trying to see itself for the first time.
I am quite spiritual, and believe my soul is a piece of energy trapped inside a body, with a strange connection to the universe.
All we seek to do is understand it. Understand ourselves.
When I die my soul will be returned to that, and maybe I even believe in reincarnation.
I simply like to believe this, with a core that the living aren't meant to know what the afterlife is like.

I realize that part of me fundamentally thinks poorly of having high social status, or a lot of #money that you waste on nothing.
I grew up with a family that was better off financially than 99% of families by the time I was around 11. Quite a bit off and on before that with things more unstable.
That same family gave me #cptsd severity only about 1% of people share.
So despite having more money than 99% of families, 99% of kids had a better life I envied.

Trying to describe a full or partial body dystonic tic to someone is wild.
They're slower with a pulling/tugging sensation that lasts a long while leaving tension.
Like I'll slowly raise my shoulders and have to remind myself to relax, and it's hard to stop
Muscle cramps that never stop and circle my body in a wave. I need meds for that as it's AGONIZING.
Full body ones will make me ask stuff like "Is that an earthquake or is my nervous system shitting bricks?".

I appreciate the small things in #life.
Like how I have a friend who has a pool and a couple adorable puppies to play with who ISN'T a drug dealer now.
That's a first. Cuz those were the only other people I knew with pools - usually some dishwasher or busser I worked with who threw giant parties to facilitate drug sales.

It is definitely more difficult to eat healthy when you're #poor.
That is where most of my money goes - decently healthy food. I could eat much more cheaply, but I also like a good variety. It's a pick two situation - Cheap, varied, healthy.
Most cheap food is endless sugar. Like the free breakfast available everyday at Full Service Partnership. It's better than nothing if you're broke, but it's 15 different kinds of sugar with some eggs which I hate.

Some people spend like 100 dollars on a cup, then buy like 70 of them for some reason.
I'll use the same Brisk Lemonade bottle for two weeks until I accidentally leave it somewhere and forget, and then I have an excuse to buy another lemonade!
I have other cups.
Usually that I found at a thrift store and couldn't possibly imagine spending 100 when I'll find a mug that's 4 and go "nah, too pricey,".
The Brisk just had a cap, and I'm clumsy.

Americans are straight up addicted to #food.
I've noticed that the food at most chain restaurants is the same high-calorie nonsense copied over and over again with a slightly different theme.
It's not even good, yet people will pay insane amounts of money for it. You'll go out and the "healthy" option still has 1/2 a day of calories in it.
It's all #enshittification in the #usa at this point. #life is a scam and I want a refund or an explanation for going elsewhere.

#neglect and instability would probably be the largest way I'd describe my upbringing.
I never had things I needed, and when I did they were often taken as punishment.
When I became an adult I indulged, realizing I could have anything I wanted, and with a genetic disposition to #addiction and a desire for attention after being isolated, I dove into the awful side of party #life.
I was isolated enough that I didn't really know how people worked.
Learning was hard.

I've become #vegetarian by accident I realized.
I almost never eat meat anymore as I have a stomach very sensitive to saturated fats.
It absolutely hates them and meat is the best source for that. That and random junk #food as well. So I have been subconsciously avoiding them and get my protein mostly from nuts, beans and occasionally protein shakes.
If I do eat meat it's something lean like chicken or turkey.
I'll substitute butter for unsaturated oils if I can.

There's a #realitytv show called Rich Kids Go Homeless.
It's offensive from the start since it takes away everything from them - bank account, items, ID, pretty much everything except some clothes that make them look kinda homeless, but badly.
Homeless people know support, and have a lot of those things - it's less being #homeless and more cosplaying what rich people think being homeless is.
Every single rich dude believes being on the streets is a laziness problem.

Occasionally someone will use the argument that we live in the best time to be alive, and then compare how #life is now compared to some horrifyingly grim thing we used to do to one another.
I argue that things are just as bad, just in a more convoluted way.
People will ALWAYS find a way to be evil, and do evil things. People will find a way to take advantage of one another. It seems to be in the nature of some.
You simply have to take more steps to be horrible now.

It's gotta be rough being a teenager ATM.
80% of your peers can barely pay attention long enough to read an entire page, and every single system in the #usa from #education to #housing has turned into a scam, while you look forward to getting a degree in order to make enough money to maybe rent a 1 bedroom apartment, buy a new car, and raise a dog all at once.
Forget owning a house or having kids, as both you and your partner will work 50 hours a week forever.

It's too hard get help in the #usa.
I think of a time where I was begging for help, and didn't really know what could help before I realized I had #tourettes and severe #cptsd. I was recovering from drugs, misdiagnosed and nearly dead.
I had to almost die, be hospitalized many times, and go to several doctors for proof before I could get on #disability and find Full Service Partnership for #housing and other assistance.
You shouldn't have to almost die to be worthy of aid.

My relationship with #religion is very complex.
I was raised #protestant and my mom jumped between churches bringing me along. They never understood her illness, and people were scared of her as she was kind, but rough around the edges.
A church we went to for a few years kicked us out and broke her heart when I was around 10. Sent us a letter paraphrased as "Your family must not have enough faith if Julia isn't getting better, don't come back,".
I keep my beliefs very private now.

I live with someone who's #masculinity is so fragile that they can't aim into the toilet to save their life, but would rather pee everywhere then clean/mop it up than just sit down.

I will never pay for #youtube premium.
I have a patched version of the #app (YT Music too) done with Revanced Manager that unlocks most of the premium features, blocks ads, and then does other neat stuff like auto-detection of sponsorships in the videos that it will skip for you.
I'm not paying a company that blocks screen lock listening behind a paywall.
Which both official apps do.
Only thing I can't do is download, but I can with a third party site.
DEFINITELY recommend Revanced.

For some reason people really like my jacket Sam.
He's sentimental as he's the only thing I still own from before I was #homeless and served me well enough I thought to name him.
He was 30 dollars at #walmart and I could have made more as several people have asked if they could buy him since I got to #losangeles. When I first got him my boss said he was awesome. People tried to steal him at #shelters and he always came back to me.

The #EpsteinFiles situation may just be the key to victory over #trump and his regime.
They're absolutely panicking which means there is A LOT to hide, and it's caused so much infighting they are about to start splitting into separate parties.
Not even a #dictator could hold onto power with the open reputation of being a #pedophilie unless he had a total cult of personality.

Being #kind takes more strength than cruelty, or selfishness.
Nobody takes advantage of other people's cruelty. They avoid it if they can, then being selfish isolates you from others.
You have to take care with #kindness.
I was kind to someone I stay at an independent living place with, who saw me as someone to use for free stuff and hadn't outgrown the jail mentality of constantly using people, then tried to rope me in with his friends who were up to illegal things.

I have a bunch of free classes available to me, though I am not sure the entire extent of those classes.
I DO KNOW THEY EXIST THOUGH!
I do know that the program I get case management and pays my housing cost will pay for them too!
I have absolutely nothing better to do, so may as well make my brain bigger, or take some fitness classes, or something creative just for fun and to meet other creators.
They're my favorite people :D

Luckily I don't ever hit people.
But if I have like an empty bottle, pencil or something else fairly light I like swinging it around and tapping/lightly hitting stuff with it.
Often myself.
I just had a really bad intrusive thought, swung it really hard and hit myself in the wrong place xD

I hurt myself in the dumbest way I've ever hurt myself about 20 minutes ago, and I'm in pain but giggling still.
I had a back scratcher, and I was slapping my thigh randomly with it as my #tourettes compels me to swing stuff around and lightly hit stuff, including myself.
I was compelled to swing it really hard, my arm jerked, and instead of hitting my thigh, I hit myself in the nuts about as hard as I could have.
Then rolled in the grass for five minutes laughing in pain.

My genetics is like I was given a trait from an #rpg of some kind, where I receive one benefit, and one downside to make up for it.
Buff - Unable to sit still so I am very physically fit by accident, and will probably live to 95 like everyone else in the family tree who was like this.
Debuff- Terrified of everything and always overstimulated because someone turned my senses up to 300% and I can't turn it down.

Well the guy is the sole reason behind my crippling CPTSD that is so bad I need medication and constant therapy just to not panic 24/7.
He destroyed my life.
He destroyed my mom's life.
He destroyed my brother's life.
He caused suffering for an entire family that had to watch that and could do nothing.
Then he hurt me after I trusted him and needed help the most as an adult.
Society does not need him.
I am going to remove him from it.

My worst fear used to be that I'd go crazy like my mom.
My dad's worst fear was that I would turn against him one day and try to ruin his life.
My fear wasn't so bad, and I was crazy the whole time. nobody ever knew what was wrong with my mom - #tourettesyndrome everyone thought was schizophrenia.
His fear is about to end his life, as I have a solid case for kidnapping against him, and I will be pressing charges, and doing it publicly.

It's happened about three times in LA now where someone said I was hired, then never spoke to me again.

Well I dunno what happened with LA Diner.
They said they hired me then I got an offer letter, responded, then never talked to again.
HOWEVER -
An adorable little Peruvian restaurant just hired me instead, and the owner was so nice and passionate about her new restaurant I couldn't help but say yes.
I always admire people who truly believe in what they're doing, and I knew I had the job when it stopped being an interview and became a conversation about #life.

A simple anecdote of how poor the #mentalhealth system is in the #usa -
The worst hospital I've stayed - which was in #losangeles - helps nobody.
A list of groups was pinned to a board that they were supposed to have, but never did.
The only thing to do all day was three terrible meals, a TV in the dining room, an old book, or walking up and down the hallway.
It was a place to stop someone from hurting themselves, or someone else and that was it.
By definition the same as #jail.

I was sitting there at a bus stop with a bunch of food in a grocery bag sitting next to me on the bench, and I swear to god one of those squirrels was eyeballing it whole time and slowly inching towards me.
Then I scared him but he just ran a few feet away up a tree, and kept eye balling me like I was next on the chopping block for his friends.

#losangeles has the bravest squirrels I have ever seen.
Everywhere else I lived they were quite skiddish, and ran away at the slightest provocation and there wasn't a chance you'd ever catch them.
Los Angeles squirrels will just walk right up to you and stare you in the face like "DO SOMETHIN' ABOUT IT," only running if you move suddenly and aggressively.
They'll kinda just casually hop away in a slightly annoyed manner if you walk up to them.

I am stressed out.
I have moved so many times that I think I am starting to get traumatized by the constant environmental Instability.
Every time I move I go somewhere better.
But I am tired, and I cannot relax at all for the first few weeks in a new place.
Then I leave just as I am at peace again.
I know the end of it all is in sight, and this should be the last one for a while.
At least it's good for my legs-

Working on a #restaurant sober is going to be a new experience for me.
Last time I worked in an official front of house role, I was on #drugs as I didn't know I had #tourettes yet and used them to calm my tics down that I didn't know were tics yet.
I have medication that calms them down to a manageable level, but I'll have to learn how to #work around them, and manage stress without a substance to fall back on.
I feel like I'm awake for the first time in a decade.

So sadly, I will not be a server at a male strip club.
It was a legit job, but my potential boss was the strangest human being on Earth, and also liked randomly sending nudes of himself, and other random pictures to show what the next uniform would be.
I was majorly creeped out by the whole situation. Felt like some kind of hazing tactic.
There were no boundaries at all.
No thanks, I have an interview at a pot shop instead.

Those poor #weymos.
Now if you dunno what a Weymo is, about six of them got burned in #losangeles cuz I guess I'm not the only one who thought they were horrifying.
They're automatically driven cars with a giant set of cameras on top, and kinda just drive around LA doing whatever the fuck they do, and scared me the first time I ever saw one as I thought someone bailed, and it was out of control.
They were paused during the protests. A few found some angry people.

The only reason I am going to downtown #losangeles today is to get property I forgot at the group home I just left.
I have to take public transit, and between me and my property is the #nationalguard and that's just how insane my life is.
The military is now in places I used to walk around all the time when I was bored, and needed to think.
I am starting to think I am cursed, but at least I'm not bored.
Being bored sucks.
