Samsung is getting rid of its SMS app and telling customers to move to Google. I'm not doing that. I already use Signal for most messaging. Still need SMS for 2FA (don't @ me bro, some companies still do that) and for notifications from delivery services.
Would appreciate recommendations for secure SMS apps.

It's a one thing for organizers to put pressure on the hotel because of their choice to house DHS staff by calling and letting them know that what they're doing is harmful or by making it public what they are doing or by interrupting the sleep of DHS and other guests who are housed there.
That is basic movement organizing and activism.

I 100% agree.
I am concerned about framing or presenting things in ways that might seek to undermine community organizing efforts or reinforce the regime's narrative that they are under attack when people resist their fascism. The way that the initial post was written sounded very much like something that would come out of DHS. Which is why I ask.

Thank you. That letter does not say anything about getting threats for housing DHS. Sounds just as likely that they are taking the safety of their staff just as seriously. We know housekeeping staff and guests have been kidnapped from other hotels DHS has been staying in.

I understand that you might find it sufficient to ignore those people. However, even if they stop harassing you, they'll move on to other people. If you block and report them, it increases the chance they will be removed by the moderator of their instance. Blocking and/ or reporting helps others who might not have the same ability to ignore such people.

I have been using CoMaps for a little bit now. It definitely operates very differently than Google Maps. It's just something that you would have to get used to. I never liked the Google map navigation talking to me anyway so the fact that it operates a differently doesn't really bother me as much but it might bother you if you do rely on the navigation settings.
Because I go to a lot of rural spaces, being able to download the map is super useful.
