I'm in no way an AI hater. It has some very good use cases. But in the commercial world, if you are promoting a product or service, the phrase "AI-powered" translates to "didn't read the room". The majority probably don't see that as a plus? (I could be wrong!)
Boost if you will to get coverage. The results will be interesting if enough people vote.

Good morning. I've enjoyed Mastodon for 8 years now. It wasn't a problem until recently, but I am convinced that the CW feature should be systematically used with the mention #uspol.
I am not telling anyone what to do. Currently, I'm obliged to mute people who post horrendous images or article shares about the violence. I want to see posts that make Mastodon what it is; more intelligent and thought-provoking than other platforms. I don't need to get news from a social network.

#authors I just read a story by one of my all time favorite SF writers. I've read most of his books from the 1960s on. This "lost story" from 1956, was published last year.
The story was awful, had nothing at all to recommend it.
I write this to remind new writers. You see, even a giant starts in steps.
And of course this is true for any art. Vincent Van Gogh's early sketches? Frank Lloyd Wright's designs?
You have to start somewhere. Keep on learning, practicing, improving.

I don't want to be the guy that blames all society's ills, on technology, but there's one salient point:
Before we were all connected 24/7, inputting rivers of information, disinformation, and everything from sport to AI videos, humans were pretty much forced to do what we do much less now; we interacted in person with other humans and were not drunk on the glut of data. It came in more slowly, at human speed.

All ten of the top streamers are in Spotify playlists (as well as many other playlists). Other than one in an editorial playlist, the rest are all in algorithmic playlists. They are all served in the Radio list, which is pushed to free accounts as well as those that accept suggestions.

#spotify is an obscene word for some, but I am studying it closely with regard to 95 tracks I have there. In 2024, when they went to the 1,000 stream minimum, I pulled off about 130 other tracks. I felt that they should be in inventory unremunerated, even if it's pennies.

Decided to try to do a local restuarant's Veggie Bowl at home and you know what? It's just as good!
But it takes over two hours to prepare, and requires several baking dishes, pots, a frying pan and utensils to wash. It takes about 20 minutes to get a bowl at the restaurant and they're nice folks.

I used a chat to ask a question about a product and when the name came up, I asked, "Are you human?" He said "yes", and it appeared he was. One clue, longer delays to find answers. It was exceptional, most of these chats are AI and just waste your time until the "Want to talk to an agent" happens.

I've been kicked off Instagram and know others who n-have been for no reason, citing "community rules". There was absolutely no rule broken in either case. She posted photos and short articles about travel. I post about music and some original photos. Meta uses crappy AI, too. They all do it now!

I've had that happen once, too! Obviously, nothing wrong with the review. Most of my reviews are "if you can't say something good..." but only once did I leave a long and scalding review. It did not get scrapped.

I think bigger batches would be a detriment to my health! This was four or five tortillas. Now that I understand the baking process (after cooking them on a crepe pan, no oil), the world is mine! I just need to find the best seasoning.

I know! There are worst things to be addicted to, but really, it's an effort to pass them by when there's a new variation of sweet pepper. Right this minute, I made a bunch of flour tortillas and they're in the oven crisping up. Testing the recipe which may be too peppery and not sweet.
