My head canon is SNW isn't the unaltered "Prime" timeline despite what the ad copy would say.
I believe it's a splinter off Spock travelling through time with the red matter.
Nero travelling back creates the Kelvin timeline, but there's that space between when Prime! Spock arrived and Nero shot past him that there's no reason to say multiple branches couldn't have grown out of the fractured subspace or whatever.
Barest of an explanation, but it sounds good.

This guy uses reclaimed disposable vape batteries to create a large battery bank and power a (admittedly tiny) electric car. And then he pairs it with some cheap solar panels, an inverter & MPPT Charger to power his garage/workshop.
Total cost all in? About $1600 USD.

Just saw a former mutual (I unfollowed them) boost another poster saying anyone who orders off Amazon is selfish or lazy.
I took it personally.
I don't have a lot of money and my wife and I are both disabled. Amazon also has some of the best return policies I've ever seen.
Yes, I agree Amazon sucks. In the past I've tried replacing my purchasing from Amazon but it's hard. Things are more expensive, or the storefronts rely on third party listings with dubious return policies.
I have one friend who uses her Amazon wishlist to crowdfund groceries because she's disabled, hasn't been able to find remote work in more than a year, and has no car or reliable public transport.
Don't fucking call us lazy or selfish.

They don't get to meet Q at his most Q-ness. They don't get to meet the Borg for the first time. (Q Who) They don't get to see Measure of a Man talking about self-determination and what defines intelligent life. (Home Soil & Measure of a Man) They don't get to meet Lore and delve into Data's history. (Datalore) They don't get the early episodes discussing the Prime Directive (Pen Pals). They don't get the excellent episode with a deaf actor talking about sign language. (Loud as a Whisper)
By all means pick out certain episodes. There are some real stinkers in the first two seasons. But you miss SO MUCH throwing out 48 episodes of the damn show!

After consideration and sleeping on it, I'm going to be staying on Fedora for now.
My initial reaction to the "allowing AI contribs" news was a bit knee-jerk.
I still don't want any AI anywhere near my OS (cough Windows 11 cough) but I see the policy denies completely AI-provided slop and requires disclosure of AI use including what LLM was used. Someone here pointed out that it was extremely likely AI was already being used and not disclosed.
This is at least a step in the right direction, so before I set fire to my home and uproot myself and my wife, I'll keep an eye on things and try my best to stay informed and see how this shakes out.

Seamus Blackley (the 'father' of the Xbox) is decidedly not a fan of the ROG Xbox Ally X.

If you want to try Linux, but are afraid of screwing up your usual PC, instead of looking at how to set up VMs or dual boot, I suggest taking an old PC or grabbing a cheap used office PC off eBay, Craigslist or Facebook marketplace and installing Linux on it.
You can't go wrong with a Lenovo ThinkCentre or Dell OptiPlex for supported hardware.
And best of all you can find these things for less than $75, easy.

Welcome to the US government, where everything is made up and the Constitution doesn't matter!

In 1993, DC Comics published a special issue of their Star Trek: The Next Generation comic. One of the stories was "Spot's Day", inspired by "Data's Day", in which Spot escapes Data's quarters and goes on a little adventure.
It was written by Diane Duane and is a treasure.

Oh my goodness, there's a time lapse feature for Krita.
Are there any Linux tablets with pen support?
