woof. I work in this riding and generally they elect very conservative people to office. I wonder if this gets attention if he'll be replaced with the BCU guy Jaime Stein.
To me running a racist white candidate in a riding with so many voters of Asian descent seems bad but who knows in this weird election. Maybe Too Close to Call can tell us🙄

brutal stepdown for a party that was in power only a few years ago.
rural and suburban BC isn't looking for more greasy used car salesman types they want full on fascists in their "right of centre" party. and plenty of former BC United were happy to jump ship and get on board.

I got a warning message from Facebook that my account may be restricted for advocating violence, for posting a death certificate from 1944 in a thread discussing the birthplace of a historical musician😲 he died of tuberculosis 80 years ago, that is just their crap OCR detecting the list of possible causes of death from the form.

I love the old timey archaic New York English and/or way of speaking of Russian Jewish immigrant guy. They're so focused on the lights in the building because Eva fell down a dark stairwell and they were trying to establish that the stairs were fine.

Yeah especially in some cases where the document is super long, keyboard scrolling doesn't work. Like trying to look through 1000 search results on a page or a pdf in a frame.

I tried using Google photos on desktop for the first time and it's really bad for this too. The scrollbar is a tiny horizontal while line 1 or 2 pixels thick ?! And clicking slightly too far from it in trying to select it will skip to a date in the timeline on a list of months 😵

ya this book covers it pretty well (republished lately as a free ebook) for the WWI era. WWII I'm not sure what to suggest but I came across a lot of it during wikipedia research about internment camps cuz the Germans and German-sympathizers were interned & eventually deported once the war broke out.
