Fascism is not about politics. It's about denying fundamental human rights. Your statement is just a very good demonstration that being "unpolitical" actually means tolerating hate and prosecution of minorities which makes you part of the rise of authoritarianism.

So, I started to volunteer in our local community centre to help (mostly) elder people with their computer and smartphone problems.
It's fascinating. We have people there up to their 90s and they are all every open for change.
We remove ad ID's from phones, change default browsers, switch from MS Office to #Libreoffice.
And for next time I already have a date with an elder lady to switch her old Windows 10 laptop to Linux Mint.
And she is not the only one!
What a time to be alive.

Avoiding news channels really works great. The important stuff finds its way anyways but all those minor fuck ups in the world are gone - all those things you personally can't do anything about. That's a blessing.
I'm working on getting rid of IG at the moment, but the job makes it hard.

I feel that too. I thought about being afk in the last weeks as I felt it support my mental health. I'm not following news since 7 years now and it has done good to me. And I abandoned most social media because I felt not being good enough with my art, business and life. Fediverse is different though but I also have to tightly curate accounts I follow. Some people only share negativity or twitteresque general blaming about everything. And I don't have the capacity for this anymore.

that's the big question. Do I really have to be there? Instagram has dropped its interest in photographers long ago when they wanted to become Snapchat. And now they want to be TikTok. Meta definitely did a good job in making us believe there is no way around Instagram.
