There's still the issues that arise from conflicts with identity and seemingly unrelated truths that go against the "obvious". People will try to keep it all within a virtual "politics" confinement that prevents them from learning deeper, all while trying to {nit,cherry}pick ideas to blame the downfall on... perhaps even just dismiss the complexity entirety and call it "extremism" (as I'm already seeing over Spain, even if only as observers).
Seems to me like the answer is finding the path to instill a culture of rigor against generalization, a culture of care over assumption, a culture of empowerment with humility over powerlessness with arrogance.

It doesn't seem like we really know M3's or M4's cache, so that's interesting and could be a hint. Here's the stats I could find:
- Lunar Lake P: 192 KiB L1/core, 2.5 MiB L2/core, 3 MiB L3/core
- Lunar Lake E: 96 KiB L1/core, 4 MiB L2/core, no L3
- X Elite: 192 KiB L1/P-core, 128 KiB L1/E-core, 12 MiB L2, 6 MiB L3
- M3 P: "192+128 KiB per core" L1, "16 MiB" L2, no L3 (yes, I cannot find anything other than the Wikipedia with this info)
- M3 E: "128+64 KiB per core" L1, "4 MiB" L2, no L3
btw I wouldn't expect cache to have increased much at all from the M3 to the M4 *unless* they used more die size for it, since SRAM is not scaling down anymore

I'm still not satisfied tho: Oryon's cores are still smaller than M4's even when "increasing" that 9% back, and yet the M4 is just on a league of its own.

Something hinting at that: if this table is right, Apple's cores are much smaller than Intel's, while not much different from Qualcomm's (which, remember, uses an older node, afaik with a 9% density difference) https://www.reddit.com/r/hardware/comments/1fuuucj/lunar_lake_die_shot/

The thing is: it's not manufacturing node. Apple used TSMC N3B for the M3 and is now featuring N3E. Lunar Lake uses N3B, while the X Elite uses N4P.
It's also not RAM. All of the mentioned chip families use RAM chips right next to the SoC die, interconnecting with either LPDDR5 (M3) or LPDDR5X (M4, Lunar Lake, X Elite).
It's very obviously the core design.
