No matter which UI framework you give to engineers, they will do engineering stuff. In engineering ways. They will not build a great user experience. They will build a user experience for engineers. If you want only engineers as clients, that is fine. If not, talk to a UX designer.

I really like Nextcloud, the philosophy and the idea behind it. It deserves all the support in the world and I have been using it for years. The video is called "Design", but you talk only about features. You call the mail interface simple and intuitive and show this screenshot.

1. Ist das mit der Leertaste nicht intuitiv auffindbar. Auf den Text klicken schon. 2. Fühlt es sich unter iOS immer unsicher an wo ich lande. Vielleicht weil der Cursor sich auch quasi auf einem Buchstaben befinden kann. Bei Android immer eindeutig zwischen den Buchstaben und das mit der Leertaste geht da auch. Nur ist klarer wo man ist.

Die Tastatur. Apple, was stimmt bei euch eigentlich nicht? Würden irgendwelche Patente verletzt wenn der Cursor zur Korrektur einen kleinen anfassser bekommen würde? Beim Android treffe ich immer genau die Stelle die ich korrigieren will. Beim iPhone ist das Glückssache

I mean would you call a number just to access a website? I would not. I would think: why the f* didn’t you spare half an hour to check the website and instead put an effing phone number there just to not getting sued.

macOS Tahoe has now widget inside the menu bar. So you can for example put a VoiceOver toggle directly in the menu bar or make a folder with the controls you frequently use. 🔥

I run windows on arm in a virtual machine inside of macOS (MacBook Air m2). Works well enough to test stuff with. I bet something like this is also possible from Linux nowadays. It used to work well under Ubuntu five years ago with virtual box. I don’t want to convince you because it all means effort, but windows has become such a shit show, it might be worth it…

I was thinking of starting a collection of #accessible patterns for the web. Such resources exist already. A million of them. All saying different things.
I think I need a collection of answers to common questions and patterns for common problems that is written in easier language and closer to the real world and patterns you could copy.

thank you for your kind words! I don’t expect to be through all the accounts and stuff soon, but it is ok if it‘s gonna take some time. Though this is nothing special, not every online tool provides a process for it. But hey, I can open lots of bug reports. And I envy people who never revealed their real name online. They will never have to deal with this.
