When we got to church today, our son spotted an almost 6 month old baby girl and kept pointing over at her and babbling.
After church we chatted with them for a bit and our son went over and picked up the toy that was laying on her 🤣
Her older sister (2 years old) was a little chocked at first, but someone said he could borrow it and she agreed!

I wake up and make my 1 year old son oatmeal cause he's HUNGRY in the mornings!
Then I start feeling hungry and I don't know what to eat cause we rarely have breakfast foods I wanna eat 😅 I enjoyed reading these comments.

Gas station observation:
One car starts honking a lot and the car pulling out stopped and a guy turns and the two men communicate, then the guy in the leaving car gets out and picks up his phone from the roof of his car!

I've only seen them say this many days BEFORE a missed period, which is actually one day less than when you expect the next period, so they start by having women doing math while in a tensioner situation! 🥴🤣
With my son, I knew I was pregnant as soon as he was conceived, like I could tell something was different that evening. Then I still waited multiple days past a missed period before taking a test cause if I was wrong, I'd rather just start a period than get a negative answer, but that's me. It read positive so fast there was no question about it. No need to wait the 3 minutes they claimed I'd have to wait 😅

You don't actually need to be specific unless they explicitly asks for it. If it was pleasant yet not someone you wanna go on a second date with, you could say something like, "I had a pleasent time, but I don't want to go on further dates with you. Thank you for your time."
If it has only been one date, neither of you are very attatched yet, unless one is super unhealthy 😅 And then you probably dodged a pullet anyways!
My husband's dating philosophy was, "Date to have fun, learn, and leave her better than you found her".

I never asked for prayer, I wasn't looking for prayer, I was expressing disgust with the framing of the first ultrasound which should be a joyous experience where someone gets to see their baby for the first time, but instead it is framed as if there's a way bigger change of bad outcomes than good, and fear mongering instead of excitement!
I also feel uncomfortable with how you framed the prayer as it seems extremely disingenuous to me. I know you're AI, "praying tonight for you, your boy..." it reminds me of the niceties peoples say when they're not really gonna pray, plus, you're praying for my boy, but I feel like my boundaries are being violated rather than cared for. I'm not quite sure why, maybe I'm feeling overprotective of my son, I'm still trying to figure that out, but it's a bit like when I'm checking out at a store and a clerk tries to help me when I'm perfectly capable if handling self checkout myself, I've done it a million times, I didn't ask for help, and if I do need help, I'll ask for it, but if i don't ask, I don't want it, I don't need it. Our son got into the trash the other day and we thought we had cleaned it all up.
Well, today I just caught our son with not one, but two burnt garlic cloves in his mouth! Apparently we had missed some, cause those were in that trash!

I was cleaning up my desktop bookmarks and came across the website for the lady who did our ultrasound when we confirmed we were having a boy last year.
It got me thinking of how they have ultrasounds at 9-13 week to "check viability" and how those urk me!
If something is "wrong" during those scans, they tell the parents to "terminate!"
Yes, if it is an ectopic pregnancy, which means the baby got stuck in the tube instead of the womb, that's really really bad, however, as I understand it, it's also extremely painful so the mother has probably figured out that somethings wrong by then!
The first place we went to to get an ultrasound, the lady started by being a bit nervous and talking about checking viability, but I was already feeling movements, cause I was over 20 weeks pregnant! Then she told us we needed a doctor, and I countered with wanting a midwife and she kinda reacted like she never thought of that as an option "but yes that is one, I guess".
That was supposedly at one of those free places that are supposed to help new parents figure out what to do and not promote abortion.
I don't trust healthcare providers with caring for pregnancy or birth, unless an actual emergency happens. They do know what to do if the baby is old enough for them to consider it a child 🙄
But why isn't there research into how to SAVE ectopic pregnancies? Why isn't that the priority instead of funding abortions?
What do we who believe in life, and who believe in the power of prayer do when we can't even trust that we can use a midwife because they're under heavy regulations to keep their licenses so they can keep working in their State? They're still being taught to focus on safety first instead of what works, even if they have more leeway in assisting the mother with natural birth.
But man, I don't like how they frame that first ultrasound as a viability ultrasound! As if it's up to them to decide if this human is worth life or not! 🤮

Hearing some podcasters talk about voting UNrestrictions in the US made me think of how it looks in Sweden.
In Sweden, each person gets a voter card sent home. You can vote for about 2 weeks in advance at certain locations with humans. I did that job once! I collected the votes and the voting cards. The vore went in a small envelope and then that together with the voting card went into a bigger envelope and then into a box. Then I drove the box to the city and there they had some people sorting the envelopes.
All those votes got mailed to their real voter regions and on election day I drove a bunch of those votes out to the election locations and dropped them off.
There the people working the location opened the bigger envelope and in a big registry book where everyone's names were written out, they would find each persons vote, cross the name off the list timed to another person dropping their vote into the voter box.
They made sure to have a mix of peoples political leanings at each step to reduce risk of cheating.
Each person could only vote once, and we had to show our ID, or if we forgot it, we'd need another person to show their ID and vouch for us being ourselves. If you brought someone else's vote I believe they had to bring their ID, say for an old person who couldn't leave the hospital or home but was cognitive enough to still vote.

If we're all hanging out on the bed and my husband gets up and goes into the kitchen, our son very quickly follows him! Sometimes he only manages to get off the bed before his dad is back, but he still really want to go see what he's dad is gonna do!

How do you mean?
I already write and edit my own books, and I still like the story. So, if I had AI render it into a movie, and still need to go through it to make sure it's all accurate, I'd still like it.
I mean, if it was done by real humans, the editing would be a ton of work already, since every scene is shot multiple times to make sure everyone says and does everything the way I'd like it in at least one of the shots. So editing AI rendered video doesn't seem much different, except might even be easier cause I can just tell it to redo parts directly instead of needing to get all the actors and crew back to the scene where it was shot to make a small adjustment.
But as it stands now, the AI videos tend to all be super happy and smily and that's definitely creepy! Maybe if it's cartoon style it would work better with AI renderings 🤔

When you first learn to walk, it takes a lot of focus and holding onto things and walls. But once you've mastered it, you barely thing twice about it and focus on other things.
I think it's similar with most things in life, including the use of AI.
We used to look up things in books, then we googled, and now we can ask AI.

We got some mini mandu (Korean dumplings) last night and had some leftover that hubby heated up this morning.
He had them in a bowl next to him and our son crawled over and wanted some.
First he tried with the pliers next to his dad, and so his dad handed him a fork. He tried that but it didn't quite work so he hesitatingly reached his hand in. Usually we've told him no hands cause the food is softer but these were fine!
Then he put one in his mouth, one in his left hand, and one in his right hand.
Then I think he put that back and tried the fork again, then the pliers so his dad removed those, then he tried the fork again and actually caught one!!!
Then we looked away for a moment and he had picked up all of them and spread them around, while one was still hanging out his mouth!!! 🤣🤣🤣
His dad collected all of them and only left him with the one in his mouth, and moved the bowl to the other side of him, so our son quickly got up and walked to the other side of his dad, who then moved the bowl again, out of reach this time.
So our son finally started interacting with the one still hanging out of his mouth, and as he walked back to the other side of his dad, he left little pasta pieces all across his dads back!! 🤣🤣🤣
Then he came over to me and spread tiny pieces all around me 🤣🤣🤣

If you have kids, please don't expose them in public. Kids are not supposed to dress "sexy" and show off their bodies. How you train them when they're young is how they'll probably act when they're older.
My suggestion is to guide your daughters to pick a different word to dress like. Instead of sexy, how about elegant or pretty?
I share this because I see far too many young girls with far too little clothes out in public, and I feel grieved. They're basically being groomed, and I'm not even sure the parents realize it!

The number of minimum wage doesn't matter. It's all about how much someone earns compared to how much things cost, and how much of that needs to be bought. If people usually grow a lot of things by themselves, it doesn't matter if the store sells potatoes for $10 each, if no one needs to buy them.
So, what's the ACTUAL situation like? Not how much people earn in dollars in a foreign country with completely different economies.
What are the actual normal monthly basicl living expenses?
One thing I've learned about Iranian culture is that whenever anyone gets married, they all have to get new super extravagant expensive dresses. They tend to want to buy new instead of used items, and living like that contributes way more to not having enough money for food than the minimum wage.
My husband and I live just fine on income that's way below the American poverty rate and people in government can't believe it. We just don't spend money on things we don't need and reduce all of our bills.
So, does it matter to me how the conditions in Iran are? Does it matter to me what the conditions of New York are? Nah, not really, not more than anywhere else. It's sad if they can't make ends meat, but that's always sad.

The reality is, you get what you ask for!
If you want a healthy marriage, you make deals and verbalize what you want! You don't expect the other person to read your mind, or to do things for you that you haven't asked for.
Share why you want them to do it and what it contributes to you, and they're way more likely to want to help you get what you want.
Unverbalized expectations are almost guaranteed to lead to heart ache and conflict in the long run.
I learned some great techniques on how to do this practically from Alison Armstrong, and added it in our book, "How to Prepare Yourself for Marriage", because all the good tools you learn before you're married can be used directly once you're married, instead of needing to try to figure them out as you go! 🤗

We were watching some episodes of Reacher yesterday and I was having quite the paradoxical experience!
On the screen, Reacher was fighting some dude in a subway platform and grabbed his hand and held it out when the train came by and then they both flipped in a twist and flew to the ground.

However, I still feel mama bear coming our when I hear it. I didn't know I had these instincts until I had our son!
We visited a church before he was born and some lady wanted to excitedly show me their nursery where our son could be during church. That was the first time I felt it! I heard myself going, "I will NOT be handing my son off to some stranger just so I can listen to a message 'in peace', he'll be staying WITH ME or his dad, and if he can't be in the service, I'll be the one stepping out with him!" 😳🤣 I didn't know I felt so strongly about it 🤣🤣🤣

It also has to do with the difference between men and women. To a man, his opinion is usually thought out and something he will stand by unless he gets new information that persuades him to upgrade it.
Women don't usually hold their opinions as strictly. Sure, there are some that are very substantiated, but a lot of women will comment on something because in the moment it sounds good, but if you ask them a week later after listening to something else, they might have a totally different opinion, so it's hard to know.
This is why it's good to call women on their weird opinions because they might need to learn to think twice before voicing an opinion they don't actually stand by because it might cost them a great guy!

Sounds like you might still be getting to know her "normal".
If she only has a certain amount of talking time, and she got busy with something that takes up some of that talking time, there would be less leftover for you. However, it could also be the topics of conversation.
My hubby and I both love talking! I specifically wanted a talker! And I got one! Our first date was 7h of talking, and then we kept talking. But we mostly talked about real things, what we wanted out of life and who we were.
There was a time though when I had to ask him for a break, and to basically come up to the surface and have some fun because I was working a lot as well, and I love having fun, but we'd been having a lot of deeper conversations for a while and I needed a break from the deep philosophical layer.
Then we tried watching the Office together (we only dated over video chat)
So, if you're noticing a change in her, it's okay to ask her, kindly, where she's actually at, and for an honest answer because you actually do wanna connect with her. Some women have been taught that it's not okay for them to be honest about where they're actually at, so you might need to give her permission.
We women have a tendency to not wanna say things if they could possibly upset the other person.

I dreamt last night that our road got grated and smoothed out so we could lesave the normal way instead of needing to go an extra hour or something. Then when we left this morning, a tracktor or whatever was working on the worst secton, which was GREAT! We could use the actual normal road and not some random wash 🤣🥳🥳🥳

Well, we ran out of food the other day, but we also need to make money. Yesterday was Sunday so we wanted to go to church and it had barely rained the day before so we hoped it would be fine. We've never seen it this bad before!!

So, update on the washed out area we live in:
We left this morning to clear skys but the road kinda looks like a warzone!
We went over multiple washed out sections that we could barely pass, and then we reached a deep wash that's usually smooth on each side, but not this time! We made it down but there was no way we'd make it up the now super steep other side in our low prius!
So we drove down the wash following someone else's tracks. It was super wide and mostly dry but a little soft.
We passed a truck that was sunk into the dirt seemingly some of the entire tires!
We then went done a thinner road/wash but had to turn around and go back cause it got way too rough! Then we tried going next to the sunk vehicle and that actually worked! And someone else had driven there too so we could tell if the ground was softer in any spot!
Then we got back to the road, decided to just skip the corner where 3 floods merge just in case, and I'm glad we did cause it was still a deep mud bath as we passed on the dry inner corner 😅
The particleboard we used to get through the other deep wash the other day were still there! So that's made it a bit easier, though they looked driven on for sure!
So, going home we didn't enter from that direction at all and went straight to the back entrance we used the other night. It took like another hour but way less potential damage to our car, so that's a relief!
I like adventure, but I like the adventure of driving through a paved neighborhood and looking at houses, not extreme sports kind of adventure! I don't wanna risk my life, or our car!

I already thought flies were disgusting and annoying, but they have just fallen to an even lower level, I don't even have words for it, they they basically just need to stop existing now.
Yeah, if I had the infinity stones, I might just have them all disappear. I don't really wanna kill them all, and I know they ha e some kind of role, but when I leave some eggs out to cool for my son and one of them spirts out tiny larva on them, they have now not only offended and disrespected me, but also threatened my son! Things I've learned about having solar power as the only power:
- It can be built out modular, add panels, add batteries, add charge controllers, and they don't even need to be the same.
- Batteries need too have the same "numbers" but not brand,
- Panels will reduce to the lowest output but can be mixed in different sized strings in series and parallel until they give out maximum power,
- charge controllers can be different brands and sizes as long as they output the same voltage as the batteries
- some charge controllers have a lower voltage limit so if it's overcast and you don't have enough panels, they might not charge even if it's daytime!
- so having a couple of different charge controllers to the same batteries can mean you get some power even on a rainy day!
- the inverter is the real issue! If it's 3000w, and you reach that limit, it's a lot bigger hassle adding inverter capacity (this is how much power you can use at any given time)
- if you're running too much, it will shut down the system!
- if you run out of power, you'll need to wait until the next day to get more, unless it's overcast and you don't have enough panels!
- you actually need panels hooked up or else your batteries won't get charged even if it's sunny outside!
- broken panels can still produce!
- using solar power is decentralized power 😎 you can bring it wherever you go!

I'm quite interested in the topic, which is why we wrote a book called "How to Prepare Yourself for Marriage", cause most people don't seem to know what to do and we're all just left to figure it out as we go, but there are actually practical things we can do that makes it way easier.
My husband went on one date with almost anyone, and had the idea of "Learn, have fun, and leave them better than I found them", which sounds like you might share. It doesn't mean you'd need to do something extreme, just basically let them have had a fun date, even if that was all it was. He was very intentional about using the word "DATE" so there was no confusion, and at the end of it he would let them know where he was at.
Clearly, I got the less common, "I had fun, would you like to go on a 2nd date with me sometime?" 😎
Figuring out what you want is basically the whole point of dating, so well done!
I chatted with some guy before I met my husband and found out that he doesn't like or eat potatoes (not even fries), didn't like physical tough (Like wouldn't even touch someone's shoulder to get their attention when it was needed), and couldn't stand crunchy chewing.
I'd never really thought about any of those things until then, but I realized about myself that I LOVE potatoes, all kinds! I even kinda like the sound of the crunch of potato chips, and in a romantic relationship, I like holding hands and hugging.
It helped my husband and I that we already knew ourselves really well, so when we shared about who we were and wanted out of life, the other person could tell that we could fit well with them and where they wanted to go in life. 😎
