Remember that Satoshi was the only miner, node operator and dev for the entire first year of Bitcoin's existence. So we're already much more decentralized than the first edition npub1er775ew586ekz9tek56w9ttlad45m4q9ketfs9h0793dwvfj5y3q53q74t wildburro Is Luke running all the miners and nodes? npub1er775ew586ekz9tek56w9ttlad45m4q9ketfs9h0793dwvfj5y3q53q74t wildburro Yeah I'm using Phoenix wallet which has worked very consistently. The custodial wallet would be nice since it's not tied to one device, but I get the tradeoffs. At the very least, as a user I would hope for more transparency and warnings about potential withdraw issues. Otherwise it seems very shady npub1er775ew586ekz9tek56w9ttlad45m4q9ketfs9h0793dwvfj5y3q53q74t wildburro I won't be using your service again because this also happened to me back in January when I tried withdrawing 50k sats. I was able to do that eventually in 10k chunks but the experience spooked me. Now after this latest withdraw issue my trust is gone, but thank you for responding npub1er775ew586ekz9tek56w9ttlad45m4q9ketfs9h0793dwvfj5y3q53q74t wildburro I had to transfer out about 20k sats via on chain transaction which sucked up a lot of my nostr zaps. Even 1-2k chunks did not work npub1er775ew586ekz9tek56w9ttlad45m4q9ketfs9h0793dwvfj5y3q53q74t wildburro The casting out of the money changers and robbers from the houses of prayer that should be Bitcoin and #nostr npub1er775ew586ekz9tek56w9ttlad45m4q9ketfs9h0793dwvfj5y3q53q74t wildburro Then why is none of that shared with users. We just get stuck sats in coinos. "We have a withdrawal feature, but it's probabilistic" npub1er775ew586ekz9tek56w9ttlad45m4q9ketfs9h0793dwvfj5y3q53q74t wildburro This seems like a pretty fragile system if it requires manual monitoring. At least let people know 'if you want to withdraw X amount over lightning, it may/may not work'. In reality it's starting to show sparks of life, so they're trying to kill it. They're trying to make you feel like a loser for being here. Don't feel like them, feel good and keep using #nostr npub1er775ew586ekz9tek56w9ttlad45m4q9ketfs9h0793dwvfj5y3q53q74t wildburro They smile in public and say the new Bitcoin will never work, then work relentlessly in the shadows to try and kill it. Damus auto-signs you up for a coinos wallet which seems great at first. You will receive zaps, but try sending those sats to a different wallet, and it really doesn't work for large amounts. I had to do this via on-chain transaction which cost weeks worth of zaps in fees. #nostr isn't failing because of the idea or the technology, the ruling class is just as corrupt as our government and the old bitcoin. So I think there will be an inevitable schism or split that is required for it to really thrive npub1er775ew586ekz9tek56w9ttlad45m4q9ketfs9h0793dwvfj5y3q53q74t wildburro Reading more into it, they invalidated a bunch of keys due to a data breach. But the question remains are these data breaches random or planned backdoors. I found out a while ago that transferring large amounts of sats via lightning out of coinos does not really work. So it's kind of like Hotel California, you can stay but not really leave npub1er775ew586ekz9tek56w9ttlad45m4q9ketfs9h0793dwvfj5y3q53q74t wildburro All rivers converge in the ocean.
