I’ve seen a few. It’s kind of a shame that the conceptually better version of ecash is so underdeveloped and unused.
On desktop, the @nprofile…jv6s browser extension holds your key in encrypted local storage, secured by an 8 character minimum passcode. It also has built-in safeguards against clients that send requests to wipe your follow list.
It also lets you back up you key in password-protected ncryptsec format, on paper.

Presumably you’d have a solid password on it, but without an encrypted disk, the data would still be retrievable. Your best defense is probably to force close channels and sweep funds as soon as possible.

Even if someone broke in and stole your machine, you’d still have time to recover everything with the mnemonic and SCB. They’d just get a computer with nothing useful on it.

White Noise is now my most-used app, and in practice it has become the app that builds apps. I dictate a bug to Hermes in the same chat, the APK comes back there, I install it on my phone, and I keep testing until the behavior changes, which is why the upcoming release has me genuinely excited.

What was happening was it would reply to the top note visible on the screen instead of the OP note, which is how replies in threads are supposed to work.

My biggest complaint about this place is it doesn’t have any place to sit outside, just a giant parking lot and you have to eat your sloppy brisket sandwich alone in your car.
I’ve tried both. Helium is definitely the better choice.

It doesn’t affect @nprofile…jv6s, at least for now. This was a different browser extension app I’ve been working on. But this experience does make me question whether it’s even worth it to continue supporting that version.
