Hammer, my little BBS over SSH, can play NES games now. Press g in the menu and you get 16 free homebrew games running on a real emulator on my server, drawn right in your terminal with sixel graphics. Saves follow your SSH key, and two people can share a game. #BBS #retrocomputing
From a terminal:
ssh -p 2323 hammer.pablomurad.com
To play you need an SSH key (ssh-keygen -t ed25519 makes one) and a terminal that speaks sixel: WezTerm, foot, iTerm2 or Windows Terminal 1.22+. No sound there, but it plays.
SyncTERM is the best way in: add an entry, pick SSH, address hammer.pablomurad.com, port 2323. It plays the game's sound and knows when you're holding a key, so platformers feel like a real pad.
Super Tilt Bro., Nova the Squirrel, Thwaite, The Legends of Owlia, robotfindskitten and more. All homebrew whose authors let it be shared, no Nintendo ROMs. The door is nesdoor by Alex Corris. Only 3 seats at a time, so if it's full, grab a coffee and come back.

I'm having some serious trouble organizing all my books. The photo attached shows just one of the walls around the room, and pretty much all of them are covered in shelves and books.

After three intense days of moving house, I think I’m about 80% ready to get back to work!
It’s a strange feeling, leaving a place you’ve lived in for 20 years. Really weird.
My move to the new house has been happening little by little because of the weather, literally. Work has me chained down, and it’s been raining like crazy. It’s 6:18 a.m., and I’ve got until 9 to get the computers over to the new place. If only it were just a matter of moving them, but I still have to haul everything over and set it all up.
At least the new network is already up and running, waiting for me. I think this should be the third-to-last load.

I stopped getting notifications for a while, and on top of that I’m in the middle of moving house, so everything has been a bit chaotic. Gustavo and I have started giving Runv Club a new visual identity. He’s a CSS wizard, which makes him the complete opposite of me. I’m nowhere near his level. It’s already looking really good.
We’re also making some bigger changes: Runv will become 100% open, without depending on a single maintainer, and we’re translating it into English. That part is already underway. This time, I’m working with Gustavo and illustrator Gabriela Maçom, also known as 'Sweet Aine'.

I’m building a very precarious Usenet network at https://skull.black. I’ve spent the whole day working on it, and it’s actually coming together nicely. I thought I was “done” until I got the idea to share binaries alongside the board.
Right now, nearly 13 hours later, I’m disabling cyclic CNFS to allow for unlimited retention!
