Even if you only blamed them for incompetence, they've been around long enough that they should have fixed this by now. At this point they should have the most polished web client out there. But still, up to almost a third of notifications don't come through, other clients show almost twice as many replies to your notes. You're literally missing a huge chunk of people commenting on your notes. And apparently Primal can show follower counts because of the caching server, while other clients show much more realistic numbers. It's like that from the beginning.
This thing probably isn't even in alpha yet, let alone something you'd recommend to beginners. And that's with a team and funding.

Das ist eben die Sache. Normalerweise bringt man sich erst gar nicht in die Situation, solche Probleme klären zu müssen. Schmale Menüs macht man nur bei glatter, eindimensionaler Hierarchie. Ansonsten werden die Workarounds zu aufwendig.
Man this new normie generation is weird. When they meet on the street they ask each other for their Instagram before saying goodbye instead of asking for a phone number. Like "which glass prison cell are you in?".
We used to exchange phone numbers to keep a little distance and once we got closer we'd say stuff like I live at this address just come buzz me.

Ja, wie soll das denn auch gehen? Rein physisch. Addons haben sowieso immer das selbe Icon, sind gar nicht identifizierbar per Icon. Dafür muss man halt das Menü mal wieder ausklappen.

Sounds like you want another Facebook or Twitter. Because all the things you listed as disadvantages are actually the consequence of a free decentralized network. It be rough around the edges, there will be a lot of experimental stuff and you will have to put in some work to make it feel good. Because most devs won't give up the sovereignty aspect of this protocol. And this comes at the price of making your hands dirty. Most people are not ready for that. And that's ok. That's part of the experience.
