Profile (1) is where X usage drains battery. Profile (2) is fine. No difference in app settings, even X config.
Last time I checked, X requires Google Play Services, I can try without it in private space for curiosity's sake.
Thanks for your reply, probably my most visited account here on Nostr 😭
@npub1hxx…g75y I have X running in a private space with its own VPN within a secondary profile. I have turned exploit compatibility on and off to test. X appears to just eat battery and turns my phone into a handwarmer. I'm wondering if I'm doing anything wrong, or is this just how X works in private spaces. It works fine in a full profile by itself along with a VPN, but when its put into a private space that's when the meltdown occurs. I also tried clearing cache but that quickly builds up too so is not a long term solution.
With Opus 5.5, I've been playing around with a lightweight view client for nostr, that combined with a server client that does all the heavy lifting, should mean little power and traffic usage. My idea was that having yet another serverside application which uses up the data center's energy (not mine) then maintaining a synchronized view with the client via packed minimal binary protocol with minimal radio wakeups. So the stack for me would be my relay and this new sync view server. Then the client side app. The front end is just a read only view atm. I don't want to reinvent the wheel here since wisp is already top notch. It's more that I think it's cool cresting an android app as it's not something I ever wanted to spend time learning. Cut to my agent doing scroll flick latency testing 😂. The next part includes threading, then creating signer integration so I can post too but. One of the reasons I liked the approach on android is that I wanted all connections to nostr to go through one endpoint, instead of relying on a VPN, which has privacy and battery advantages. Images are also fetched, resized, their dimensions known so scrolling into view does not cause UI jitter. Ultimately this is a side project to scratch an itch. My main project for cohesive nomadic online communities, is still going and I hope to share that down the line.
"What do you wish you knew before you implemented this feature? Updates memory to take that into account. Refactor your change based off these if you want" my goto
Yeah the puzzle enjoyment part of it gets abstracted away and it's like grading students
This was meant to be a reply to op @nprofile…cw4j
Maybe how people use private spaces etc. Stretching honestly. The best thing about GOS is that it just works and comparing something as simple as dns requests on a previous android phone vs GOS, it's like it works how I naively think "computers" should work e.g. not spamming requests, oh so quiet when I'm not using it.
I want a desktop or web ui client for when I'm on desktop. I selfhost a relay, I would like the client to use that host to pull from the nostr network as I dont want my home IP to leak at some point incase I skip vpn etc #asknostr
This would keep me amused and not leave my room for hours 😂
Where would you skedaddle to? It's not like the rest of the anglosphere is that much better save for 🇺🇸
"Domain suspended or not configured" maybe I'm late to the game
Made me think. For fun, given full git history too, it would be interesting for it to psychoanalyze the dev team and their methodology over time. The spec changes, business requirements pop up at the worst times, how spaghetti is my spaghetti code, do tell claude
Definitely. Will likely go up again just not to run into that. Clear the way for my cybernetic future.
Stepped down from max to pro tier after I took a break from coding, now I'm hitting limits for smaller stuff and I'm immediately frustrated like a fiend #claude
Seeing people buy houses young, followed by that feeling of stupidity once you're told they got help or it was bought for them. Not something in my world and fair play to those that do. If in doubt it's either family, debt or crime 😂
That animation after button press sent a pang of oh shit regret lmao well done
"Good for you, I asked for license and registration sir"
Will give it a listen tomorrow during work, thank you! Talking about london pirate radio, I know of a playlist of old kissfm 90s bukem, fabio, grooverider, Randall, hype etc that I go through, for anyone interested

It was a pain at first but once I let Claude have a go, it's a no brainer. The nix shell alone is worth it (flake - special mention). Impermanence made me honest!
Been listening to this. Settled on funky Ramsgate being my fav, before that it was nauti boi dub. Thanks again!
With enough screens you can block out the sun and save money on blinds
Yeah but what about that TLD 😮 oooooooo
Delayed graniteifcation (sounded funny in my head)
Same but for a few years shy of you. The phrase "use Linux if you don't value your free time" still makes me laugh as it's true but I enjoy it regardless and won't switch back. I look up those Unix rice things from time to time to see some new nice tool that solves what my half baked scripting tries and fails at
Opus figured out a nixos issue I was having for ages. Sonnet did well but Opus was able to get the final part relatively quickly. Now I got a sweet luks/btrfs/impermanence setup. Initially wanted to go this route to force myself to keep track of my desktop and various settings, plus to encourage backing up. I don't know if I'll use it as a daily driver but it is quite tidy so far. #nixos #claude
It's Barry's world and we're all just living in it
Cheers! I hope to get something more like your setup from the future but find it fun as it is currently. 🍻
@nprofile…jejf damn the reply to reply in notification pane is 🙌
Mind telling which you think should be listed?
Off topic. For Claude, do you know if people are using pay as you go Platform API or Claude Max? My Platform API costs are more than the Max plan, wondering if the Max plan is better value?
@nprofile…jejf
very cool!

Fediverse uses boost. It's like trying to define a word without using it in the definition. I say google it on other search engines, as I use the term retweet on her and fedi
Same here. Finally clearing out the shelved weekend projects 🤓
Iabsentmindedly run a public relay (not blossom), not thinking about that angle of abuse at all! I'll likely put them into whitelisted mode to not have to deal with that criminality. Until a better method exists to stop the propagation of that at the relay level.
Yes. Like those signing with nostr logins that allow amber to also be used
Need pointers on the feature of logging into websites using the nostr identity. Is there a NIP for that? Any framework or libs recommended? Save me time please 😭 #asknostr
Setting up an anon dnscrypt relay for you people to use. Will put it up in a day or two. Does anyone use that? #asknostr
Locked myself out of a a server, no fallback, rookie mistake. Spent rest of day fixing up ansible playbooks so I don't have to care about that. Wipe and start again. Not using contaners due to hardware constraints and heterogeneous boxes rules out easy nixos usage, so ansible it is.
Running this now on wss://nostr.dontyou.click

Draft. Private please, otherwise I would just post it if ppl can see already
5 guys but it's so expensive. Credit due to McDonald's triple cheeseburger which lives in the shadow of the Big Mac and therefore severely underrated
You are right. Tested against my own to confirm.
What's the source of image. Are these favicon.ico?
