@npub1xnf…lpr5 what is your standard for openning channels to Olympus?
8 sats/vbyte lets start opening channels like a motherfucker!
I know people that got their account blocked by Paypal and they just literally gave up, because of how absurd they are
I'm hammering raw milk golden lattes right now. Fuck this heat. love the sun thought
@npub1sg6…f63m you had posted a link to a glass water bottle that was protected with cork. do you happen to remember it?
@npub1cj6…86t6 is the main mantainer. I can tell you that there are some documentation issues between the website and the code.
What I'm doing for know is just inspecting the source directly.

Hi everyone!, I have just released a new implementation for Cashu mints, Nutmix!.
You can see the roadmap and source code here: https://github.com/lescuer97/nutmix
It's available right now on Mutinynet signet: https://mutinynet.nutmix.cash
Please go and try break it!
If it very well made it could probably go for something like 150-200€ maybe more
To anyone that sees this after. Turns out I'm retarded and I'm the one that caused the problem
htmx is such a great tool for basic dashboard interactions
Yeah,I even restarted my phone but same issue still
I can't see them coming in, I'll DM you!
@npub1kva…tkzv is receiving zaps broken at te moment ? I don't seem to be receiving them
Hi @npub1h8n…rpev !, first of all thank you for all you do for the Bitcoin education space.
I don't want to be the 'actually 🤓' kind of guy, but I just wanted to point out a correction from an episode about Ecash being Self-Custodial around minute 1:02 (https://fountain.fm/clip/NYZOksMT97KgxEpA8HMv ) you talk about the free banking era and how the banknotes of other banks were valued at par against other banks by the population. This is not quite correct; at the edges of the financial system, there were money brokers whose job was to arbitrage by buying devalued notes and then redeeming them at par in the banks' offices.
Here is a quote about this topic from Rothbard's 'History of Money and Banking in the United States: The Colonial Era to World War II'. Page 78:
"In that era of poor communications and high transportation costs, the tendency for a bank note was to depreciate in proportion to its distance from the home office. One effective, if time-consuming, method of enforcing redemption on nominally specie-paying banks was the emergence of a class of professional 'money brokers.' These brokers would buy up a mass of depreciated notes of nominally specie-paying banks and then travel to the home office of the bank to demand redemption in specie. Merchants, money brokers, bankers, and the general public were aided in evaluating the various state bank notes by the development of monthly journals known as 'bank note detectors.' These 'detectors' were published by money brokers and periodically evaluated the market rate of various banknotes in relation to specie."
This would lead me to believe that, as @npub1t0n…jgqv said, there would be money brokers, likely 'bot' money brokers, that would act as arbitrageurs for different mints. Things like bitcoinmints.com could help create a web of trust and set a market for different ecash denominations and mints.
Thank you for all your great work!
Should be called #BETH3.0
I lived in his municipality's when I was a kid, my parents always said thathes did a decent job, specially with the conditions at the time
Have a great trip!
I don't know where you live but the Sun in Spain can hit you like a truck, bring a hat!
that looks like it yes, that is also why the spec says that you need to check what each mint supports
This is something I have been given it some thought for things like video encoding. Twitch for example has a huge cost problem in terms of bandwidth it could be interesting to see a p2p network of local encoders distribute video streams locally and get paid for it either by the users or twitch themselves. All paid for and settled behind the scenes with ecash.
I kept putting it off and it ended up costing me almost 100€ more 😅
I would not imagine the creator of Nostr being any less based
I'm just disappointed @npub180c…h6w6 is not called Jeff
I do miss those empty blocks sometimes

I would love to know the mean zap?

I have seen some IG post that if you look at the comments from my GF account and they are outrage to the opposite of what I see.

A story about the Spanish tax authorities
#nevent1q…577l
Here's not fun story about taxes in Spain: Once, I forgot to make a quarterly income tax payment to the Spanish Tax Agency (Agencia Tributaria). They waited until I was four months in default before informing me that I had not paid.
I had given them permission to deduct the amount from a specific bank account. However, I didn't have enough money in that account, so the charge failed. Since they were supposed to take it out themselves, one would think they should know instantly and notify me accordingly. But unfortunately, this was not the case...
Being four months in default meant they could fine me between 10% and 20%, plus interest, on the outstanding amount. I had also given them explicit permission to communicate with me via email (by default, they can only communicate through the postal service).
This situation suggests two possibilities:
1- They took four months to notice that I hadn't made a payment, then seized the opportunity to fine me.
2- They knew I was in default and waited the required three months before imposing a penalty.
I will never know which scenario is true because of how incentives are aligned with tax agents in Spain; either could be possible.
I live in Spain and it is insane how much time I waste on taxes as a self employed person. Everything from social security, income tax and different fees are drowning. I pay a tax advisor for services and even with that I calculated that I have to waste at least 3 hours a week collecting paperwork.
This is also not any help that the spanish tax authority is one of the most persecuting and demanding in the world.
Long polling could be an interesting solution for mobile. I would need to do a deepdive to see if upgrading to WebTransport would make sense when available. Although using QUIC for fast setup seems promising.
I have been wondering if using WebTransport could help with reliability.
I have always felt that programming is almost godlike. You can conjure things into existence that can be used by millions of people.
This is an interesting difference between this two model from @npub1730…9yky

I think this is a clear example of a model being trained with much more data an parameters. Pretty neat stuff.
I was going yo develop this exact library, awesome to see it
omg I think I confused Guy and @npub180c…h6w6 😂
@npub1h8n…rpev I'm testing out kagi.com right now. I saw you recommend it, how are your feelings about it?
@npub1730…9yky is your data training broken right now?
I'm trying to upload a git repo for training from a github but I keep getting this error:
"FAILED - Could not clone repository. Double-check the URL"
Just in case you need more support
I was doing a restore, so I might have been rate limited.
Do you think it would be different if a Fedimint was ran by the 3 members of Mutiny?
@npub16c0…6nvr Primal is doing some weird stuff when using the native Graphene OS keyboard. Have you seen this happening?
hahaha, I meant that people are don't grasp the differences between each other.
People could also be confusing fedimint and Cashu on a fundamental level
I think I rememberhearingi in a podcastthati there is a way theorical way to multisig the signing of the mint. I don't think there is code out for that though.
I have never seen anything about cashu being multisig
Luckily because of the lightning network it won't matter that Mutiny will not support Cashu.
I think there is a case for both, I could see something like a "Wallet of Satoshi" like wallet with cashu ecash because of the simplicity of running a mint.
@npub1kva…tkzv is your server down? I'm trying to do some ops but I'm getting network errors
Madrid but the people part could be hard
Thank you! I'll look in that direction!
What would be the great advantage over Linux? say for example running a Cashu Mint?
@npub1az9…m8y8 what distribution of BSD do you recommend or use?
I think this is going to be pretty hard on because of the chaos that naturally happens in the protocol.
as a temporary solution, would leaving a note at the top of the newsletter like: "This articles is more readable in <insert client>" would be a temporary solution.
I would be like a small popular vote on design, because people like reading your articles.
@npub1xnf…lpr5 I'm having trouble connecting to mutinynet node running on Voltage. have you guys seen this?
ohhh its a 4 year old steer, the price now seems much more resonable
Black Angus is expensive, but if you are in Germany 36$ for a pound of Rib eye does sound expensive. If they have it I would also try to buy something like mince meat, obviously if it's at a decent price.
If you think you are going to do this enough, I would recommend you to look at Ortlieb they have some quick detach bags and frame bags that could be useful 🚴
Did you feel okey with the backpack for an hour? I would imagine it could be rough specially if it's warm outside
for every denomination of ecash there is a calle
Love the retro design of this wallet!
I recently broke my Pixel 6A screen and managed to get parts from IFixIt except for removing the adhesive it was an okey procedure.
I later check what would have happened if it was my GF Iphone that broke. It would have been wayyy more expensive because if I wanted an original screen I would have had to take it to an approved shop. It radicalized me even more against Apple
so all linux developers should go to prison?
It would be cool to have him do a roundtable on bitcoin as the foundation of ecash.
my bikepacking trip was a great reminder of how important cardio and natural light are for the body
I love doing Dips when working out but boy do they suck when you are actually doing them
I actually love your windmill painting!
I truly don't know if that is an edit or a sticker haha

my gym is in the EU district in Brussels, the amount of soyboys by squared meter in that gym is astounding
I wonder if they have this part of their code open sourced
I thought of that until I had to doan very hard stop and almost broke my big toe.
Barefoot shoes driving is awesome thought
I edited the post, let's see if it propagates correctly! 🏋
Damn! hahaha you are totally right, sorry!
Its awesome to see a client that payed after me with a credit card an it took wayyy longer than the lightning payment. It's incredible to think that the shop also gets immediate final settlement with lightning
Just went into a coffee shop that accepts Lightning payments in Eindhoven during my Bikepacking trip.
Found it thanks to @npub1864…t2tq
They actually have very nice coffee.

@npub132e…zmdh did you happen to find the shoes you were looking for? I'm now in the market for a similar shoe
turns out the wait was worth it
I going full retard and waiting for Sunday. will I regret this? probably...
I think what's going to happen is that open channels are probably going to grow somewhat proportional to fees.
if channels were 1M Sats while 10sat/vByte is not going to be 10M Sats for 100sats/vByte, at least that was my initial thought when thinking of opening a channel in this environment.
my brother, do you sleep? hahaha. I'm in Europe and it feels like I always see your posts haha
I just paid for it a couple months ago, on what plan is it included?
Took the oportunity, I bought some more 😂
The country that has the most energy resources in the EU that could benefit their population with mining. Doesn't want want to use mining.
What a joke.
@npub1u8l…turz are you guys going to make DLC bet for how far fees spike for the halving block?
I remember trying to read Mein Kampf years ago. I never finished it, I didn't like the amount of recent in the book and how it was written.
I imagine a book called "The last white man" is even fuller of that.
I forget that I can't edit, so I need to proof read 😂
I used to live in Spain and my friends here use Olive oil for scrambled eggs. They are very good. But nothing better that eggs with eggs made with an obscene amount of high quality butter
@npub1mut…23vg do you know if hodl invoices not working with a fedimint is something with the Wallet or the actual fedimint?
#nostr #fedimint
So glad I opened some channels before this fee spike. Sadly I did not do as much consolidation as I wished.

@npub12rv…85vg have you talked to the ten-ten-one guys? I would imagine they could help you with DLCs for USD ecash
Men when I see cranberry harvest pictures the only think I think of is about that post about Wolf spiders climbing over you because they use them as a type of natural insecticide.
Meshtastic is such an awesome protocol, I have a dream of putting a buch around my city
Recently I turned it off and I actually feel how my code has improved, specially flow. You get in the zone much quicker.
I do turn it on if I know I have to so some repetitive task
@npub1qny…95gx I saw you recommended the "freedom one" fedimint, do you know who are the people behind it? is there a good source of information for this things?
@npub1mut…23vg how can I find more info about mints?
I'm trying to get some more info on "freedom one" but I don't see anything
Does anybody know who the guys behind the freedom one Fedimint are?
#asknostr #fedimint
Time to test @npub1mut…23vg LN Addresses. I'm loving this eCash Solutions!.
I'm on boarding a friend in a couple of days by paying him back some dinner money. Do you guys think the current mints are a good way to onboard right now for this low quantities?

@nprofile…a7p7 is there any plan to implement nsecbunker auth to your website?
started using vimium in the browser because I lost my mouse in the airport hahaha. any recommended tips or modifications? #asknostr
Have you guys, implemented a minimum web of trust of recommendation of a Fedimint?
I keep wondering if the Fedimint that shows as recommended by you is actually you.
