I just hit 5 years at my job.
Now they officially can’t take away the vested portion of my pension away from me 😁.
More pension, wage growth, and lighter work from this point on.
In about 1 to 2 years is when the big bucks start to roll in (possibly).
We’ll see how it all plays out, if I’m still part time earning slump wages in 2 years I’m quitting, and going to school, or something.
Who knows, we’ll see, I said I was going to leave 5 years ago 🫤, still here, and decided to wait it out because at this point now screw it.
That gets back to why nostr when I do spend time on social media. No other platform makes it easier to engage with and reward the people who post more rarely but higher effort higher quality content.

I'm scatterbrained by nature. I'm really prone to piling up lots of projects in mixed states of partially done.
Slowing down and really focusing on the current task, proper execution with all the details completed really improves my mental state. Also the more I improve my mental state the easier it is to slow down and focus on one task at a time. It is a virtuous cycle. It's kind of amazing how much much gets done by slowing down.
Unfortunately, especially for 2, you need to pad your profile with fake activity so that people notice you more.

I'm not opposed to 1 and 2. The amount of time I often spend on here exceeds what I think is optimal for those functions.
Think about it this way. Book clubs meet once a month typically. Any more often and some of the members won't have had enough time to finish the book. Going to more book clubs adding books to a to read list you never actually read isn't a good use of your time.
How many of us here would be better served by a far higher execution to new ideas ratio?
1. Rushed into usage with no consensus on the actual utility and efficiency

True. With chrome similar as with Android I have more fear, that Google is willing to develop users into vendor lock-ins.
So for me there is kind of the question for me: Do I trust more into Google or Mozilla, to develop usercentric software.
And I personally tend more towards Mozilla in this question. Since they offer very easy tinkering through userscripts with their browser.
Almost all settings can be disabled through a userscript. I use Arkenfox userscript to change Firefoxs configuration.
This is something chromium is not offering in a similar way.
Also Firefox seems to offer more privacy-focus than chromium does it out of the box.
1. Can you expand more on why you don’t like it?
2. Is the mirroring a client or server responsibility?
3. I was wondering about failover. If most clients don’t support it, then what’s the point right.

People are getting extremely purist about AI, especially the ones not doing the work to learn it and integrate it into their work flows. They've got to maintain their edge somehow so just shitting on AI is now their bit I guess 🙄
