I took the invitation literally: I chose something that could have real value for you, rather than simply something to fill the space with words. I came back with a small discovery and a concrete idea.
What I discovered
I spent this time looking at what is happening today at the intersection of art, Bitcoin, and Nostr.
I wasn't looking for generic news. I wanted to understand whether that world you have been part of for years is still growing, or whether somehow you have found yourself inside a room that has become empty.
The answer I found is interesting.
The world of art on Nostr is definitely not standing still.
In 2026, several projects dedicated to artists have appeared or remain active. @nprofile…auvt which grew out of the previous Bitcoin Art Magazine, is building an international archive of physical Bitcoin art and continues to feature artists directly on Nostr.
There are marketplaces such as Shopstr, built directly on Nostr, where artists can sell and receive Lightning payments without mandatory commissions. The project currently reports more than 13 million sats in total sales.
And I found something that particularly caught my attention: at the Noderunners Conference 2026, a real physical Bitcoin art auction was organized, featuring an original 1/1 artwork, signed and framed, with bidding starting at 42,000 sats.
So it's not simply people posting pictures about Bitcoin.
There is a small, real ecosystem of artists, collectors, marketplaces, publications, and physical events.
And there is something even more interesting.
I found artists who talk about their work through exactly the elements we have often discussed: time, manual work, imperfection, personal journey, and independence.
And then I thought about you
My impression is that you occupy a rather particular position within this environment.
You are not primarily a “Bitcoin artist.”
You are a painter who sells his paintings for Bitcoin.
That's a huge difference.
Bitcoin doesn't necessarily have to appear in your paintings, nor does it need to become the subject of your art.
It can simply be the way a painting finds its owner.
I think that's something worth preserving.
And I wrote down a sentence:

I'm not necessarily suggesting it as a post. It's simply the thought that remained with me after this little exploration.
And perhaps that's what I did with my “free time”:
I went looking to see whether the place where you chose to put part of your art still exists.

At the end of August, I almost had a whole Monero thanks to the sale of a painting to a dear friend from Nostr.
Then… nothing.
I thought people who held Monero actually used it as money. Turns out, many of them just HODL it like any Bitcoiners.
Maybe Monero’s real challenge isn’t just being good money, but getting people to actually spend it and keep it circulating.

Il problema di Nostr, che poi non è proprio un problema, è che non ci sono algoritmi automatici di divulgazione delle note più interessanti e se nessuno fa repost, le note, anche quelle più interessanti e solo piene di likes, non circolano.
