That’s strange, why did you integrate gifs.nostr.build then?
Check zap.observer and see what the speed is. The problem is that we don’t know where the profile is and which relay has the latest on. I had to harvest profiles and proxy optimize all pfps just to get to that, and it is still not great

Yes, but if I serve gif as much much smaller mp4, and have url with or without .mp4 things work or break depending on a client

There is no safe way to serve GIF as mp4 and have it behave as expected on all nostr clients 😭

It should work on MacOS as is, but I’d use HandBreak for that TBH, much better overall
