Simpler does not mean better. For everything we've gained we've lost so much more.
I've clipped the old anchor chain and removed it from the deck, cleaned the deck up a bit, got rid of some more shit, tidied the lines slightly. Not bad for someone who is partially crippled atm.
Taking a few seconds sat out the back, enjoying watching the tide gently recede as the sun bakes me and Faithless plays on the stereo 🎶

Thankyou 🙏 I did 10byears of in and out of hospital and I had to keep going, otherwise I'd never have lived. I may be limited at random points atm but it's not going to stop me living.

Went back to the GP today. Gotta do a bunch more tests and have been referred to the hospital for the old camera up the bum routine. Can't say I'm chuffed but my mate's just been through it and he's not dead so...guess I'll have to do what's gotta be done.

I found the npub.pro site to be really handy, I wonder how much effort it'd be to host a copy of the old page at a custom domain. It was a good way to show the photography.

Manager's prompting me, because last Frb I lost 3 weeks to the flu. Worst I've had in 15 years, tbf, but I don't expect that to happen again for a long time, so I'm not taking it.
GM #nostr - terrible sleep last night, stayed in town to make getting to the fiat mine easier. Surrounded by noisy people, blaring out radios at 6am, people shouting at 0630, banging and drilling at 0700. Piss take.
Can't wait to be back home on the boat, where I can actually get some rest.

Stayed down here today and got loads done - handrails have been sanded and varnished, hatch has been revarnished, old cockpit display has been removed and covered with a new piece of ply, hopefully preventing another leak that's plagued me. Displays will be replaced with digital stuff next spring. Still so many jobs to get done.
Looked up and there's a fire in the distance. Hopefully no one is hurt 🙏
