Today marks a significant milestone as I announce my retirement. Over a decade ago, I embarked on an adventure with #Bitcoin ATMs, a journey that began with its fair share of challenges. My experience as an operator was fraught with difficulties, dealing with manufacturers who failed to meet expectations in delivery, stability, and features. This led me to join the team at generalbytes.com, which at the time was a small but ambitious group. Our goal was clear: to establish the company as the premier Bitcoin ATM platform by providing the best features at the most competitive prices.
Through dedication and innovation, we have expanded globally, boasting over 11,000 installed machines, claiming more than 30 percent of the market share, and growing our team to over 60 employees. Today, GENERAL BYTES stands as the leading #BitcoinATM manufacturer in the industry.
As I transition into retirement, I look forward to cherishing moments with family and friends, embracing a period of relaxation that has been long overdue—save for a memorable week spent in California in the mid-2000s. The adjustment to a slower pace of life will be new to me, but it's a change I welcome with open arms and a hint of humor.
The plan for my immediate future involves indulging in the vast array of entertainment that Netflix has to offer. Once I've explored the depths of its library, I'll turn my attention to seeking new ventures that will contribute to the enhancement and fortification of Bitcoin.

Morning fellow Bitcoiners! ☕️
Looking forward to a bit of rest this weekend, my body is hurtin lol.
This past week has been rewarding though.
Here’s a few photos of the job I’m currently working on and should have wrapped up early next week. I know it doesn’t look like much, and really it’s not, just a lot of work that’s all. Client wanted a walkway down the side of the house, a place to bbq in-front of the deck, and a sitting space around the shed. I personally would’ve connected them all, but the client didn’t want that.
What are your thoughts on this colour palette?

GM fam 💜 I had and have some very busy days...still there is always time for high vibrational food. Yes, also juice is food... It's packed with vitamins, minerals, enzymes (when cold pressed) and other beneficial nutrients from plants like chlorophyl etc.

Hi nostr, i think i got a bit overheated while i was out trimming bushes today. So i'm drinking electrolytes and resting indoors now. This weather is weird, we had storms again last night, supposed to have more storms tonight. I dont sleep well during storms, so not looking forward to it.
Earlier we took a drive to buy some pecans and visit my fav meat market (read my funny experience with the "pecan store" from earlier today). We stopped at a roadside peach stand, and i was wearing my btc visor cap. The guy said "nice cap", and of course we struck up a conversation. He said he had 10 btc back in 2010, and like many others, sold it later. I guess there are many folks that did that. Anyway, yall have a good evening nostr friends. Good morning nostr, today i thought i might go buy some pecans at a pecan farm/store, but we'll see when the storms are supposed to come through. Yes, we have more storms in the forecast. 😒. Also, the meat market is not too far from the pecan place, so we might see what they have. Anyway, we'll see if the weather holds out, because we dont want to be on the road during a storm, they have been pretty fierce lately. I like this idea, but lack of encrypted messaging (Signal/Matrix) makes this a no-go for me.
I second the recommendation of GrapheneOS to at least prevent some of the tracking.
Having a simpler phone would be great, but a good second choice is to limit what apps you install so you have less distractions available.
There have been several times where I've picked up my phone because I'm slightly bored, stared at the home screen for a few moments, and put it back down after nothing grabs me. After that happened a few times, I've started reaching for my phone less often.

Zásadní rozdíl mezi levicovou anarchií a anarchokapitalismem je možnost vytváření dobrovolných hierarchií a struktur. Jak se lidé v těch strukturách budou rozhodovat je čistě na nich. Třeba najdou trvale lepší způsob. Já si ovšem ve své nabubřelosti myslím, že to stejně bude nějaká varianta demokratického rozhodování. Ale už to nebude muset být demokracie, kterou známe z naší politiky. Každý hlas nemá stejnou váhu (to nemá ani v SVJ), na rozhodnutí nemusí stačit prostá většina, tři, pět, x členů dohromady mohou rozhodnutí zablokovat, atd., atd... Skvělá je ta dobrovolnost, která lidem umožní experimentovat a najít způsob, který vyhovuje právě jim.

Vždyť jsem přeci psal, že souhlasím. Že je pravda, že demokracie lidi rozděluje respektive z nich dělá nepřátele. Jen jsem dodal, že být semknutý proti tyranovi není ta lepší varianta... Představ si něco malého, něco hodně blízko jednotlivci. Třeba takové SVJ, co bude fungovat lépe než demokracie? Jasně Lála bude nenávidět Nováka, protože mu neodhlasuje opravu výtahu, ale fakt mě nenapadá, jak to lépe uspořádat.
