"Not your keys, not your coins" is the law.
But what good are your keys if they make you a target?
────────────────────
Individual custody is non-negotiable.
But traditional self-custody comes with a deadly vulnerability:
Your keys become a beacon for physical coercion.
────────────────────
Great Wall delivers true individual custody without the physical threat.
Deviceless. Stateless. Coercion-resistant.
Your digital assets physically secure.

Coercion is now a failed attack vector.
With TKBA, you cannot be forced to surrender your assets under duress.¹
Read that again.
This is the future of self-sovereignty.
────────────────────
Traditional self-custody relies on secrets you can reveal under threat.
TKBA (Tacit Knowledge-Based Authentication) changes the game:
- Deviceless authentication
- Time-bound access controls
- Coercion-resistant by design
When attackers can't extract what doesn't exist in extractable form, physical threats become obsolete.

Your digital assets physically secure.

How do you stop a $5 wrench attack?
You make it impossible to succeed.
Great Wall's TKBA protocol requires both time and tacit knowledge.
An attacker with a wrench has neither.
────────────────────
Traditional self-custody fails under coercion because:
→ You CAN give up your keys
→ You CAN unlock your device
→ You CAN transfer your assets
TKBA changes the equation:
→ Deviceless — nothing to seize
→ Time-bound — no instant access
→ Tacit knowledge — impossible to extract under duress
────────────────────
This isn't security through obscurity.
This is security through impossibility.
Your digital assets physically secure.

The current self-custody model forces you to live in a "culture of fear."
↳ Don't talk about your stash
↳ Don't reveal you are a Bitcoiner
↳ Don't spread the word
We believe in a different future:
𝗟𝗼𝘂𝗱, 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗱, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗲.
That's why we built Great Wall.
────────────────────
An attacker with a wrench doesn't care about your encryption.
They care about YOU.
Our TKBA protocol takes you—the physical target—out of the equation.

You bought a hardware wallet to escape exchange risk.
Smart move.
But what protects you from a mugging?
A home invasion?
A kidnapping?
You just traded counterparty risk for physical risk.
────────────────────
The problem isn't your encryption.
The problem isn't your seed phrase storage.
The problem is YOU—under duress.
────────────────────
It's time for a new paradigm.
One that's anti-fragile.
One that's coercion-resistant.
One where physical threats can't compromise your assets.
Your digital assets physically secure.

The core problem in crypto isn't code.
It's coercion.
────────────────────
Your private keys can be unbreakable.
Your encryption can be military-grade.
Your hardware wallet can be state-of-the-art.
None of it matters when someone has a wrench—or your family.
────────────────────
We are building the first protocol that makes physical force futile.
Not by hiding.
Not by obscurity.
By design.
This is coercion-resistance at the protocol level.

Why spend months hacking code when "fear is faster"?
The $5 wrench attack is low-skill, high-reward, and brutally effective.
Your hardware wallet makes you a target.
────────────────────
"Even if you have really good digital security, if you're being beaten with a wrench, you're probably going to tell the password."
— Jeff John Roberts, Fortune

────────────────────
The uncomfortable truth:
- Wrench attacks are now "a preferred tactic for criminal groups with limited technical skill"
- Criminals specifically target hardware wallet owners
- Your encryption is irrelevant under physical coercion
────────────────────
Digital security ≠ Physical security
We need coercion-resistant solutions.

Reports of physical crypto attacks ("wrench attacks") surged 33% from 2023 to 2024—with 2025 accelerating at an alarming rate.
https://fortune.com/crypto/2025/02/03/bitcoin-kidnapping-insurance/
Why?
Because obscurity-based security is fragile.
Hiding is not a plan.
────────────────────
The data:
- 2023: 18 documented attacks
- 2024: 24 documented attacks
- 2025: 8 attacks in January alone
Source: Jameson Lopp's ongoing wrench attack chronology
────────────────────
When physical coercion enters the equation, even the strongest encryption becomes irrelevant.
We need anti-fragile solutions—not just better locks.

This isn't FUD.
This is the "$5 wrench attack."
And "vanilla self-custody" has no answer for it.
