I don't think so. Women produce babies and raise them practically for free, women survive on women's salary. You can't negotiate with a machine, it will take as much as it needs, no more no less. And trying to replicate gestation and childbirth is just more difficult than to do it "naturally" and will most likely require more resources. And then think of the cost of assembling, maintaining and feeding enough machines to replace all women. And who will do the raising of synthetic babies after "birth"? If you expect normal women to do it for free you'd need a whole new brainwashing campaign, to suppress opposition and critique, to develop the narrative. Hiring nannies will just turn out more costly. So I don't buy into depopulation idea, it's not gonna happen.
