Johnny Peligro (npub12ha…w5tw) Phantasm (npub1er2…arq5) SuperPikameeFriend (npub1f7t…3yrk) I tried fedora xfce for about an hour just to see if there were any new mind blowing improvements that would make me switch immediately. Not really tbh. There were some genuine improvements but ironically those seem to have come from trying to ape gnome. For instance the settings menu on this version is FAR better than what I had on by xubuntu install.
I think I will try gnome for about a month and see if I can work through the issues I'm having so far. If I cant, I guess I will crawl back to xfce and customize what I can.
I took a look at the other desktops and... idk I'm not impressed. They just look like old Windows. I really doubt that non mainstream DEs are going to be a polished experience either.
