Hand-drawn sprites in games is truly special and unique nowadays. Too often, developers (even the big ones) will just use Unity or UE to render their characters. When a developer does use hand-drawn sprites properly, it can look amazing.
Streets of Rage 4 is one of those games. It will still look incredible 4 decades from now.
