Not directly. I'm not writing back at those books. But the way I've thought through the worlds in my stories is via materialism.

For example, in my sci-fi book, I've posited that capitalism has been tamed-to-killed bc that's how we survive the climate crisis. Also, it takes a huge weapon away from bigotry.
