It is an insult, and even demotivating as hell! Why would you work hard, if the salary increase won't even reach the inflation levels!
I think you are closer to solve this issue than others because you already realized this.
So bad to see, that hard working people are not paying attention to this, and becoming poorer and poorer each year.
